It’s so true. I was talking to my therapist about being hit as a kid and she was explaining that’s child abuse now and I was like “no, that’s just immigrant life”. Fully aware I can’t do the same to my kids.

I’m 5’0, my husband is 6’0 (with two brothers who are 6’1 and 6’2). I never wear heels but when I do it’s like a whole world I’ve never seen before. I didn’t know the tops of cars get dusty. And in their moms home, I’ve never been able to look at myself in the mirror because it’s to their height. One major plus of being this short? I have calves of steal. I’ve got body builder muscles because I have to tip toe for EVERYTHING. If you’re average height or above, think about how many times a day you have to tip toe or climb a counter to reach for anything. Times that by 20, and you’ve got strong calves 😉.

I had the same relationship with dogs up until college (Reed College in Portland, OR) and since many professors had theirs in their office during 1-1 meetings - I got used to it. Not to mention they were free to roam on campus and sit in lectures.
In childhood I would run as soon as I saw a dog and I would get chased until I made into the house 😂.

that question shouldve been what aspect of the daily show influenced who you are today...that was probably the intention behind that question...we kind of all have a general idea because you exude a lot of daily show as does john oliver and you do an excellent job of meeting the same standard of him...so yeah I get that it wasnt a well worded question but I think you got the idea of it and just riffed off that haha.
