I love it!! And I think the bike is very nice also. Great video about something I'd like to try in the future. The scooters still intimidate. Nice kit by the way. Happy New Year Michelle
Oh man. I just bought the 2022 Reaction Hybrid Pro and I’m so excited to get it. Two weeks is going to be sooooo long. I feel like a kid again!
I love ths video. I've already watched it 4 times. This is the first video I could find for new EMTBers who want a Cube bike. Please post video on range and how the bike performs under a variety of conditions.
Riding one of these with the 500 battery around country roads in eco, with just occasional boost to trail on the steeper hills , i get 50 miles per charge.
Great review very informative and nicely done. It helps me with my next month purchase of this bike, i was a bit worried that the geometry of the frame being an XC type will not be suitable for the type of terrain that you ride on but this kinda cleared my concerns. All the tracks around my house are like that :).
Great to hear you found the review useful!!! Are there any other videos you'd like to see us do with the Cube next?
I have the 2020 model of this bike 🚲, and it's absolutely fantastic, I'm 65 and far too heavy, I have covered 500 miles in probably six months and although I haven't lost any weight I'm certainly a lot fitter, I started out using turbo mode for the first 100-150 miles but now she's in emtb full time, the only modifications I've made is swapped out front forks for rockshox 35 gold as I didn't get on with the suntour's, had slime tubes fitted after suffering 3 punctures in 1 day, more comfortable hand grips fitted, but probably not needed now due to air spring front forks, I was worried when I bought it, I wouldn't get on with it being unfit, but I love it and look forward to going out on it, even in the uk's winter, I try to average about 15 miles when I take it out, can't wait for the summer and even longer rides.
63 and looking forward to getting this bike
61 and already bought it! The Hybrid One 625...
Awesome commentary, very informative and love your accent
Thank you for a very informative video :)
Glad it was helpful!
Ebikes have come such a long way and are going to open up all kinds of cycling to new people, it's very exciting to watch! That online range calculator is a good idea, so you can get a more accurate estimate.
They are certainly taking off in the MTB world 😀 And you're right about all the people they open up cycling for. The stories I hear of people that have gotten back onto bikes or continure to ride after injury because of them are amazing. ~Michelle
The 2020 model was my 1st ebike as well...where I ride the tubules conversion is a must as there are thorns everywhere when the farmers cut their hedges (about now). I fitted a dropper and changed the forks, pedals and bars (not all at once). My front headset bearings failed in the first 3 months so I had my lbs fit sealed cartridge bearings and have not had a problem since.
Thanks for a great video, I'd agree that it's a great bike and very capable.
Gald you enjoyed the video. Good first e-bike 😀, and sounds like some great upgrades. How are you finding your dropper post? ~Michelle
@@RidePureElectric Really makes a difference and i think safer if going down any decents. I went for the Brand X one that wasn’t too expensive and there is a tube already routed for the cable .
Hi lovely looking mountain bike looks interesting looks like fun to ride as I am thinking of getting one for myself one enjoy watching this video about the cube mountain bike useful tips about the bike rides and how it performs to while using the bike very nicely well too..👍😀
I’ve literally just got back from buying this bike, I pick it up tomorrow, Great video I shall ask about tubeless tyres when I collect it tomorrow.
Great to hear James! Best of luck with new bike.
hey loved the vid and off your recomendation got this bike, i was wondering if you knew what a good dropper post for this bike might be? thanks :)
Can you install Intuvia, Kiox or Nyon on this bike? great video!
Great review 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
great bike I have one, done 1000 miles already and is still going like fire , if you want a bike thats built to last for electrics this is the one.
Great to hear you like your Cube and thanks for the comment! Are there any other videos you'd like to see us do with the bike?
Hi great review, can I ask what country are you in as I’m in the uk and believe bikes here are down rated? Cheers in advance
Is it possible to remove the battery to charge remotely?
Also, is it possible to buy spare battery?
This bike is so underestimated! I’ve the 2020 version, changed out a few components bars , dropper, Rockshox Recon air forks for a way better experience and Continental tyres and rode some hard trails with jumps, steep hills and rocky terrain in the UK. First ebike and got me hooked ! The motor is one of the best you can get, Fantastic review.......... best yet for this model ! Enjoy
Hi Andy, thanks for the comment and for your insight. Are there any other video's you'd like to see us do with the Cube?
@@RidePureElectric hi there, would love to see what’s possible after a few changes as suggested! You’ll see what the difference is once made. It may be a Hardtail, but you’ll be surprised what you can do in bike parks and down hill riding 😊
Hi Andy, fellow Brit here 🇬🇧
I'm looking to buy my first eBike and have been out off by the recent price hike with Trek as I was looking at the Powerfly 5.
Ive come across this Cube bike as a cheaper alternative, it has the same bosch 625kwh system.
Do you have any videos of yours?
@@R0BBS Hi Matthew, unfortunately I don’t post videos but would be happy to post a few pictures of my current set up. I’ve been looking also at the 625 watt version. With subtle changes like the ones I’ve made you’ll have a wonderful Hardtail ebike. My advice would be , have a good look at selling pages such as EBay and Facebook marketplace , I kid you not I paid £900 less for my 2020 model and it was mint condition, just got lucky! There’re a few on Facebook at the moment from memory, a cracking silver one think it’s maybe large. Good luck , it’ll blow you mind , you won’t regret your purchase ......... enjoy 😊
hey man just got this bike and i was wondering what dropper post did you get because i want to add a dropper to my bike thanks
Great review of a great bike
Thanks! Are there any other videos you'd like to see us do with the Cube next?
Thank you for this vidéo 👍👍👍👍
Welcome!
Hello I just buy the 2022 , I have question , the fork is 100mm can I put fork with 150mm or I have problem with geometry? Thank you
Wha size is the bike you are riding and how tall are you? Considering what size to get
May I ask what height you are and what size model this is? I’m 5’6ft and unsure if I need a small or medium. Did you find the reach comfortable? Thanks
Hi doesn anyone know the standover height on this bike? Thanks
Great video thanks
Thanks for watching! Are there any videos you'd like to see us do with the Cube next?
@@RidePureElectric i want one. I.ve seen Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 625. Seems pretty much the same. It also has the same price
Here's out full Cube e-bike range if you want any more information. www.pureelectric.com/collections/cube-electric-bikes
@@RidePureElectric sadly i.m from romania. It.s almost impossible to find one on stock these days...i will be forced to order from abroad
It is a great bike, I drive in the top 10 with this bike in the E-segments on Strava
Great stuff!
Really loved your video. I never owned a bike before and now planning to get one. Is the Cube reaction good for city commute? My home to office is only 7miles and I want to get this bike only for home to office commute. Will it be a good choice?
Yes
Hello what size your bike?
Wife absolutely loves it
As a previous owner of an emtb hardtail my advice is save for a full suspension specially if you are a heavy rider. They say a hardtail will give you a good foundation but honestly the confidence and compliance that a full suspension gives you is much more important for a beginner. Most people who defend E hardtails are those can't afford a fs. And also bear in mind you will be investing in upgrades for your bike like better droppers, stems, ergo saddles, tyres and the list goes on so why not invest on something you will be actually keeping. You will be second guessing yourself on the tougher trails because you are on a hardtail, whereas a fs will be a lot more forgiving with your lack of skills.
Can you recommend a fs bike?
@@sidchainani2180 cube stereo ebike
thought about this and Radon ZR Team Hybrid 8.0 CX 500. Which one you prefer?
Hey Hansba ☺ So we do not stock the Radon ZR Team Hybrid 8.0 CX 500, so we unfortunately are unable to provide with recommendations to compare the two. If you would like to know more information about the specification of our Cube reaction, feel free to head to our website - or drop us an email on help@pureelectric.com
Thanks, is this available with mudguards and integrated lights?
Not this model but there are plenty of options out there to choose from that you can buy to add, which means you have the flexibility to have them on the bike when you need them and you can remove them when you don't.
If you want something more integrated then the Cube Nature Hybrid EXC 625 Allroad or the Cube Touring Hybrid One 500 or the or Cube Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 625 have them included but they aren't a MTB geometry frame.
Hope that helps ~Michelle
Which rockshox fits ??
What is the Frame size and how tall are you?
I have my Cube reaction Hybrid slt for about 8 months and have already driven 3100 km with it. Am satisfied with it. Although I do notice that my battery already has less capacity than in the beginning. In tour mode I used to be able to drive 130Km now I barely reach 90 km. Maybe the cold weather has to do with it
G;lad to hear you are enjoying your Cube. That's some good milage! The cold weather has a big effect on battery
s performance so you should see it improve when it warms up 😀 ~Michelle
@@RidePureElectric remove the battery and keep it indoors and at half charge at least when not in use for a period of time.
Keep your tyres at the right psi
Can you review a ECargobike on this channel or your other channel? Thank You and keep up the great work.

very nice
Just wondering if the extended battery is available.I have just purchased the bike
Did you buy it from tredz? I was wondering what there delivery time is like
Very sophisticated review. Good blend of mtb and hybrid. 29" wheels would give you good ground-clearance in winter mud but the higher centre of gravity means less agility and less stability. 27.5" wheel is better for anyone under 6 foot tall. Standover height is important when off-road, you don't want too much bike underneath you.
Actually from experience 27.5 tends to understeer or oversteer quite easily
29 are much more stable in curves
I own both versions
27.5 is somewhat more comfortable
But if i want to go faster in the curvers i have more trust in the 29 due to more contact with the ground
Wasn’t expecting to hear Bristol haha!
The bike is a good ebike, it's an entry level mountain bike with a battery at the end of the day,
It's a big cumbersome big to store and to move...23/25 kgs.
Can u ride it in the city
Is this good for road as well?
Hi! Thanks for the message and yes, the Cube bikes are also great for roads. Thanks, Team Pure
the joint between the battery compartment cover and the motor is a weak point that can cause problems... you always have to clean it afterwards because dust or even mud gets into the compartment and my battery was already slightly dirty... so i had to seal the joint with a label .... I would advise everyone to take it to heart before getting the pro625... in my opinion, this is a design flaw that cube doesn't want to fix after countless requests
written with translator i hope its easy to understand
btw ist a funtastic bycycle/pedelec i wont miss it !
hi,im from the phillipines, how to avail that emtb?
Hello! ☺ We would recommend that you try and contact local mountain bike retailers to see if they stock the Cube Reaction near you. If you have more queries, please feel free to contact us on help@pureelectric.com 🙌
Hello, what Size of bike are you riding? And what is your height?
This bike is a medium and I'm 168cm tall with an 81cm inseam (I have long legs / short torso). Hope that helps 😀 ~Michelle
@@RidePureElectric thank you for the info. My wife is 162 with inseam of 74 cm. Do you think a medium trapeze frame would fit her?
how much seat post do you have out? I'm only @166 cm with a ridiculous short inseam about 5 centimeters less than you. it's so hard to size without being able to test. I see a 17" trapeze available but nothing else right now and would love to it to fit.
Thank you for the review!
I have been looking at a Trek Powerfly but considering a Cube as a beginner to the eBike world.
Almost half the price too 😁
Thanks for the nice comment! The Cube comes highly recommended from Michelle. Let us know if you have anymore questions.
cool
Dropper post best thing money can buy
Hi Alex thanks for the comment. We have to agree, a dropper post is an amazing investment for your mountain biking.
Better than a suspension post? For light trails like she was riding, of course. Not black diamond, or anything like that.
btw correction: 'Entry level' is always 'subpar' by definition. Ebikes became the new 'must have' standard. Fine for me. But for that price you get two 'near premium' MTB bikes at around 11 kg weight
You could also argue against buying a projector because you could buy two good quality TVs for the same price. Pointless comparison when I want a projector, not a TV.
Not emtb. This is a great emtb, for the money. Check out 99 spokes for a comparison of components with, say, a Giant, Trek, or Cannondale.
Why would anyone need two premium MTB’s??? And why would someone considering buying an e-bike be looking at a regular MTB? Your comment is nonsense.
I will buy another one for my friend
Joe
Can I go to an Bikepark whit this bike ?
Hi Mayr3x_ We would recommend you contact your local council to make sure all is ok!
Thanks, Team Pure
Now add a pair of Ergon GA3, a better saddle and, most of all, some decent Schwalbe Nobby Nics.
Sounds perfect! 😀 ~Michelle
@@RidePureElectric I upgraded my Reaction Hybrid during the last weeks (forgot to add the CUBE all mountain pedals to the list, they are great too. They were the first part to upgrade when I bought the bike last June) and it was worth every penny, especially the Nobby Nics. The Smart Sams are simply not cutting it if you are riding outside cities.
A comparison of dropper seat post upgrades would be great by the way. ;-)
How much?
Hi Eric, thanks for the comment. There's links on pricing in the video description and you can also find the info here. www.pureelectric.com/collections/cube-electric-bikes . Hope that helps!
Just bought one for $3.2k.
Nice. But what is it with...dark frame colors. E-bikes should be neon bright! Or have reflective lettering/graphics. Bad enough riders wear dark clothing. Motor vehicle drivers cannot judge how fast that bicycle is moving, and therefore due to the dark colors, drivers are unlikely to notice when making turns. Rode an e-bike without a helmet...once. Broke a few fingers, elbow, collar bone, ribs, and saved-the-skull. Reason was a rapid stop, to avoid a driver, that didn't notice me riding a dark blue e-bike. Dark colors, are not wise for bicycles.
Had mine 3 months, the headset bearings broke after 3 weeks, which took dealer 2 weeks to repair, it’s currently back with the dealer with motor fault for another 2 weeks and they can’t tell me when it will be repaired, not great for a bike that costs over 2k, dealer not very helpful and could do with course in customer service!!
I had my bike for 8 months when the Bosch motor broke. Was 4 weeks in repairshop..
Glad i have warranty 😂
Is she a lighter rider by any chance?
the seat is way to small its not what thy tell you
Thanks for not saying Awesome
Thanks for review but you skip a couple important parts money talks and range
Hi Jim, thanks for the comment. Pricing can be tricky as it often changes throughout the year. Instead we put a link in the video description where you can find out the latest pricing on a product.
Range is affected by so many variables, so beyond stating the manufacturers claim, we tend not to go into much more detail than that. e.g. The range Michelle gets from her e-bike may be different to you for reasons such as, rider weight, temperature, ride surface, rider clothing, battery health and even how clean the drivetrain is. Hope that helps!
Did she just say a bike at this price point?😂
nice girl😘
a lot of commercial sh**t not related to real eMTB users
What's an Aluminum frame ? Is it similar to an Aluminium frame ? 😉
Ummmmmmmmmm
Well, yes. Except that it’s spelled correctly, according to Sir Davys and Webster. I was surprised by the number of “ium” elements he discovered, but he named this one without the “i”, apparently.
Lazy
full suspension is much better
They’re $7k, to start. For a horse trail/light trail bike, this is fine, IMO.
Full suspension is usually always going to be better, however also a lot more expensive.
@@StevePorritt Total cost of ownership of a hardtail is much more expensive with days off work because of bad backs. As well as chiropractor visits. I see no reason to damage my back just for saving 20% on a bike purchase
@@tomquimby8669 I can't say that's an expense I've had to pay for, as I'm not geriatric. Almost 40 and riding hardtails with no problems.
Unfortunately, this video feels like sales person speech more than a review
Don't buy this bike because you have to buy front fork cube will not replace it absolute crap
Overated overpriced junk cheap shit. Wish i'd never bought mine after the first day
