Very clear and descriptive video. Thanks.
I believe this is my next ebike. As a short male it's great to find a company that offers all models in multiple sizes. Build in Germany.
Agreed not to many companies focus on the smaller frame sizes and it’s a big market for us. You’ll love the bike as it brings great value for the money 💰. Thanks for watching
Hi!
Your review are very clear and informative, but I miss that you mention the issues that are not so good about the bike. Cause there is always something that could have been bretter, right?
Thanks 🙏 for the feedback. As we develop more content we’ll be able to learn and provide better content to our viewers with their input. Ride safe and have an awesome 😎 season
Does the XXL frame fit tall guys? I stand at 6.6ft and I heard the sizes are different compared to standard bikes
Hello Tom, Height and inseam measurements will be the key to finding the correct frame size for you. Here is a link to the Cube site for the bike archiv.cube.eu/en/2021/433121. If scroll down and under the Geometry section you will see a box called “Calculate Frame Size” and this will tell you the correct frame size to go with based on your height and inseam length. Hope this helps.
Should i buy the one with the 400wh battery? 🔥
This would be a personal choice. For most people the 500wh is the smallest capacity that they want as they want to spend as much time as possible riding their electric bike. In our opinion the 400wh on a mountain bike is too small for an electric 🚲
Hi can you change a 500 for 625 battery in the same compartment by moving the locking mechanism up
If the cavity in the bike is large enough and there is an adjustable mount to accept the 625Wh battery then yes it can be added.
Hi! In your opinion, how does this stack up against the Giant Explore E+ since theyre about the same price?
While we don’t sell Giant bikes we can only comment on the Cube bikes. With the Cube you get a Complete Bosch system were as Giant you get a proprietary motor made by Yamaha, a proprietary battery non Yamaha battery and display. With Bosch getting parts will never be an issue with Giant you are relying on them to always have parts in the future. Suggest taking a look at many of the European magazines and eBike reviewers where Bosch pretty much dominates many categories for product feel, reliability and support. Hope this helps you.
@@SCOOTERETTI Ah ok, fair enough! Looks like a great bike
hello, is it possible to place a dropper seat? cant find if there is internal routing for that
Yes, you can add one. You may require drive unit removal to pass the housing then remove the battery to feed the housing behind the battery mount.
@@SCOOTERETTI thank you very much
I want this bike
Can you help me with this?? no one says where you can get the replacement/space battery, I have checked everywhere and no one sells them. I need a link.
Depending on your location these can be purchased from a Bosch eBike retailer or if you are located in North America, we have them available on our website here: scooteretti.com/collections/bosch-ebike-batteries and can ship to most area in Canada & the USA. Note many retailers won’t be able to ship batteries as you must be Dangerous Goods trained and certified to ship these batteries 🔋 legally.
Are they any good for advanced down hill mountain bike riding?
The bike was designed for beginner type riding, touring and the like. For advanced riding you would certainly want to look at a higher end bike or look at upgrading things like the fork, brakes etc..
Hi, what size is the motor, 250watt?
Hello, all Bosch motors produce 250 watts continuous. What changes between the different drive units is their torque outputs which range from 50 to 85Nm.
Can the battery be removed to be charged? For example if the bike was to be kept outdoors could I remove the battery to charge indoors?
Hello. Yes the battery is removable. It can be charged both on and off the bike.
@@SCOOTERETTI thanks guy awesome help for me
Is the tyre tubeless ready / compatible?
Hello, yes the bike 🚲 is tubeless ready.
Hi there,
I'm looking to purchase my first e bike, and I tried this specific model today, but I'm living in Finland where 3/4 of the year is basically with snow, I would like to ask if the design is water proof to ride in rainy / snowy condition please?
Hello, Like you we live in similar environments. When winter riding just like any regular bicycle preventative maintenance is ket. We are big fans of the Bosch system when riding in the winter due to the excellent resistance to the elements. A few things you should do are:
1- Use a product like Muc-Off Corrosion defense to protect the battery connectors on the bike (don't spray the battery) the residual coating from the connector on the bike will coat the battery terminals when you put the battery back on. You should also use this type of product or similar on other key areas on the bike subject to corrosion.
2- Keep the area of the motor axel clean and free of debris to prevent moisture penetration in the area.
3- Follow the Bosch battery maintenance guide for how to properly maintain your batteries. This can be found here: www.bosch-ebike.com/en/service/downloads
3- The rest of the bicycle should be maintained in the same manner as a traditional bicycle.
hope this helps,
@@SCOOTERETTI Thanks a lot for the super quick and very informative response, I never owned any ebike and haven't really rode a regular bike for quite a while, so I'm very looking forward to my first purchase, I was initially looking at super73 S2 model, but its quite pricey and I've told better to not ride it when its raining or snowing, so then I discover this model, can I please ask how often do one need to do maintenance for this specific model? I'm a knob to bike, so I'm ideally looking for an easy to care ebike, and not too softly maintenance, its just for basic touring on bicycle lane and sometimes into the nature, no crazy activity, would you say this model is good for me?
Many thanks
Wil
@@sparkwilkie2577 Glad the info was helpful. Certainly, hub motors will not last anywhere as long as mid-drive motors. With the thousands of bikes, we have sold through the years the Bosch mid-drive motors are the way to go.
@@SCOOTERETTI awesome, thanks for the confirmation.
Hey, what is the range on that type of model? Thanks!
You’re looking at approximately 100km’s of range on the 1st assist level and 55-60km’s on the highest level.
@@SCOOTERETTI thanks!!! What about the 625 model?
@@louiscomhaire5979 if you go to our product page, there will be a tab where you can click on to use the Bosch Range Calculator where you can enter in different parameters and get a pretty good idea of the range. It's a very cool APP. Here's the link: scooteretti.com/products/cube-reaction-hybrid-performance-500
First full day out, I did 52 miles, used all levels as appropriate, coming home against headwind and uphill, turbo was a blessing. Checked the battery at home and still had three bars (out of total of five) so 60% energy left. I'd say that fantastic. Love the bike.
@@tristramgordon8252 Thanks for this. Was that with the 500 or 625 battery?
Are those model comes wih 12 speed cassette?
For this model year the most we have is an 11 speed Raction Hybrid like found here: scooteretti.com/collections/cube-electric-bikes/products/cube-reaction-hybrid-pro-500
We may see a 12 speed on a few models for the 2023 here in our shop.
What size this bike? Thx!
The bike in the video is the 17” with 29” wheels. The bike is available from a 13.5” up to 21”.
sorry but i think this is not a Model 2021, actually you have Gen.4 with 85 Nm Bosch Motor and 625Wh battery and the display Nyon.
There are different versions on this bike available. This is a 2021 model with the Bosch Performance Motor and 500wh PowerTube battery. This model also comes standard with the Purion.
You can’t buy this or any other bike for 6-7 months in the uk
8 hours charge time is not corrct. 3 to 4 hours is
Hello Paul the bike comes with a 2A charger which will actually take about 7 - 7.5 hours per charge. With the optional 4A charger that time would be reduced to 4.5 hours.
@@SCOOTERETTI how much are the 4 amp chargers out of interest.
Hello, here is a link to the product page on our site for pricing and availability: scooteretti.com/products/bosch-ebike-battery-charger
I hate when shops call a sales pitch a review
Sorry that you felt this was too much of a sales pitch. We’re trying to bring information to the public as best we can as so many people are having a hard time finding information on great quality electric ⚡️ bicycles.
@@SCOOTERETTI great, that's a problem I'm having too so it would be great if future videos are titled correctly. Literally just leaving out the word review would have been fine, then viewers wouldn't be expecting pros and cons, experience using the bike etc
@@SCOOTERETTI or 'overview' like the presenter says at the beginning
