HUMBLED: Brendan Fairclough VS Pinkbike's Mike Levy

- There are many important lessons one should go through in life, but Mike would argue that being humbled is probably at or near the top of that list. Being knocked off your high horse not only provides some valuable perspective, it's often also the best way to learn...
And that's exactly what happened when Scott's Brendan Fairclough took Pinkbike's own Mike Levy down a peg or five while riding together in the Whistler Bike Park.

brendan is an awesome teacher. This is the best series I've seen yet from pinkbike.
Brendan is awesome guy
instablaster.
this is great. more content with Brendog pleases. he's such a Dude !!
If I had to pick a mountain bike coach, it would absolutely be Brendog. I don't even ride much downhill, but his understanding of biking seems like it would be universally useful.
I really agree. I'm trying to get to that level. Bren has the mind to go between FMX and downhill slopestyle MTB with ease
i love how sam hill has become a verb in the mtb language.
Lol
“Fuckin Sam Hill that shit bro”
This guy at 2:08 must be blown away. Casually riding down a trail when Mike Levy is standing on the sideline.
With brendog too
@@hsklar5941 naming Mike in stead of Brendan is the joke since Brendan's obviously the superstar ;)
@@hsklar5941 r/wooooosh.
😂
Great tips from Brendog ^^
I've been humbled too...
Really nice skills video! Should pop more of those!!
Brendan, what a pleasant personality & a great teacher.
Make this a series with both of them!
Fuck yeah, I love Brendon. Such a genuine dude.
Also, sweet content PB; useful to pick up so pro-tips for my next ride!
Thanks very much! Tell us how you get on.
More episodes of Humbled please!! This was so good for the banter, the riding, and the coaching :)
This is really awesome and very helpful, hope to see a lot more of these videos!
I love Bren's example of planting your "downhill ski" on the hillside. It's so similar. Weighting edges while skiing, weighting sides of the bottom bracket while biking. When I applied this principle to my skiing years ago, it was night and day how quickly I could bomb AND I found an ability to ski powder. Guys, do as many sports as you can and the skills found in each will exponentially help!
Great video, awesome advice from Brendan. Getting that outside foot down, and leaning the bike over underneath you, so that the foot, and your weight, is pushing against the outside pedal is probably the best piece of coaching I have received for gaining speed through turns.
Why have I not seen this video before. Really good to hear the way Brendan explains stuff. Makes so much sense
This is so much more informative than GMBN videos
i think because its more hands on. He is showing someone who doesn't do it right and fixes it with steps. But gmbn just gives you tips and doesn't see your riding so some tips might be useless
Debatable, although the smile Blake puts on my face is very similar to the smile this puts on my face!
That's one of the best explanations of how to technically commit to lines, and why, I have seen in a video. Thanks
This is the best, most useful skills video I've seen. Brendon's a great teacher and the set up with good rider and a great rider worked really well.
Would be good to show a few replays or slow mo's when Brendon was explaining to Mike what he was doing wrong.
Great work to all involved!
That was the best free lesson I've ever had. Great tips and demo of them.
Brendog seems to be a great personality and a teacher! Awesome vid!
That was quick! Fairclough: For you, yeah! 😎 ...classic lmao
Please make more of this videos! Great to see how to improve my riding on trails I know well. But you missed the rock slab on schlyer. Would like some pointers on that feature
“Alright show me what you have planned…… mmmmm no” cuts to the next section 🤣🤣
This is awesome. Hope there is more to come
Keep these videos coming... funny and informative... cheers!
Waiting for the next video, at last really simple, good examples and explanations and humbled is key, and funny. Great riders and good guys.
still my favorite video on PB. Levy and Fairclough are epic together
That was superb, more of this please
Awesome video, great tips for anyone that enjoys a ride!
Fun, entertaining and informative. Everything a mountain bike video should be like. If only I could achieve it :D
More of these from the pros please, this is useful stuff!
Love it! More of this please!
Amazing Video !!! More videos like this !
This was great. It's one thing to be able to ride something well, but another to be able to teach it. Really awesome. Would be helpful in future if the segments could be slowed down a bit so we could see the techniques a little easier.
I watch this Video every two months just because it is so much fun to watch levy and Brendog(bought a Gambler because of him) would love to see more stuff like this
that was great! more please
Best piece of content ever! More!
Awesome video, great tips 👍🍺
I AM LOVIN THIS NEW HUMBLED SERIES! Great advice for the different sections, in my head this is wot I try to do but in reality.....🤣
More of these!!!!!!!
Brendog is awesome, so down to earth, funny, lots of whit and a fantastic rider! Awesome video guys, very informative and entertaining 👌🏻😎
I was also told drop the outside foot in berms on a recent coaching session - most people use level pedals and only drop the foot on flat corners
Yeah, Brendan feeding the wisdom! More of this content please!
Very cool video with great tips.
quick plug at 9:08 from brendan
Nice vid, great tips.
Such a perfect name, Humbled. The pros are so fast, just warp speed.
great video. tips for everyone.
That was entertaining and super useful!
i actually felt i learnt some good trail knowledge. thanks Brendan and Mike!
more of theseeee!
Best series ever.
More of this plz
Mike you can show Brendan how eat doughnuts
This is Gold. 12:40 is way too short.
I love how race engineering spans all forms of wheeled competition. Carrying speed on corner exit (balancing early/late apex) is where tenths of a second can be made! TRACTION CIRCLE FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T LOOKED INTO THE CONCEPT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Longitudinal vs lateral tire load!
Great vid 😎🤘
I'm meeting up with Brendog this Weekend to get humbled
in the mouth
Brilliant 👍
One of the best, cheers Brendan
Humbled is probably the most interesting mtb content there can be!
some golden nuggets there from Brendog
Cool video :)
Brendan: "you could go faster... If your not riding with Scott" hahahha
When Brendan talks, you listen...
Brendan is number one!
This is gold.
Just send it bro
Brend, big person not just a big rider
Damn, I knew WC riders are on s different level, but I never thought they would be sooo much better hahaha damn
Is that Scott the Genius 27.5+
7:34
Brendan is so good man!
Bren has become my fav biker 😀
The dog is king👑👑
brendog is the man
I need to be humbled by the Brendog
One of those 14 dislikes is Sam Hill.
can you teach me too brendan? please
Sponsored by Monster. Wants beer.
brendog is the dog!!!
I always thought levy was pro listening to the reviews....
Yes :)
💣💥💣💥💣💥💣💥💣💥
alot of this is motorcycle stuff. If you rode a motorcycle same stuff applies
I m First
....some not great examples.. sorry team!
half face helmets at a bike park....eww
I’m sure it was intentional for a better dialogue deliverance throughout the video when educating on the biking techniques
@@matth.7276 fair point.. Still hate them though. Worked at one for enough years to say that they have no place there.
@@JMcKaySV I agree, but mostly because of the safety aspect of them and how I've never really liked the way they looked haha
@@JMcKaySV He usually rides with his D4 and DH bike but being the nature of the video he's on his trail bike and they aren't exactly sending it.
So much standing around....
This pinkbike guy is so cocky and annoying
