Installed this stretch kit. Parts look nice [so did the Titanic when it left port] Was not impressed with the fit and it seemed the flex would be compromised. Finally got it together and the flex wasn't too bad. Took it for a spin and the tiny screw for the driveshaft broke. I believe this kit has been around long enough to remedy problems, guess not. Taking it apart now and throwing it all in the trash.
Yep I would have thought by now they would have fixed the tiny screw. I don’t agree with throwing the whole thing out though.
Yeah it just happened so maybe I was a bit harsh. What other driveshaft would fit I wonder? Like your video by the way.
@@turboomni848 I didn’t try a different driveshaft. I contacted Treal and they sent me a new one. Still charged shipping though which was a bummer.

How was the flex affected by the upper link not having a ball on both ends? Did you lose a lot of flex? It does make you wonder why Treal would do this. You don't want to lose flex.
It doesn't seem like I lost flex. I didn't do any before/after measuring though. The Injora, Samix, and RCAWD upper links don't have balls either on the chassis side, so I'm assuming there must be some engineering reason.

Seems like the parts had some manufacturing problems.
I think any driveshaft that doesn’t have a D-shape is going to put too much stress on those tiny little bolts. I have the replacement, we’ll see.
@@QuinnsRC I’ve used shafts like those. They also create a tone of slop in the drivetrain
