One tip I'd add that I apply to not only running but my cycling and motorcycling is: Don't be tempted to put your bankcard in the back of your phone case. If you happen to lose your phone, you've then lost your other means of payment.

🇨🇦 Great tips! I would include packing extra food at all times!

I'd recommend letting someone know of your intended route and what time you're likely to return. That way if something did go wrong, someone would know where to start searching for you. This is especially important if you are going out alone. Just remember to let them know when you've returned safely.

Totally agree. Having a phone can be useless if you cant reach a connection, which is likely to happen in the mountain...

As someone who lives in Colorado, another useful tip, in addition to the others: Always take a jacket or shell with a hood.

I did mention that I always pack a taped seemed waterproof jacket when ever I go into the mountains. Thanks for watching 🙏

You are a wealth of knowledge for those of us still new to trail running. Especially for those of us traveling to other countries for the first time. 😃 ✈️ ⛰️

Hi Loyd, thanks for the video! I would say that checking the weather forecast should be the very first thing to do; also trying to keep an eye on the sky from time to time, in order to realize if weather conditions are changing or not (which can be tricky, even with some experience 😅) greetings from Brittany !

Very good tips! What packable rain jacket do you recommend? Also, I’ve been wondering why you have a saguaro?
