    Its amazing how soft the steering bar is stock. I also got FMS's Monster truck, which uses the same chassis setup, but they hardened and improved the steering bar, and all upper and lower links too.

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  Před rokem +3

      They seemed to have improved the servo horn on the Max Smasher as well. That's one thing I really like about FMS is that they are really good at addressing customer concerns as the product line matures.

      @@CapeCrawlers that’s definitely a great trait! I hope they release another truck based on this chassis soon. Would be interesting to see what they come up with. Heck, I’d even just take alternate body shells that pop on too

    Right on Treal is the best, I have a bunch of parts on the way from them, inner outer portal boxes. Tie rods and just ordered today the Aluminum axle housing front and back, some of the parts is for my red one and some is for my limited edition

  • @trailwomanrc
    @trailwomanrc Před 2 lety +3

    Good job! Much improved. The fender mods look smooth. I do think the treal upper links are too short and are rolling the axle which effects the steering angle as well as exposes the drive shafts. Without a time tested aftermarket, it takes a critical eye to enhance them and I really enjoy that. It's exciting to imagine how things will evolve for these trucks.

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you! Great observation on the linkage. I think there’s huge potential in this platform for sure. I would be very interested to see what a company like mofo RC, who really brings innovation, novel approaches to these little things would do to this platform.

      A year later and the aftermarket is huge, plus they seem to be about the top truck on the micro market still.

    Great mods!!! I have all of the same ones except for the wheels. I'm running black rhinos on mine. I think the single best mod are the portal covers. Helps counter that heavy body!!!🤘🤘🤘 The RCAWD links come with a ball link that goes on the shocks to give the movement back. I used the ball links from an extra set of panda shocks.

    I want a different cage for the rear found 1 online but it's 35. I tried a nice bed that hold the tire but it had to much weight and not enough material for the rear screws and cracked. Ordered the regular power wagon bed for it. Looking for better shocks. Tried a couple ones too big and can't fit the body on it. Also to stiff. The others I never tried as they jammed up so I sent them back.

    Hey, I really enjoy the videos and I had some questions. First, what did you use to cut the fenders like you did? Also i just got fcx24 a couple weeks ago. I don't have a lot of runtime on it and I noticed that the servo is twitching really bad when im not even on the remote. I was wondering if you had any ideas on what could be causing that?

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  Před rokem

      I used tin snips to cut them and sandpaper to shape them. That servo twitch seems pretty normal with the stock servos. I'm not sure if it's the servo or the esc that causes it. I am thinking the former because when I swap servos it goes away. Rampgrab makes a great budget friendly servo replacement.
