  • External rotation of the shoulder is a great exercise for improving endurance and strength of the rotator cuff. Therabands and gym cables can act to add resistance to these movements. The following videos covers the external shoulder rotation exercise.

Thank you very much Dr. Birch I just started therapy this week doing this exact same exercise except I'm instructed to use both my arms. Your way is easier and controllable. Thank you for this video.

What are you looking for with respect to socks? Why socks are good or bad? Pros and cons? I writing a foot health video and I could add it in.

@@drdanielbirch Yes! When I have to buy new socks I never know what to care about/look for. Here are some questions that I always get when buying socks:
Which socks are healthy for our feet? Which brand makes the most healthy and comfortable socks? What do I have to consider when buying socks? What materials are the best for out feet? Do I need different socks for different activitys (e.g. running, at home, at work)? What about compression socks?
      Thank you for your videos!

@@Maxecute Hmm tough questions. Personally I dont think there is much of a difference in health perspective in socks and different styles (high or low) and fabrics. I think at the end of the day the healthiest thing is to regularly wash you socks after each use. With comfort there are tons out there. I personally like Smartwool for winter or colder weather. I also personally like Drymax for running, but that is a completely personal choice. Fabrics like wool are better than cotton in outdoor situations but this shouldn’t matter if close to home. Socks for different activities would be a cost thing for me. My running socks aren’t cheap, ~30$ a pair and my day to day white cotton are 12$ for 6 pairs. Compression socks are a completely different topic. They are very helpful in a population that struggles with swelling due to cardiovascular issues, circulation problems, injury or flying/altitude. As far as performance I’m unaware of any research that shows improvements with compression socks.
