Anton meets lots and lots of passengers, on his bus and in over 20 years of bus driving, has never came across this exact situation before. 🤔
Whenever a vulnerable person boards your bus, always be on hand to assist in your professional capacity and if need be, to contact the code red facility incase someone is reported missing.

I had a similer situation once with a young lad who had compleatly missed his stop and got confussed, I made sure he got off at the stop he wanted on the way back.

I work in memory care every day. Just hope he got home okay and had the most compassionate bus driver 😊

No longer a bus driver, but I had this happen to me once in my two years of service.
Had an elderly lady not know where she was going but she tried to get off the bus despite her having no idea as to where she was. I managed to convince her to stay on the bus and once we got to the terminus (which happened to be at the bus depot luckily) we had to call the police for some assistance just to make sure she got home safe.
Turns out it's not the first time the traffic office have had to help out this particular lady, but it was my first time encountering her. I'm just glad she was looked after, would have played on my mind for the rest of my shift if I didn't help her out.

Really good video anton! That was was really kind of you to help him. I was on the bus few months ago when a lady with dementia came on the bus! And she got lost but her niece and myself helped her to stay calm

I had once situation in my 10 years of bus driving, than my passenger did know where is he and did know where is he going. I called 112 and police came to help him.

good job Anton, few months ago i was on a bus and this Elderly lady who looks about 90 was trying to get to the hospital and the Bus driver was constantly shouting at her rather than helping her.

I’ve had it two times thankfully they got off and got to where they needed to be. It’s so hard sometimes as I do different routes and all the time but thankfully there is a driver or other person who knows the stop they need.
Your knowledge of the route and other drivers knowledge helps 💯
@@DoubleDeckerAnton yep very much so but having like 34 or so different routes is a little hard to remember everything as I go between different depots.
That's the right thing to do as a bus driver! Help others when things doesn't go as planned!

I wish you drove my busses, I get five a day, have a rollator that’s about as subtle as the HMS Ark Royal and I only ring the accessible bell, but drivers continually never put the sodding ramp out. At one point, this cost £385 at the chiropractor to fix
I had one case where someone was asking me where to get a specific bus, but the route he was asking after was cross-city, and he wouldn’t specify which end he wanted. Out of fear of sending him in the wrong direction, I was completely helpless.

There was an occasion around the bus in Southbury Road between Enfield Town station and the Great Cambridge Road with a women who wanted to get to somewhere at Enfield Wash, after asking what had happened after she had got off, turned out her phone had gone dead, it was getting dark, she had a few discussions with the driver and passengers, she went on her way, could work out why she hadn’t planned her journey out in advance, young women alone, wonder whether made her connection, as was quite shocked by the conversations.
Also, I saw you driving the 35 bus when I was standing in a bus stop at Liverpool Street. Did you see me gave you a thumbs up?
