I really appreciate everyone's support and interest, as Sandman said, I'm working with outside services to get these made. They'll be able to produce a lot more than I could ever, and I'm hoping they'll be nicer. I have a fiber laser larger than a small room, plastic injection machine, metal finishers, and all of the equipment to support those in my garage, but I haven't been able to catch up with the demand this year. I never intended to be a lockpick manufacturer, but I love picking locks and making tools. Sooooo here we are.
Just a small correction. None of the profiles for the different thicknesses are exactly the same. For example, the short flat hook for 0.015", 0.18", and 0.023" are slightly different in order to produce similar displacement testing and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) results. You may not notice by sight, but you can measure the difference with a caliper. Over all, this helps the feedback feel similar between the different thicknesses.
I love supporting guys like you who work out of their garage. I'm new to lock picking but I've earned my living with tools all my life. Your tools look great, and I will haunt your site until they become available.
If you’re plugged into the community there’s really no issue in being able to get ahold of them when they go live. It’s all over discord and Reddit when he’s in stock.
With that’s said, not everyone’s online constantly so I purchased an extra set of the basic and intermediate to be able to get to a newer picker without any additional markup. They’re long gone now but I know that person appreciated it.

I have both the basic and intermediate V4 sets and love them (0.018"). Absolutely love them. Got them by waiting and jumping. People just need to get over themselves.
I do love Jimy longs. I use them all the time and like his current model. I thinks it makes them special. I just wish he had a replacement program for current owners to encourage us to use them more. Where we send him the damaged pick and he replaces it for a fee.

Hey, Sandman. I was lucky enough to get a beginner set just by checking his site daily a while back. Then I signed up for notification of the intermediate set and checked my email an hour after I was notified and bam they were gone. Oh, well, I'm a big boy. These aren't my only picks, and I don't need to be instantly gratified, and they will come around again. I can't understand what kind of man-child would get upset over your purchases unless you were scalping them. Life goes on.
BTW I'm in Germany now and got some Berg Wachter padlocks and my Wendt Lockmaster jack knife and I love it. Thanks for the recommendation!😃
Really hope to own his pick sets someday. I really appreciate the backstory and all of the education you provided. He sounds like an amazing person. still can't believe that people would get upset over that though… Honestly just ridiculous and immature.

I bought my JLs from Alan, and I love them. The rakes are missing, but have all Hooks, and I like them, and they can survive my picking style, so they are real quality stuff

My friend and I made the same deal. My internet went crazy I barely got it to go through. I love his products I hope he makes good he’s clearly put tons of effort in it.
Would like to see Jimy start producing bypass tools. On one end Peterson makes quality bypass tools that are expensive with sparrows making affordable but sometimes unusable/broken tools. Also covert instruments makes bypass tools although only sells in full kits. The market can totally benefit from affordable and quality bypass tools while also being able to buy them individually instead of having to purchase tools we’re not plan on using.
i wouldn't even acknowledge the people complaining about buying multiple sets , and i get the frustration people have with others buying to resell. but it's going to happen regardless so much wasted time and air over something people can't change
I tried to pull that one dude off the cliff but he wasn't having it. I was lucky to get the basic set and the two 15 thou sets and a basic set two weeks ago. Hey if I gotta wait, I gotta wait. You did no wrong. Love my Jimylongs. I really wish the community would help him in his manufacturing goals what ever they are. I hope one day to have them all.
When it comes to the full tang as a knife guy full tang is just stronger all the way keeps the handles from stress cracking over time.
I would love to get a set. I’m using homemade picks still. Jimy has the goods and the rep! I wish he could do a kickstarter or something to get what he needs to help with production. I’d be down to give.
I wish I could mix and match. I like flats for short and low and round for medium and gonzo.

Would love to get a set of some diamonds and flats at .018 some time soon. I’d love to support Jimy over Peterson any day of the week. Hopefully everything with mass production goes well with him and that quality and price aren’t thrown away due to it.
Is there any way we can find out the day or time he will have things back in stock? How on earth did you get these? Did you email him? If his picks are so desired he should hire someone to help him. I want a few of his picks more than any other pick in existence but every time I look at his site he’s sold out. I saw you just posted this video and I immediately went to his site hoping he was in stock but no. I’m happy you made a video giving us more information about him and also sharing the frustration everyone has of him being sold out. It makes me want to start making good picks since there’s such a high demand for good picks and so few people making good ones especially ones that don’t screw the community over with insanely high prices for just lock picks. If only every company could be like Convert Instruments. Great video as always. Thank you for giving back to the community so much.
