    Disney Dreamlight Valley: If you divide the cost by the hundreds (thousands) of hours of fun, it is not expensive. I paid $70 for the ultimate edition long ago and it has been worth every penny. I am not going to talk about the moonstones cash I have spent! The story line at the end of the first chapter was very special.

    I've played tons of Dreamlight Valley, and so had my sister. We move over from Animal Crossing New Horizons. After 2 and a half years, we are still getting more content, now story, and more characters. We are having a great time.

    DDV has so much to do - all the characters have quests, there's hidden caves to explore, you can design to your hearts content,there's the starpath(battlepass), plus farming, fishing,etc. I've been playing for over a year and we are still getting updates. Super worth the money

    I bought the ultimate DDV package and haven’t spent any $ since and I have everything in the game. The dreamsnap challenges are really such an innovative idea to keep you coming back to earn those moonstones every week. And with them you should be able to buy what you want, if you want.
    But you also don’t NEED to buy everything in game either. No story content is behind a paywall. I def think it’s worth it!
    Have you played Cult of the Lamb? I know it’s not new but I’m hooked!

    For DDV if you are wanting it for the decorating gameplay do not get it for older consoles (switch, Xbox one, etc) there is an item limit of 3k and you will not be able to decorate the whole valley with it. Newer consoles and PC get 6k. I played it since release on switch and just switched to PC because of the limitations for decorating. Other than that it does run pretty good but does just depend on how your switch handles running it. Mine (ACNH version) played it well with minimal crashing

      @@Tazerboy_10 I can see how it would be abbreviated that way also. Dreamlight is one word in the title so that’s why I use DDV

    I bought Endless Ocean and can agree, the story isn’t it BUT it is a good mindless/relaxing game! I played recently on a work flight and the time honestly FLEW by.
    ETA: I think your DDV review is really fair. I own it and will play obsessively for a bit and then forget it for weeks but I do enjoy again when I pick it back up. For the price tag, I’d want to see a little less “sameness” across the worlds and quests.

    Hi Pat, thanks for your reviews of these games. The only one I’ve played is Sticky Business (on the back of you live streaming it) and I do agree it’s a great game. A game I’m also interested in is Little Kitty, Big City. I mean any game that is feline themed is a win to me ☺️

    Disney Dreamlight Valley is worth every penny. Obviously if you can get it on sale do that, but DLV is the best cozy game I’ve played since ACNH. I may even venture to say it is better because there is more real estate in this game and it is consistently being updated. If you love cozy and you love Disney, this one is a must have.

    I am still not getting the hype for Endless Ocean Luminous. I am sure, I am not alone in hating diving in games. I get why people enjoy subnautica because there is exploration, survival, building and story. But with Endless Ocean, I just see people swim and fish... I don't get it. But I also did not enjoy ABZÛ so might just be me hating diving and being completely uninterested in fish knowledge.
    As for Disney Dreamlight Valley. I originally had a lot of fun with that game. I like decorating, hording items and fetch quests, which is the gameplay of this game. I enjoy disney and it was fun to see all these characters I like and love. But I don't do well with FOMO and this game is build to be a free-to-play game, which they decided to go back on, and at the same time they released DLC with characters whom should not have been locked behind DLC. Since their counter parts where in the main game. So you will have to do a quests for Wall-E, where the main point is getting ready for Eva to come. But she will never come if you don't buy the DLC.
    I think people should be careful about getting into Dreamlight valley. It is no longer labeled as early-access, but it is not a finished game. There are roadmaps for future characters to come. Which means that they could one day decided that they are not earning enough on the game and then just stop updating it. It is a pretty simple game, which makes sense for an early-access free-to-play game, but for a full game, it is a bit lacking in what you can do after you have maxed out your friendships, done the quest and earned enough money. If you like decorating, then get it on PC, because a decorated game on switch, makes it a slllllooooowwwww switch. Performance also takes a hit every time there is a new update.
    But if you are okay with that, then go ahead and have fun.

    I really love Sticky business, I think it has re playability too because you can create different stickers and they will probably add more sticker packs in the future. Its super chill too, downside is my game isn’t working anymore, after day 17 or 18 it stops giving you hearts meaning you can’t buy anything else. I reached out to the devs on Twitter and they said they’re going to look into it and try and fix it. Idk if anyone else game is still working.

As a Mom of 2 little ones it’s super easy for me to pick up and put down when I need too. Also, Sky: Children of The Light has been another cozy game that I have found to be pretty enjoyable. Okay, I played through Peach Showtime in its entirety: meaning, I took the time to 100% the game. Uh, I HATED Showtime. It was wayyy too easy of a game, and what Nintendo was trying to pass off as "post game content" was just three collectibles you go back and get in every level. The game I feel was more geared towards children more so than a broad audience. Like, idk why they couldn't have given us difficulty levels to the game (Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard).
    Also, never thought I'd hear the day where Pat would tell someone to remotely get DDV.

    Avoid Whisker Waters at all cost for the Nintendo switch. I could get over the graphical hit if the framerate was solid but the framerate is terrible. If a patch makes the framerate better then I would give it another shot.

    I played 15 hours of DDV when it first released as early access on Switch, and I couldn’t get into it because of the money grind and game crashes. I picked it back up when you did your DDV stream and I have been OBSESSED ever since. I switched to my husband’s Xbox, that was basically a large paperweight since he switched to PC 😂, because I’m a decorator at heart and couldn’t bear the thought of having HALF the item limit on switch. I’m over 100 hours in and have barely scratched the surface on storyline, questing, and decorating. It’s worth the $40 and then some in my opinion ☺️

    • @rebeccab5971
      @rebeccab5971 Před 12 dny

      Please can someone explain the item limit on DDV? I have the cozy edition that I play on the switch but have no idea about the decoration issue? Although to be fair I haven’t done much decorating as I’m not very creative and am hooked on the quests! lol

    • @phoebeshea90
      @phoebeshea90 Před 12 dny

      @@rebeccab5971I’d be happy to! So on the Switch version of DDV, you can have a total of 3,000 items across your valley. What constitutes as an item is pretty much anything on the ground in your game. This includes each individual flower, dig spot, furniture piece, dropped rock, shrubs, trees, etc. It adds up quite quickly.
      Because the switch is a less powerful system, they’ve limited the items to 3,000 total. Compared to higher powered systems, such as Xbox series X, PS5, and PCs, which have an item limit of 6,000. So basically you can have a more decorated valley on more powerful systems, that’s all. ☺️

    Eh, most of the games are skips for me...
    I've played DDLV, but I wish there was combat like SDV; The game is kind of grinding out resources for quests...
    ⬆️ - Leveling the characters are easy; If you have everyone has a fishing buddy...
    Princess Peach Showtime is skip for me because it seems aimed at younger kids...
    ⬆- With me being older and played many video games with QoL; This game lacks that...
    ⬆- I would want to collect all of the 10 collectibles in each level, but ONLY have to pick which a part of the level to replay, then leave promptly, with progress saved; Not having to complete the entire level again to save your progress...
    Plus, I thought Princess Peach would play like Ape Escape 3; That you could change/morph into any costumes at any given time, but the player can only play as whichever costume is designated for any given level...

But with dreamlight valley don't get me started on that hot mess of a garbage game, they are only wanting your money and everything is so expensive it's ridiculous with how much of a money grab that game is, with me personally I say pass on dreamlight valley it's not worth it especially if you don't have the money to spend, find another relaxing game to play that's free
