- Andy Davis was enjoying his morning coffee and preparing for an early workout when four mountain lions suddenly jumped onto his porch in Conifer, Colorado.
Davis said that seeing wildlife such as deer and elk is quite common but this was the first time he had ever seen a mountain lion so he grabbed his phone and began to record.

They're so beautiful. I'd rather see four Mountain Lions checking out my deck than one Human sneaking around it.
Got that right. And keep the lions ,you won't have prowlers
Not me. Ppl are stupid and clumsy, These guys are stealth, you will never know what hit you...
Just as dangerous as the humans. Don't be so naive.
I once saw a video of 1 mountain lion attack a huge Doberman pinscher. It was sudden and terrifying. You don’t ever want to be face to face w a lion or a bear.
Please shut the hell up
This is what happens when you build a good deck. EVERYBODY wants to hang out on it.
😂😂😂🙌
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😩
Hahaha and then how they left using the stairs in single file all proper 😅😂
LMFAO!!!!
Happy Harry nah they was just getting a quick huddle in to figure out the next play
Knowing that there's four of them out there I don't believe I would ever be able to go outside in the dark ever again
Or daytime either. Basically never.

They are the hunters. Thats scary as heck. He need an 8ft electric fence and couple of pow pows when he goes outside.
See the guy in the yellow jacket towards the end

Four very dehydrated mountain lions. Thank goodness they found a water source. Mother and three cubs. Beautiful.
Those are Mtn Lion Kittens not cubs😼😾 Bears have Cubs !! 🐻
Curious how you know how dehydrated these cats are?
Mountain lions can be kittens or cubs
@@ticklefritz5406why do people have to be so rude to people's harmless comments. They were probably very thirsty risking coming on people's property to find water. There are times when there's hardly no rain and of course people keep building where they find food.
@@stephenkittle6586you need to look up cats and know these are cubs not kittens.
My Advice: Don't ever sunbath on the porch with headphones on.
No worries that animal wants nothing to do with you.
Seems wildlife are always wondering around in Colorado. Last time I stayed at a motel there, elk came into the parking lot making all kinds of noises.
Nonsense of predator animals won't hurt you unless 'insert reason here' are why family's continue to lose children and adults are attacked. I lived in Colorado for five years hiking with my son Joe that had muscular dystrophy in a special made backpack so he could explore places others with his condition couldn't. I carried a 45 caliber and people made their comments one family was headed up a trail my son and I came down a female mountain lion that had never had cubs killed their son. 1999 I believe Poudre canyon reservoir trail
@@1STGeneral when that animal is on your porch he's not looking for trouble.
@@canam851 Anyone who doesn't consider a mountain lion deadly is a careless person. When a person over 6 foot uses their mountain bike to protect an injured child and the cat comes back after emergency personnel are there and has to be put down is not going to play nice if they claim the area in this video as their's. I currently live in a remote area of the Appalachian mountains with a stream on our property and understand living remotely you need to know and respect your surroundings
I love the way you recorded this. Quiet and respectful.

Because if he didn't IT could've been a different outcome 😮
They would turn their head and ears when he whispered. They could hear him.
Nice footage.
They just calmly came by "for coffee" and left when done. Nature is fantastic and we humans have to let it be in peace. Best video.
For Coffee?? I’d rather say for the family dog or cat!! 😆😆
I've never seen a pride of mountain lions that old together like that.
Must be a family unit but usually they're split up by the time they're that old.
That's impressive to see them so casual, thry all look very healthy too...
One adult female and her three almost grown cubs. The fact she got all three grown is impressive.

There goes the neighborhood......
If you move into a wild animal's space, you must treat them with respect just the way this was done. Truly heartwarming and moving, fear is not the answer, they belong.
What is this stupid leftist fantasy about "treating them with respect"??!!! Don't you remember the two moronic lefties who "respected" the grizzlies until one day they simply got eaten??!!! No wild animal ever says to himself, "Wow, she really respects me." NO! They say to themselves, "Gee, I'm really not hungry right now, but if she's stupid enough to hang around here long enough, I really love it when they're so fresh they keep squirming as I chew!!"
They're absolutely beautiful!! ❤
Beautiful creatures. Well mannered. Even took the stairs down to the driveway rather than walk on your grass. Well trained sir. Good job.

Legend has it those same four cats are still on that porch
yep, next time maybe a coffin on the porch.
They were really thirsty! So beautiful! Thank you for posting and being so quiet while capturing that moment!
I'd probably feel a little uneasy if I had a dog living there, but besides that, it's pretty awesome to see them chilling on your porch.
Pets are prey to wildlife. I talked with a man once in Costa Rica who said that he doesn’t have dogs anymore because crocodiles keep eating them.
@@gregnixon1296 I grew up on a river in Florida during the 70's-80's and yes gators will eat you dog if you let your dog walk up to the water and drink, but we never let our dogs leave the fenced in area that stopped 20 feet shy of the river.
And while gators can climb fences, they won't with a dog because they're ambush predators and much more shy than crocs, so dogs scare them away unless they're huge.
But mountain lions pose a much more potent threat on land because they're fast,, strong and agile and can practically jump over most fences and hide out in your tree till your dog goes out in the yard.
@@mikeef747I am spoiled living in the midwest..I let my dog go up to water all the time😃

I had the unexpected privilege and joy of seeing a puma in the wild on a university geology field training trip to Utah 40 years ago. The puma was on a steep roadcut above us, just watching, while slowly making his way up higher. He was absolutely magnificent, a hush fell over the whole group I was with, what a treat. Someone said “he must by nine feet tip to tail”. I wasn’t sure about that, but looked it up when I got back, and yes, mature pumas do get that long, partly because they have very long tails. The males can be 225 lbs. and the females top out at about 175, but most are smaller. They tend to weigh about what an average man does, 150 lbs. or so. I fell in love with pumas that day and never “got over” it! How wonderful to see a whole family group at once. Pumas won’t hurt people unless they threaten them, and of course, any mother, of any species, will be extra cautious and protective around her young. They don’t eat people or common pets (dogs and cats, who are omnivores and carnivores, respectively). They eat vegetarian, grazing animals like we humans do, they taste a lot better, compare eating beef to eating a jackal! They almost exclusively hunt deer, if available, and similar ungulates. But, if necessary, they will eat “mouse to moose” (sorry, don’t remember whom to credit for this quote). Most human/puma conflicts occur because they will kill and eat unprotected livestock like sheep and goats. We can’t expect them to understand they we consider these delicious ungulates off-limits, they must be protected in predator-proof enclosures, not just tethered on a picket rope waiting to be eaten!

The chances that they return while anyone is on the deck are very slim. They would have to be very hungry. Aside from that, small children shouldn't go anywhere away from their parents, or supervisors in that area.
No need to harm the cats or you would be killing every natural predator including wolves and bears.
The cougars just need to be deterred from the area and the owners of the home have to be super vigilant i.e. small pets, small children kept guarded, try not to travel at night, beware of overhangs.
