- Photographs have emerged showing Nazi generals, admirals and field marshals (pictured bottom) being kept at British POW camp Island Farm in Bridgend ahead of the Nuremberg trials. They included many of Hitler's key aides, such as First World War veteran Gerd von Rundstedt (pictured top being saluted by fellow prisoners), the commander-in-chief of the German Army in Western Europe, who was respected by British and German troops alike for his military service, although he was accused of committing war crimes in Ukraine. Island Farm was also the scene of the 'Forgotten Great Escape' on March 10, 1945, when 86 prisoners got out through a 70ft tunnel dug under Hut 9, the only surviving building at the site today. The collection of photographs and official documents will now go on auction and could fetch around £5,000.

We get to see the faces of the men associated with their names. It is true, there weren't any cameras allowed into the trial room the day they were giving the sentences.

All of these men had their intelligence tested to prove competence. All well above average. Some, like Goring, had IQ’s in the 140’s. Intellectually gifted men who could have become almost anything.
and they became quite literally Gods of Earth. If given the opportunity to have such power, not many can refuse.
They were no different than the leaders of any powerful nation. Most of what is taught about them is distorted propaganda. And the Nuremberg trials were actually very controversial, considered by some as nothing more than a "show trial".

The Germans did exactly what the British did to their colonies, only difference was Germans were more straightforward and ruthless unlike the cunning British who destroyed so many native peoples' across the world. The methods and ideas of the Germans were ruthless but more or less, the same was done by the other empires.
