@@viviha34Not just old heads. There’s at least two generations that recognizes her as that. If people don’t agree they just don’t have that particular connection to music to understand the reason she’s called that. You gotta really know music and preferably be an actual singer yourself.

You are exactly right! She said in an interview background singers can kill her vibe and she wants her live performance to sound like she does on her recordings.
Brandy never fails to give a good live performance. Her 90s songs always bring back nostalgia. I think she uses backing vocals on most of her live performances that I've seen. I saw her gig at London in 2016 and if I'm honest it was overly theatrical and there was way too much backing vocals. Personally i prefer a more acoustic live sound from her. That being said I'm still a fan

She's had live background singers before but it might be a matter of hiring singers with the sound she wants AND COVID constraints, or even time restrictions. She's a vet, so if she didn't have her backing track ready already, it's probably easy for her to do.

Right!! Unfortunately it just comes with the territory. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. It's just annoying because it takes about 4 to 5 hours to record, edit, and post 1 video. You have to do all of that work before you can even find out if it's going to get blocked 🤬
