I started filming back in June. In May, my precious cat ran away and I heard her distressful meow one night and she never came back. In my grief, I bought two trail cams to see if she came back or if any larger animal was responsible for her disappearance and I haven't seen her. She hasn't come back yet. Although I have set out some cat food to lure her I get several different cats, possums, and I saw a rabbit once but not feeding. I did get a Vulture for about 2 months. He brought a friend but he himself was the only one who ate the food. I fed a feral cat that I called Brom Bones for over 5 years and he has been gone since July. I miss him. I love watching the possums chase crickets and eat other critters and stop to clean their face in front of the cam. I fell in love with a Pretty Cat as I named her. She showed up for two months and moved along. :(

thx for sharing what travels thru your backyard. I had purchased a trail cam, curious about what travels thru my backyard at night (upper mid west) than thought it would be just silly since i live fairly urban. You have inspired me to follow thru!

Do these cats have a safe place to run to? I hope they have a safe box to dash into when needed.

I came across your video cause I love to watch trail cams when they're posted. If you have a local animal shelter or ASPCA you could contact them about your feral population. They may have a TNR program, and that would curb the unwanted population. They trap the cats, spay/ neuter them, then bring them back to their home territory. Sometimes, depending on the organization, they will try to tame them down and place them for adoption. Just thought it may be something to help with the expanding colony. Thanks for posting your video.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe you have captured on your camera the predator responsible for your missing cats: Coyotes. We have them here in SC in packs of 10-12 or lone hunters. They are even bold enough to run through the neighborhoods and golf courses in broad daylight. Cats who show up around here never last for very long unless they are strictly indoor babies. Very sad. 😢
