The Ki-84 Otsu is a Japanese All-Rounder | War Thunder Air RB

In today's video, I am flying out the Ki-84 Otsu, which is the one at 5.7 with 4x20mm cannons. This plane is unconventional compared to most other Japanese fighters, because it's built as an all-rounder. The Ki-84 is decent in every major metric, which means you will usually have some advantage in fights.
Keep in mind that even though it is Japanese and turns well, it isn't a Zero, and can't outturn everything. You have to play the ki-84 a bit smarter and use your speed/energy to catch people off guard.
This plane is a lot of fun, and you should try it too!

The ingame sound is over all a bit loud at times and going over your voice. Maybe you could boost your voice a little since the video in itself isnt too loud.

I like that plane a lot too, it allows for very fun dogfights (goated fowler flaps), and as you said, it's good for about everything else too.

Ki-84, faster, compresses less, and climbs a bit better, better performance at alt, and at a lower BR. N1K only turns a tiny bit better.

i mean, yeah, it works if i once get the upper hand. it is easy to keep energy, but it is really not easy to carry games in it. im spitfires, you just climb up, dive on anything below you and simply outturn it…
whilst in 109s, you need to sideclimb, find teammates that support you, extend until the enemy gets sick of it…to me, that means the german planes suffer. especially, if you do not play very very disciplined.
also it often means, you are the last oke alive, circling about the enemy, whilst the win on tickets and nobody can fight the other one directly..
