i love the baby bottle warmer, that will work great for warming up resin bottles to help eliminate bubbles
Nice tips. I use a cut down milk bottle when I have my handpiece in the bench vice and using it for polishing - catches all the dust thrown behind it instead of covering the bench.
I use a slow cooker for my pickle, but the baby bottle warmer would also be great for keeping your liver of sulphur solution for patination warm for the deepest colour.
Those hole punches are handy. Keep all the little divots then you can use them to texture a presoldered sheet with nice little circles.

p.s. Instead of the blue tack, I've used the red wax shell off Baby Bells - goes soft when it gets warm and easily removed from detail its got stuck in with hot water

I use a crockpot for the pickle. More or less the same. Love the holepunch idea! 👍🏼
Yes, it's a great option too! I used to have it, but after it broke down, I needed a replacement. All of the available slow cookers were too big, so I decided to try hot plate. It wasn't bad, but it smelled horrible and wasn't too handy. This bottle warmer works the best so far 😃 Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
Instead of using baby bottle warmer u can get wax melter,pretty cheap and you can adjust the heat

I'm thinking about making a tutorial where I could be using them them too 🥰 But it's very simple, you cut it out, stick in onto the metal and use it as a guide to saw out. You use the size markings to choose your desired size. And you pick appropriate template to appropriate metal gauge 😁

Ooooo if you turn one of the sanding discs around you have double sided sanding discs for those hard to reach areas. I made a plastic box with room to get my hands in for when I'm cutting and polishing opals and no more ducking!

Drilling was a bust for me at a looong time, then I come over a dental micro handdrill at very good price, changed my life, alomost never broke at drillbit sense that, total control even with a 0,5mm drillbit on 2-3mm deapth of drilling. That micromotor is not cheap tho if you buy it new, around 2.500$ in Sweden, but I got a used one for 150$! Normally they goes for 5-700$ used but in good shape, worth every penny even then…👍😊
oh I have to try this! I'll havce a look if I'm able to find something like this. Thank you for the recommendation! Also, I agree, used tools aren't bad and they can make a great alterantive. It's just important to do a little background check and make sure the tool is safe, other than that it's nothing less than a new one :)

A small crockpot is very good and cheap to, less plastic.
Small crock pot is great, had one before. It broke quite quickly though, so it depends on the item. This plastic bottle heater is now lasting longer than the crock pot did, so I'm quite happy with it
Metal of a crackpot gets corroded by the acid ( vinegar is acetic acid) in the pickle. Plastic will not be corroded by the acid/ vinegar. So the baby bottle warmer should last longer.
I'm going to try the bottle protector, I've just started polishing and there was a huge mess also from compound 😬 not complaining, but the link for the hole punch pliers is not working just so you know,maybe they have removed them?
I immediately ordered some of those pliers after watching this. I don't mind drilling but that seems so much faster.

I have a question. I live in Belgium and I used to buy sometimes some supply from the UK (gemstones), but now it's terrible cos of the high costs of import taxes. How do you manage to sell your jewelry to people who don't live in the UK? It must be a lot harder right now;

Oh dear, I'll need to go through the links and refresh them. These are called hole punching pliers, they should be available on Amazon and other craft or jewelry stores. I hope you'll be able to find them!

Why do you stack multiple circles of the sandpaper? It seems wasteful to use sandpaper as backing - is there a reason that you didn't use the cutter to make matching sized cardboard backing? Or does stacking the sandpaper pieces let you just rip off the used up one on top and keep going, and you don't really need multiple pieces for backing? This hack seems so promising but I'm just a smidge away from understanding it!!
I stack them for some added sturdiness, while keeping them flexible. Adding a cardboard would've made them too thick or too sturdy, and I wanted them to bend a little. Also, it helps to change them quicker, so that I don't have to waste time removing an old one and attaching a new one each time :)
