p.s. I figure this is probably a common question, and I may even make a video about it, but no, you don't need a DH bike for Whistler. That being said, I enjoyed have one greatly as it helped allow me to push the boundaries of my capabilities more readily than I may have on my trail bike. - ZĂĄbava

When you get the ticket for the top of the world. Be sure you get there before 4 pm. No one tells you this. Not even the guys at the top of the Garbo gondola. The peak chair shuts down at 4. No refund or anything, not complaining as it was completely my fault but hopefully it saves someone the headache as I know I was not the only one who has experienced this.
Man your voiceover work has gotten so good. Production values on this channel are ace dude, nice work.
Thanks dude, been working hard on it!!

Geralt of Rivia love it
Can we take a second to appreciate the guy (around 7:40) who stopped because he heard his buddy yell? I just think that that's amazing that instead of just moving on out of excitement he stopped and was concerned for his biking friend's safety, major respect for being a good person

Hey Sampler Claus can I have some lumps of stoke in my stocking this year?

"Share the Stoke" would make a killer shirt!
That's an awesome idea!

I agree. Make some I will buy one or a few.
So glad you included things like the bridge, and showed the other parts of whistler that I personally had never seen before, my overall picture of whistler has now changed.
I hope to get there one day (all the way from Australia)

Btw, I'm stoked with this video dude đ€
I went to Whistler for the first time this year too. Top of the World wasn't open, but it was still amazing. I went in with high expectations and was still blown away how good it is.

Your editing/ story telling has been incredible the last couple videos. Really went from being just another mtb youtuber to creating your own unique style. Keep it up!
Alex your video was great. I'm so stoked. Am trying to save for Whistler 2020. Please keep the vids coming. You and Seth are phenomenal. I watch alot of CZcams vids but your guys vids make me feel alive. They are literally the best content on the web. Thank you guys.
Thatâs really lifted my spirits. Wet UK weather kind of doing my head in. I want to get back out on the bike now!
I love these videos! Especially all the go pro footage and the voiceover! Getting better and better as the videos go on!
Soooo hyped for my first trip to Whistler in June! Keep the whis content coming it will help keep the stoke all winter as I wait for the trails to dry out again!

Man, Alex is just such a pure soul, what a guy. Hope youâre hanging in there brother, canât wait to see more from you.
I've only ever ski'd and shredded Whistler and Blackcomb mountains in the winter so was sweet to see it from a different perspective in the summer. Recognized some of the places on the way down!
Dude, I got goosebumps when I heard your pure excitement when you came up on the flow section of Top of the World. I was so stoked for you. Epic video. đ€
Iâm really impressed at how the videos have become mini movies almost trailers for the stuff thatâs on Patreon !
What an awesome lap! Top of the world never disappoints, for sure a highlight of the season đ€
Epic trail made even better with an incredible crew! Thanks for the tow in's and more importantly the laughs :P
@@The_Sampler Paul is the unofficial CZcams ambassador for Whistler. I think I've watched 50 vids this year with him involved at Whistler in some way or another. If I ever make it on CZcams, I'm calling The Punter when I go to Whistler. The resort should sponsor him!
Hell yes! This made me sooo stoked to ride, especially with hucksgiving just around the corner. This video quality is so good and it inspires me so much with my own youtube videos! Thanks so much đ€đŒ
i gotta say these videos shot up in quality and it shows how hard youâre working. keep it up!!
I just re-watched the van build playlist and I think the only couple things of the van build needs is new seat covers, you can take the seats to a upholstery shop and they can remove the seat covers that are on there now and restitch ones out of whatever Material you want with any kind of cool designs on it, they can even so your channel name or model on to the headrest and maybe a cool wrap for the outside of the van
Why? That would just make it a target for vandalism and even pushy fans who want to meet the sampler. If he has a wrap the van may also be more recognized, and he wouldn't be able to camp at as many places because it could be mistaken as a camper, which is the exact opposite of what he wants to do.
Intros had me rolling. hahahah
Bro, now this video is insanely good. I really loved to watch it. I also liked to see your pure happiness from riding this trail. Wish I could be there now. Please keep doing more videos like this.
These videos are few and far between, but I can definitely tell why. The production value on this is so good! Awesome job Alex.
Man your awesome Iâve been riding almost every weekend got in my first big crash dislocated my elbow that was fun just a quick pain maybe not quick but you know oh well itâs a right of passage your great love your vids so thanks for being my inspiration also stoke level is probably to much to count itâs so high because hopefully Iâll get a new bike soon mine has seen better days
That must be one HELL of a bike that Canyon Sender to take that impact at 2:57! Great video kid!
Thanks for these videos! After my 5th time mountain biking in Moab I just bought my first full suspension. These videos are definitely more advanced for me but they definitely get me stoked for things Iâll get to try in the future! đ€
Another amazing video! Stoked on your new style. Looking forward to more.
We rode TOTW the day after this with dismal conditions and even so it was absolutely epic, but, should've gone when Joe said so lol.
âThe Singletrack Samplerâ takes a whole new meaning here
I was feeling it for Tonka on the bridge. Iâm not so sure I would have been able to set foot on it.

It's so easy to blast by the incredible landscape where we get to play, thanks for bringing attention to it back in this video!
Hi man love your channel and loved the video!
However I do miss the raw trail vibe you had in your other videos. The way you talked while riding the trail, not much cutting in the scenes etc. It made me really feel like I was there with you riding it.
Were you planning on doing more of these early vibe videos? :)
Thanks for the content!
Hey Victor, I still make some of these videos as a perk for my patreon community while working on these bigger videos. If you want more of those, that's where you get them!

Truly and outstanding video showcasing an underexposed part of Whistler. 90% of the MTB crowd will never clear 10% of the stuff on A Line, but most can probably handle this and come away with an EPIC experience! Now we need a tropical bike park destination for the winter months!
I haven't mountain biked since I was younger and finding your channel and this being the first vid I saw, awoke something in me. I really need to get a bike again :D awesome vid!
dude your vids made huge improvements. congratulation, i can barely imagine the effort to get them ready. cheers alex ! can't wait for the next one

I had some serious shortage of stoke today. Where I live riding season is basically year round, but my confidence had been bruised recently after a bunch of back to back crashes. This morning I watched this video and then got pumped. On my ride I smashed a bunch of my PRs and felt in the zone the whole time. Thanks!
I've skiied Whistler since I was six, usually 5-10 times a winter, often just for the day (As a skiier, living in Vancouver is only beat by living in the alps). I love those two mountains, and know 'em like the back of my hand. The views from the peak are spectacular. And what you guys did was what we skiers call the "Peak to Creek". Prolly one of the best runs on the mountain. Good to see it also holds up on a bike XD
Another great video Alex! Thanks for sharing the stoke
Epic as always! Thanks STS

I'm glad I live in a place where I'm able to ski in the winter, and then immediately go biking before the ski season even ends.
