    Best thing I saw regarding the two: Belichick is responsible for Brady's immediate success; Brady is resposible for Bill's continued success. Take that as you will.

      ***** The only Superbowl you could clearly win with another QB is 2001. Both 2003 and 2004 you would need Brady, or another elite QB of his caliber.

      Here's how I take it. Belichick is responsible for making Brady a good QB, while Brady is responsible for being able to play and improve to what he is today

      Relax man. You guys had plenty of chances to win that game even after the tuck rule play. You still had the lead and you had overtime to win that game. I agree it was a bad call. But you still had a chance to win the game. And that one play didn't destroy your franchise you still went to the superbowl in 02' so quit exaggerating. Brady and bellichick are 2 of the greatest ever of head coach and quarterback duo. And if they cheat in everything how come they're superbowls weren't taken away. Also you have a young up and coming team to root for so I don't get all the hostility.

    Been saying it, if you watch the Pats win a game without Brady and think its a knock on Brady is the same as seeing it snow and saying it disproves Global Warming. It's an ignorant argument.

      Joseph Vincent they didn't just win one game though, they've won fourteen and lost only five,
      With scrub qb's which is what Brady was as a seventh or sixth round draft pick who almost never got drafted. Bellicheck is 6-0 with rookie qb's going back to Cleveland. Not saying we should discredit Brady but there something to be said about the patriots system losing many staple players and still being able to win and win dominantly. It's not ignorant to say that maybe Brady ain't the player he his if he played with as many coaches and teams as Peyton but agree to disagree.

    • @moritzpbbarvencik

      Look at the season before Tom became a starter; The patriots were 5-11. Then in the 2001 season they played their first 2 games without brady and lost. Then Tom came in and won 11 out of 14 and carried them to the superbowl. Then he gave them 2 more superbowls in 2004 and 2005. And the season where he was injured its the only season where they didnt make the playoffs.

    I believe that Belichick is just as important to Brady as Brady is to Belichick; neither is more important than the other. If Belichick had an average Quarterback, my bet is he would go 11-5 and maybe win a playoff game or two with that Quarterback. Likewise, if Tom Brady left Belichick and New England, and joined another team with an average roster and Head Coach, I believe he also would go somewhere in the region of 11-5 with one or two playoff wins. However, when Brady and Belichick are together, they can win up to 13-14 games and go on to win the Super Bowl. Whilst they both may not like to admit it, both need each other to win championships.

      @VargoProductions Před 7 lety +9

      Their O-Line is fire. The whole time Garoppolo(sp?) and Brissett were in the pocket, I was thinking, "Is anyone going to hit them?"

    • @Fish4Man61
      @Fish4Man61 Před 7 lety

      Brady throws the ball, but he simply cannot play the game all by himself. He needs players, and the players get there with much more say from the coach. If the coach was bad, and got players not necessarily matching up, bad calls, bad defenses, etc - Brady would not get there. Yes, sometimes when one thing is lacking (like the 2011 defense), others can step up, but the compilation of issues every given year is the total issue. Of which, Brady and the QB has an important say, but not close to the majority say.
      So, yes - Belicheck is far more important. That said, having a QB like Brady lets you open up your playback much easier, grants stability to focus on others. So Brady would never have made it without good coaches, and while Bel could have made it without Brady, it was easier for him with him.
      So, 70% to 30% Belicheck is favored in this argument.

    • @ATLKing404
      @ATLKing404 Před 7 lety

      So was Peyton Manning's. Joe Montana had a good O Line as well so what is your point? Isn't that what they are supposed to do. Brady makes everyone around him better. Also, are we just going to forget about the Belichick years in Cleveland and his first 18 games in NE? BB had 1 winning season in his first 6 years as a head coach and started off 2001 with an 0-2 record. BB was on the verge of being fired from NE when TB became the starter. He saved Belichick's job and his career. No system QB is going to do that.

    yesterday he said Tom Brady is the system and that due to his influence on backups that they proceed to do well. Now it's the very same Brady that saved Belichick? None of that makes sense. Brady doesn't call his own plays. Brady isn't known for making audibles. Brady isn't the entire offense, he's just another part of puzzle. A big part for sure, but let's not act like he's alone out there.

    • @CoDWiiPS3Gameplay
      @CoDWiiPS3Gameplay Před 7 lety +6

      Brady actually calls a lot of audibles lol, the man can read defenses like nobody else, besides Peyton. In 2013 Brady was the sole reason Pats went 12-4 instead of 9-7. He's much more important than you think

    • @danielyankun3605
      @danielyankun3605 Před 7 lety +4

      He does make audibles, he does call plays pretty often, and he is the sole reason the Pats aren't like the Jets. Really without him they would have no Superbowls, and would be like 6-10 every year. I love the Pats and Jimmy GaropaGOAT and Jacoby Brissett have done well. But they aren't close to the level of Brady

    • @gabrielcarrasco8414
      @gabrielcarrasco8414 Před 7 lety

      I think there is a middle ground between both your comments. Brady is still great, regardless of what people want to say. However, he may not be as great as some people say he is. Belichek is 13-5 I believe without Brady. It shows that there is a perfect system in place that allows the Pats to continue winning without Brady. Brady is about 50/50 of what the Pats do. Brady happens to be a great QB in an even better system and an even better organization. It's proven that the Pats can win without him. Now as far as Brady not audibling I call BS. He does it and does it often.

      passing is not the only thing they do well. BB over produces with the talent he accumulates in every aspect of football. in a players league, injuries and lack of talent are never an issue for his top notch coaching.

All of those comebacks that Brady has had in the regular season, post season, or Super Bowl to save the Patriots were most all led by Brady saving the day. Skip was pointing out the luckiest play on the super bowl (the helmet catch) then Shannon points out what if Vinatieri missed those 2 kicks. Those kicks made weren't luck. Adam Vinatieri wouldn't miss those kicks. It had a high percentage of success. Vinatieri would make it 7 out of 10 give or take.

      Vinatieri was 24-24 in domes before that SB kick, which was in a dome. In the second SB, Vinatieri cost them points by missing two FG under 35 yards. Made the last, sure, but he had a very bad night that game.

    The pats are now 2-0 v teams that were projected to either make the superbowl or make super deep playoff runs WITHOUT Brady. Obv tom brady is a big part of NE's success, but bradys suspension has simply proved that brady isnt a god. Hes a part of the well oiled machine that is bill belichick, grant it hes a shiny goood part. But the machine can still run just fine with a replacement part. No other team in the NFL can say that, the packers were failure when rodgers got hurt, Colts horrible w/o luck, and so on.

Then when he became the head coach for NE, first year they went 5-11, Bill was about to be fired, then first 2 games of the the 2001 season, went 0-2. Brady then stepped in, won 3 Superbowl rings in 4 seasons. 2008 season, Brady got hurt and they didn't make it to the playoffs. You could say Bill is the reason for Brady's success, but in actuality, Brady is the reason for Bill's success.

They tapped into each other's potential, and the rest is history.

    It is a symbiotic relationship. Belichick is a great coach, his way or the highway. Brady, VERY< VERY, much to his credit , allows himself to be coached. Can you ever see any other ego maniac QB get belittled in front of the whole team, and come out and say, "He's right, I have to play better" AND HE DOES. There may never be another pair like them . BUT we learned something in his 4 game suspension, Patriots are a good team all by them selves, BUT without that extra magic that Tom Brady brings, they are not a great team. Tom Brady said "he is the coach and I am the player", so his head is so grounded it really is remarkable.

True Brady came and saved B.B from the hotseat but people forget that before Brady turned up B.B was on teams which were below average and had nowhere near the talent it had once Brady arrived and attracted names. Truth is they are products of each other, if you swapped Brady with Payton Manning he would have won about the same amount of SB's Manning has and vice versa. Its hard to be a coach to a team with nothing or little to work with and win. Also having a QB like Brady gave B.B more of a chance to develop other players and focus on other aspects of football and allowed him to learn and excel at being a coach.
