What's your favorite transformation in anime?
Gon !!!! I mean it's dark as f*ck, but goat ❤🎉😊
Personally, gohan ss2. I do think goku ss is still the more iconic one, but its just one of those scenes that created a lot personal bias for me, because i loved gohan as a character.
Berserker
Lets not forget Friezas final transformation. That felt like a punch to the gut knowing nobody had a chance. Its what set up goku‘s ss transformation perfectly. The entirety of friezas character engineers the moment, with his personality and the history of the saiyans.

As a massive one piece fan, I apologize on behalf of the one piece fandom for… one piece fan things… I appreciate that you are still keeping an open mind and reading/watching/reviewing one piece while still making videos on it. This is one of the reasons I love your channel. You always try to reduce as much bias as possible when reviewing manga and changing your content for the better. GREAT STUFF!
Same, I hate power scalers in general, I feel anime (not just shounen) as a whole are way to focused at how strong a character is or how iconic they are. In the end it’s about writing and that’s an opnion you can not change, people will like tanjiro over luffy, people will like sasuke over gyro, in the end we forgot that people like different things and that we need to respect that.
Why are you apologizing ur making us look bad
thank you. i respect you now.
i add myself on the apology on behalf of the one piece fandom...

How do you define an iconic transformation?
When you have an entire generation remembering one scene, that gives goosebumps even after 20 years of watching it
Basically Ui and ssj
@jalalbkHe's saying that Ui will be looked at the same way
@jalalbk Tell that to him
Wano was bit of a disappointment for me as it was coming out. After going through it again, it's definitely jumped up in the ranks. It's the same deal with Dressrosa, Skypiea, and Whole Cake. Where the weekly experience pulls down the enjoyment of a longer arc. The shorter arcs don't really suffer from this all too much. And Egghead has been straight fire from the very top.
i feel it's no longer too early to say egghead is one of the best arcs in one piece
@@Rosso4654facts
Egghead is like oda is now aware what are some flaws of wano
yeah, Egghead is definitely a S-tier arc
Very few arcs are great to read weekly. Impel Down and Sabaody are two really good arcs to read weekly. I would said Enies Lobby too.
super sayin is the most iconic, objectively considering toriyama made the most iconic design imaginable for the ssj and the emotional weight only adds to this, also its existed long enough to be burned into our retinas while gear 5th has only come out in the past few months
It's been well over a year already but I agree that Super sayian is probably the most iconic transformation
Objectively speaking spiky blonde hair is the most iconic design imaginable? Either you
u're using that word wrong or you aint got a good imagiation bro 😂
Super Saiyan will always be iconic cuz it changed the game and it looks incredible with a great story behind it, but design wise its just alright 😂
@@adoniscreed4031just because it's simple doesn't mean it's bad. Lots of people love gear 2 even tho it only adds little bit to the design.
@@adoniscreed4031 Mario and Sonic r the most iconic video game characters of all time as a matter of fact, Mario is the face of gaming. But Mario definitely isn't the best looking or cool character at all. I don't think any game character will replace Mario as the face of gaming.(sonic could've but sonic was never good to be a 3D game since there's a limit to how much speed there can be for a player to enjoy)
Iconic comes from the fact that it's simple that even a kid could draw it but has so much weight that it's burned into our memories and retina forever. Super Saiyan is the culmination of the entire saiyan race goku's journey and the cry for help from the entire universe just like the one piece world were sun god Nika is the final cry but from the one piece forums, Goku is just a brute with spiky hair who got power up cuz his friend died
Sure iconic, but most iconic design imaginable? Nah you are just wrong mate, it is only iconic because its one of the first, its literally just changing your hair to blonde and spiky. And you know why the hair is blonde? Its because toriyama is too lazy to color and shade the hair 😂, thats how much he value the importance of his own creation
Honestly I don't care about what will be considered more Iconic Gear 5 or Super Saiyen. Gear 5 to me just embodies the core theme of One Piece and Luffy as a character and that's freedom.
Freedom to do what you want that makes you happy, freedom to be weird and freedom to embrace the weird without having to be restricted by anything or anyone. Luffy turns into a literal looney tunes character, and I just think that's really cool. I don't care if it's more iconic or less iconic then Suer Saiyen because i don't care about things like that, I just wanna see the rubber man grab lightening and throw it at the fish/dragon because that's just really cool.
Super Saiyan*

Your opinion is objectively correct.

Hearing, as a OP fan, from other OP fans, that G5 is more iconic that Super Saiyan is baffling. It's an homage and slight nod if anything, especially considering Oda being a fan and citing inspiration from DBZ himself. G5 is amazing, but SS cannot be touched.
Truly deranged and fatherless behaviour.
As the biggest dragon ball fan i can say gear 5 is clear 😂
DBZ is wrong, Dragon Ball only. DBZ is only anime.
Not as iconic within the anime/manga communities but a guy at work found out I like One Piece recently. He told me he knew 2 things from the story: The guy who 'smokes lollipops' and Gear 5. G5's been so hyped it's managed to go beyond the anime/manga corners of the internet into the mainstream.
@@DylClips
You’re a fraud as no DB fan would dare say such a thing.
@@cryfly1
This will not be any child’s SS. And that’s Irrelevant since it put anime on the map.
I think when fandoms get hype about drops like this, they just lose their ability to create good conversation/well structured speculations. As you already said, whats the point of discussing iconic, when that variable is largely influenced by a lot of other hard to calculate variables, and requires time to build that iconic value. A more sensible thing to talk about, is how the media conversation and hype around the episode, easily makes it the largest most heavily talked about anime episode drop, in history; at the very least, you can argue about that, because it sure feels that way, and is something we will see soon enough.
Joy boy was introduced years ago in the manga. Oda did not plan for it to appear in the anime on Aug 6. That means he didn’t choose the name joy boy to replace little boy.
The whole "which is more iconic" discussion sounds a lot like the "Who deserves to be in the Big 3?" shitshow we had not so long ago and its tiring to see people fight over this shit
As a One Piece fan I don't compare it with others because It's not the same world & there's nothing I'll gain from doing so, I love anime and watch it because it is a wonderful piece of art. So thanks for appreciating One Piece without bias or prejudice and for making this video. 👍🏻👍🏻
Super Saiyen is simply the most iconic because it inspired future such stuff. If its was not good then non of the stuff we have now would be as cool.
The two most iconic transformations in all of anime and manga are Sailor Moon's and Goku's. One Piece has made several references to both so in a sense in standing on the shoulders of those giants. But you have to remember that there are also way more anime and manga fans across the globe these days, and in twenty years South Americans might be painting Luffy on restaurant walls the same way they paint Goku and Asuka, but its way too early to tell.
Gear 5 works sooo well in capturing the meta narrative beats and themes of one piece and what one piece is about. I really like how unique it is in not being the over used rage moment carbon copy of dbz I've seen in far too many anime, how it's not over powered or unearned & that luffy still got his shit rocked in ch 1045-1048. it's such genius story writing that feels so natural and well crafted through the story.
“Iconic transformations. You have the werewolf….I guess”
-masked man 2023🫡
I think it's a matter of time to determine if this is as or more iconic of a transformation than SSJ. If you think about it, SSJ introduced the concept of transformations to anime, but all the copies that followed are transformations based on ANGER. This is the first transformation to be based on any other emotion, in this case joy. So if in the future we start to see a trend were transformation are based on different emotions other than anger, then we could attribute that to Gear 5 being the second coming of SSJ
Ban-kai is the most iconic transformation. The word the delivery the sense of shit is about to go down. It doesn't get more iconic
super saiyan and the pokemon evolution transition gotta be the most iconic, but i can see other anime from now have comedy moments of a character laughing with the drums melody
I feel like that’s a fair assessment. Like you said I really can’t think of any transformation as narratively impactful and meaningful to the story and luffy as a character as gear 5. That being said, ain’t no way it’s more iconic than super sayian, it’ll be a long ass time before something reaches the level of cultural influence and notoriety it has.
Honestly the most iconic transformation in media is probably the hulk transformation.
Never heard of it.
The amount of times I’ve gotten angry on purpose to see if I could turn green and grow bigger is insane.
@@GeoLagann same I remember owning the giant hulk fists and just flailing everywhere
Fair lol
@@kawaki-san6052 are you living under the rock
This all Geos fault. and to chime in for the most iconic transformation outside of just anime id have to say the Hulk easily takes it.
hulk is a solid one
It all started with the red roc tweet
I would say griffith into femto is pretty iconic its just super dark so people dont really talk about it
Y’all say all this stuff about fandoms, but I never see it. It’s probably because I don’t have Twitter or TikTok but still 💀
Every fandom has people with wild and extreme takes
I wouldn't take people who say G5 is more iconic than super Saiyan seriously
personally I haven't heard anyone say it but if I did I'd just consider it an extreme take
It wouldn't be fair to paint the entire one piece fandom as toxic fanatics just for a couple wild takes
If anything the one piece fans are the most critical of one piece as far as I know and as a one piece fan I'm always critical of it's shortcomings, people turn on oda every new chapter than praise him a week later
of course some love it blindly but honestly what fandom doesn't have all these types of fans
I get it when those fans attack you they're all you can see but one piece has millions of fans and some of them have controversial opinions focusing on those fans just seems silly to me it's like you want to hear or argue about bullshit, it's like those street interviews choosing just the dumbest ones to air and making all Americans seem stupid and uneducated
G5 is great but no where as iconic as super Saiyan most one piece fans would agree with this
Breaking the Internet in 2 days
I'm sure the anime community will be talking about this episode for the next 10 years at least.

I love the concept of gear 5, I love the power. I hate how earlier people want Luffy transformation to be edgy like all black hakiman or something. I also don't like the writing how luffy get the gear 5. Evenntho ,Onepiece can get a pass in making World government look dumb and not really as smart as I expect. For example from fishman to wano its about 2 month (2 full moon) so Government isn't really expect Luffy to fully awaken his fruit in that time frame. Sound dumb but that how Luffy can go under the radar in pretimeskip, he is in the middle of bigger shit that WG concern more ( Whitebeard war and Warlord abolishment).
At the end of the day if we talk about Iconic, Super saiyan is 100% more iconic. However, I don't really know what you can different iconic or popular. I know about Ultra instant even I haven't read dragon since Z. Is that popular or Iconic?. Im sure Gear 5 will be popular even for somebody who never watch one-piece but Dragonball is not just have iconic transformation but the whole series is iconic ( in both western and eastern , I live in eastern country). I would say Gear 5 will be as popular as Naruto ninetail form for where I live.
Wano is Top 10 because of Yasuie, Gol roger flashback, and battle of onigashima. I would argru as a villain he better than Roblucci in Enieslobby where it is my forvorite arc ever. Since I love when Villian fight smiling.
Verbatim, my opinion on gear 5th. Not so much a fan of the buildup but I love the power and design of it
No having a sudden super edgy/angry transformation would also be weird. Portions of fans think going to the other extreme with the three stooges goofy goober whacky zany gag character antics is too much. Either extreme is not good. We need for one piece to return to normal levels of comedy.
The one piece is real
From a writing standpoint: Gon's adult form. Naruto's kcm and ichigo's final GT. Even crown clown from d gray man, nadeko's Medusa form and madoka/homura's transformations. Iconic goes to Super Saiyan hands down.. So it's kinda stuck between iconic and masterfully written (it's both) but it's not a clear winner in any category so fans try to push on each side to prove how good it is but you don't need to force it down everyone's throat lol
Iconic is a word I heard thrown out a lot surrounding Gear 5, and as a manga reader, I agreed… sort of… it’s a power-up and transformation that will be remembered for a long time. But what I’m curious to see is how it affects Shonen power-ups/transformations moving forward, just like Super Seiyan inspired multiple generations of Shonen Animanga, I think Gear 5 breaks the mold that DB shaped. Gear 5 is almost like an emotional mirror to Shonen power ups, and I think it opens the door for alot of mangaka to no longer have this pressure of seriousness, feeling like they have to do something a certain way because Dragon Ball did it. I don’t know if it’s fair to say that Gear 5 is more iconic than Super Seiyan, but I could very easily see it having a similar effect on the industry.
gandalf the white is pretty iconic transformation
have you seen bleach tybw anime and how much new content they've added?
The Drums of Liberation have started, we are about to witness history soon
I have been watching since this was a almost anime only channel😂😂 the masked man with like 7k subs
I agree on your take on Gear 5 and Super Saiyan transformation, any videos on the your thoughts on One Piece Final Saga so far
didn't expect this video coming from you
As a one piece fan super saiyan takes the cake here, it ain’t close
I have been reading One Piece manga since 2006, no other manga came close to the world Oda has created. But I have to admit when I first saw Goku transform into Super Saiyan is the best transformation I ever saw in Anime, I can't explain the emotion I felt at that time.
I mean you probably also have the Henshin from Kamen Rider, which is possibly more iconic than Super Saiyan in its native Japan, even though it’s a live action show. But since it didn’t get big overseas it’s really hard to call it iconic in general, although where do you draw the line? Iconic overseas or iconic in the home country of both? Maybe Super Saiyan is more iconic in Japan. We can’t really tell.
Its deffinately not the most iconic transformation but it deffinately is one of the best narritive wise. The whole theme of liberty and achieving ones goals is what luffys character is all about and gear 5 offering him even more freedom to fight as he pleases is absolutely amazing
I think the Adult Gon transformation from a narrative perspective is up there too
I have never touched dragon ball once and will not, but I can't say there's a transformation more iconic than super saiyan in media.
If you do try it, just read the manga.
Best version of the Dragon Ball story tbh.
I'm a One Piece fan myself, but the fandom is just so unbearable. They're so unabashedly condescending, they literally are the embodiment of "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one" line, but in a more bias and delusional sense
It's just Twitter I mean X stuff.
this one of the reasons why i never participate in subreddit discussions or twitter for that matter for one piece , they literally go so dogshit insane over dimunitive stuff its crazy
i legit only seen those in twitter, i didnt even know about all those iconic bs until i saw some of the people in twitter lmao
Facts, especially looking through these replies
tbf gojo is also very delusional and not worthy of that quote
question: Have you caught up to the manga? the current arc is so good
Hulks transformation might be considered more iconic than super saiyan
ssj or sailor moon is the most iconic transformation.
Wano is still a Top 5 arc for me personally and the highs overcome the lows too
Even from a writing standpoint, I honestly think I slightly prefer gon’s adult transformation over gear 5, as great as both are
Why so?
@@MoriohAnime the way it perfected and finalised gon’s entire character arc, while also reflecting the core themes of the chimera ant arc was so good. The moment as a whole also felt so grand and special for me
I didn't really care for adult gon. It was cool, but felt unearned to me.
@@RaonakDMbecause you don't understand the nen system. Also WHY would you want to earn sacrificing your own life for killing 1 person?
@@thebuddah1253 it felt unearned because gon barely even knew kite. The emotional investment that gon had felt mismatched. Like if it was killua who died, that would've made sense. And imo it undetermined all his training and development because he could only win through this one-off powerup. I guess it's meant to intentionally feel like a sad victory. But yeah it was a bummer to me.
I still got a lot to catch up on one piece
Still waiting for gear Reverse XD
Such a fun groundbreaking transformation. Been waiting for it to be adapted for a year and excited to see how Toei tackle it.
No doubt it will be iconic in the long run for going against most shounen tropes but I’d have to apply common sense and general awareness and recognise SSJ as the most iconic in its medium. Only thing that I can think that comes close in pop culture is Jekyll/Hyde
I think the reason why gear 5 won't nearly be as iconic as the original ssj (or ultra instinct) is because it was spoiled to death over a year ago when the manga chapter dropped. There were already hundreds, if not thousands of tik toks, thousands of gear 5 pfps, Oda even spoiled it in the one piece red movie, my sister even got spoiled for it via the news. SSJ and ultra instinct were more discrete. Yes, SSJ was mentioned as something existing in the series, but it wasn't ran to the ground by the fans over a year before the release date. It will be iconic but nowhere near as iconic as ssj/UI.
That's mostly because dragon ball's fanbase is usually mostly in the anime while for one piece it's like mostly manga fans. It the fact that the transformation has so much hype despite the spoilers shows me that it has the potential to be more iconic than UI but definitely not SSJ
Well the One Piece fandom is most manga fans, especially the ones that are caught up.
@@Whoisyou123depends if we are talking about the west or Japan. The west, yes, but the manga is more iconic and popular in Japan. Which makes sense considering how good the manga is.

Anime websites are probably gonna shake like earthquake. 3 days left
It's up to the future with gear 5. We have to see if this transformation inspires other future mangaka to subvert the power up trope. With Luffy it fits cause one piece has always been goofy and luffy's fighting style is ridiculous.
I will say this though it's definitely one of the most iconic moments in the franchise

Neat
This whole gear 5 vs super saiyan started from a bait tweet 😭😭
Even writing wise I don't agree Gear 5 is as good or better than some Bleach, Naruto, DBZ transformations... like SSJ1, VL Ichigo, KCM Naruto, etc.
I love the idea of Gear 5, its thematic and how it ties perfectly into Luffy as a character (it really embodies "freedom" well), I also love the design (one of the few designs in OP I actually like personally - Snake Man being my nr 2).
However, I got a problem with how G5 was introduced. I know it's not the first (nor second) time Luffy loses multiple times in a fight, only to later pull a rabbit out of his ass with a new power up, but it has happened again and nobody ever gives Oda any flack for this, like they do other authors...
Gear 5 had little to no foreshadowing and now it's just retroactively being retconned into the story. (hence the backlash the form got not long ago, before all the anime hype made people forget about that)
In Naruto's case f.e., his KCM form was built up for a long time, but if you wanna be conservative, you can say AT LEAST since the war arc started.
In Bleach's case, VL Ichigo f.e., was set up all the way back to before the SS arc even started, but again, if you wanna be conservative, it was blatantly foreshadowed ever since White told Ichigo that if he lost, he'd take over - during his training with the Vizoreds.
And I suppose how cool a design is has some degree of subjectivity to it, but I wouldn't put Gear 5 in my top 10 transformation designs.
And nothing will ever beat Super Saiyan in terms of being iconic ofc, people should give up trying to force G5 to be iconic. If it happens, it happens, if not, then it is what it is.
The way I look at gear 5 is as if you had a character who's power is to use a kitchen knife, then he jumped to a dagger, then a sword, then a longsword with full armor, but the final form is using a sniper rifle because the power of the character was not really about sharp weapons but guns and all the previous parts were technically guns but not used correctly.
I genuinely despise the Zoan twist, it makes no sense and Oda basically turned Luffy into a god so now all the tension is completely gone from his side of the story.
@@wumbojetThe zoan twist makes sense cause of the inspiration of luffys character and also the main "hero" joyboy being viewed as a god that people wish to during times of oppression. Now for a normal ass paramica fruit to be a fruit of a god just doesn't add up.We haven't learned enough abt devil fruits to even know the full story
The foreshadowing for G5 was interlinked with the themes of luffys character and wasn't asspulled also we have instances when we oda teasing us with full on G5.Now tell how could g5 been pulled of better?
@@diellberisha6112 Huh? When was Gear 5 ever teased before? Both the Sun God Nika and Joyboy stuff were revealed in 1044, the exact same chapter Gear 5 happened...

The most iconic transformation is when a Pokemon evolves
On top of my head the one transformation that is better written then Gear 5 is the Gon's in the Chimera Ant arc
Y'know... I really missed the double Temu/Tiktok ads.
Crazy video.....
Ill just get this out of my heart... Gear 5 is amazing.. it is handcrafted by Oda Sensei to show the desire of freedom Luffy carries in his heart and shows in his principles. It is written as a masterpiece. BUT. But, no matter what you say, no matter how you feel, it will never surpass the inspiration that Dragon Ball was to every one around the globe, before.. it went all bonkers and all about POWER from the Majin Buu saga. Iconic is a word used for historic elements. Super Saiyan has a special place in all our hearts and there are no true anime/manga fans, who truly hate Super Saiyans 1 and 2. Gear 5.. simply does not have that. Oda sensei himself derives his inspiration from DB. I think that should say a lot about DB as an inspiration to all.
Grete coment, i agree on all. All animes just teke inspiration not only one piece naruto and bleach also new gen jjk fairy taill black clover. Even db teke inspiration on super men comics or sagas.
in my opinion its the 2nd best transformation after adult gon
I find it Kinda Funny and annoying how we can’t have much suprises for anime like one piece thanks to some manga readers.
I mean the moment I opened my phone on social media I kept seeing gear 5 everywhere.
Then read it... the anime STILL isn't that good anyway. It's still paced like traffic in New York.

Why I thought he was about to talk about Gears Of War video game
it also has been seen from a generational point of view. super saiyajin when it dropped wasnt nearly as hyped up as gear5 was(of course it was hype in japan but it wasnt an instant WW phenomenon). it became iconic over time in the west through the DBZ anime. it turned into popculture icon over time. people who grew up with it made it as iconic as it is now.
One Piece gear5 had a bigger "instant impact" thanks to our social media and internet age tho. i mean the gear5 chapter was the first(and until now ONLY) manga chapter of ANY manga ever trending Worldwide #1 on twitter! its true impact can only be guessed from today and how people who grow up with it now will carry it to the future.
As for now, SSJ is the most iconic ever of course.. and even if Gear5 will become more iconic, the SSJ will always be the one that truely paved the way.
Jujutsu kaisen manga spoilers alert!!!!!!!!!!
Bruh gojo getting unsealed was trending at worldwide #1 too 💀
Super Saiyan is definitely more iconic. However, I would argue that in terms of fitting the themes of the series Gear 5 is the perfect transformation.
One word BAN-KAI
Finally, someone said it right.
Can't wait to see gear5 mess up servers like ui goku did 🤣
Imo, Gear 5 is this generations Super Sayian. Thats the only reason people are saying its more iconic, because SS has been a thing for a fuckton of this generations lives and Gear 5 is new. If Super Saiyan and Gear 5 happened at the same time, then itd be a toss up, but this will be an argument for the rest of time because theyre 2 things from 2 different generations of Anime/Manga
I love both og Dbz and one piece but i just like gear 5 better it also has better writing to it.
The most iconic transformation is Darth vader
👌
Such a reasonable dude 🎉
As an absolute insane one piece fanboy, Super Saiyan is still the most iconic. Gear 5 wouldn’t fly without super saiyan walking. Both are distinct and Gear 5 will go down as iconic itself, but super saiyan was the first and handled it masterfully. The legacy of children screaming trying to go super saiyan will remain unbeaten. That being said, Gear 5 has become the greatest in modern times, and arguably since DBZ. Gear 5 generated tons of insane hype, more than other anime, hell arguably even more than modern dragon ball. Even with its legacy, it was still inspired and paid tribute to the impact of the original super saiyan transformation.
TL;DR gear 5 is ONE of the greatest, but the original Super saiyan will remain THE greatest.
As a One Piece fan
I think it’s POSSIBLE but not at all GUARANTEED that it CAN surpass Super Saiyan
I’m so happy that you genuinely tried to have that conversation cause it can be interesting. The comparison with Lebron and MJ(or Taylor Swift and MJ) is very similar to what I have been saying. The thing that determines it for me is if we can clearly see a “passing of the torch” from the originator to its successor. One Piece and Dragon ball fit that description to a T. Maybe for US in America it will never surpass super Saiyan, but I definitely think it’s fair to say that in Japan it definitely already has(Gear 5 mowed into a field, what a try hard).
The 2 comparisons I want to draw are Superman and Spider-Man, and by extension Spider-Man 2 and Into/Across the Spider-verse. Superman was the first superhero but Spider-Man is arguably the best and more iconic. Superman has more sales than Spider-Man, but if you think of New York and think of a hero you think “Big Apple, Apple Red, Red Spider, Spider-Man” like that one game show “chain reaction”. Superman is the first but Stan Lee happened to see a fly on his wall and now we have people arguing about which Spider-Man movie was better, not which movie was better “Spider-Man or Superman”. I personally think Spider-Man, and superhero’s in general, are made for animation and the Spider-verse movies literally pushed animation past its limits(like what we currently expect of gear 5, when you jump from an average of 80k per episode to 1 mil, you gain higher expectations), whereas Spider-Man 1 was one of the first superhero movies, and one of the first to do it right. It’s purely based on how much the boundaries of the medium it’s in gets pushed and the wave of impact that follows. I get pissed when people say it’s already better without first explaining why it’s going to be great cause it hasn’t come out yet. I’m 1089% percent confident that it will not flop, but if it does that makes y’all(Geoaw) look like y’all trying to mimic Luffy, which is quite ironic in the context of this conversation.
It's not possible.
I don’t know you can say it’s more iconic in Japan yet. We have to see if it has staying power and lasts beyond the end of the series.
One piece fans love tip fr

YOOO WTF GEAR 5 WAS ANIMATED???? I'm a manga reader and not very active in any type of social media so i had no idea about this
What about gon transformation in hunter x hunter during the ant arc ( I forgot the name please do grill too I love hunter x hunter)?
Super Saiyan will probably never be beat in terms of being iconic for the simple fact that the mainstream masses who don't really watch or care about anime know of it. Some random transformation in a billion volume long series will never have that mainstream culturally knowledge.
Honestly magical girl transformation are kind of a guilty pleasure of my.🐱
One Piece and Dragon Ball are the bible of the manga world.
Hi masked! Love to hear your opinions as always but I noticed than you’ve been including more and more low quality gif memes lately and just as feedback I personally don’t like this new style. No hate or anything ofc I’m just a much bigger fan of the editing style you used before this.
Gear 5 is Great and I'm hyped af but Super Saiyan is just on another level
Please don't compare, just enjoy Gear 5
I've actuelly seen more people pissed about people saying it's more iconic than super sayian. Then I have seen people saying it's more iconic. But whatever, I've always thought the Frieza saga was overhyped a touch (which I know just caused people to stop reading my comment) but that's just my opinion. And that's all it is. Opinions. To some this is there super saiyan. To others, this is just another anime transformation. But you've never really cared for one piece. So this video needed to be made. Right?
To me this is the equivalent to when people say "demon slayer is better than chaisaw man". But I get it. You do make a good argument. Plus we all need to vent every once and awhile.
The thing with iconicness is that the era influences it heavily. Eventually the people who think ssj is the most iconic will die out and it the title of most iconic would fall onto gear 5 because it is more recent.
We are already in a generation where youngsters have no idea how to pronounce Kamehameha (the most iconic Dragonball attack) while it's being promoted as a Fortnite campaign. There's an odd disconnect between the people in online forums debating and actual people outside.
Kids nowadays don't even remember Naruto and that was a generation after DB GT. I think these conversations in general are just whack. Enjoy your mediums and wait for what the kids actually carry on to adulthood.
Maybe in 10 years they'll think Demon Slayer is the most iconic anime ever or something in JJK will be seen as the most iconic moment in anime ever.
Bro said "die out" ☠️☠️
Well Western anime fans don't really have a reverence for classics like they do for films. They usually just consider what they grew up with as "classic" and ignore everything before that
