aww wish you had more time at this place and did more even ... sure the set walk was fun but this is the meat and potatoes that comes before that dessert
For those who want physical media (DVD/BD) need to wait until June 25th, 2024
@@alhutchison1535 ThanX for heads up to hell with streaming it as that,s acon
Adam, I wonder when are you gonna do a video on the drone trap
What I love is that Adam through all the years he's worked in this industry still shows a passion and excitement as if it were his first day. It's inspiring to your viewers. Thank you.
Ditto to what you said and I'd like to add how excited he is for the up and coming prop makers. His face lights up when one showed him a new tool or when he met up with the guy he had been emailing.
Especially when he sees or hears of a way of doing something, that he did not think of or is far easier or better. lol
What the title of this video should be is "Another video of Adam resisting the urge to steal things from the set of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire".
5:38 "Tell me what's on your bench here, propmaker." To hear that come from Adam, in person, while working on your dream production, must have been a crowning moment. Well done to the entire crew of Frozen Empire. Truly an achievement in today's world of filmmaking.
Id lost it, at least off screen id fainted that my hero referenced me like that
I was shaking for pretty much 3 days straight. And i kept having to pause to calm down so i could stop stammering.
At the end when talking to my mate Rich, Adam holds the little hammer from my hole punch kit which Rich was using to make the rivets. I have a little bit of Adam's DNA on my hole punch hammer. Life long dream realized! . Serioulsy though, a great video and so nice to see a friend of mine and my hole punch tools featured. :)
Where can you buy one from in the UK?
I love the fact that Adam is almost as excited, or maybe even more excited, by finding a new tool with the submarine model guy, than for the actual props used for catching ghosts. That just made me laugh.
Absolutely love enthusiastic Adam is no matter where he's at, just so exciting to watch.
So great seeing someone getting their dream job. Congrats, Ben.
Thanks dude 😁
@Tested, it's "Millen" 😛, was an honour and a pleasure to meet with you 😊
Oh, I looked you up and I've definitely been admiring your switches on Etsy in the past, to the point where I've seriously considered buying one for my next pack build 😅 Congrats on getting to work on this film!
Thank you 😊
It's awesome to see him support Etsy GB makers. He purchased a LifeGard from my shop, still brimming about it. I have the order framed in my shop. Congrats on the job, that is incredible!
Adam is happy as heck to see the props being made. I bet those makers are just happy not only to make them but to go home and brag about meeting him.
Both for sure
I want the rivet punch thing! 9:08
Wow! This takes me back to 1980, when I used a 555 timer chip to build a flashing LED PCB that had R2D2 printed on the flashing side. It was a project in high school electronics class where I had to photo transfer the circuit tracings onto the copper clad phenolic board, and etch it with ferric chloride solution, then solder the components onto the board. It was a blast!
I also purchased an Attenuator from this guy. This video shows you that practical propmakers still have a place!!!
Adam geeking out over tools…. I can relate
Is that Ben of Kent??
Living the dream!
no, im Ben of Millen, different dude :)
Thank you for making such awesome content! You are very enjoyable to watch, with just the right mix of entertainment and education. I hope you keep making these fun videos!
Several of them “three”…. I think Emma was in awe of being on cam and chatting with Adam. Great video
I love this series, i can with confidence tell people that in Ghostbusters: Afterlife they did mix practical & SFX with the huge trap at the end.
Just saying "go look on Tested" just feels so good
I was holding off on watching this just because of two reasons:
- I didn't want to get spoiled (haven't seen the Frozen Empire just yet)
- Movie prop making is 80% slow, repetitive, boring slog and 20% (give or take) of fun/enjoyment of the fruits of your labour
But I'm glad I clicked on the video - just like any and pretty much any other video Tested has uploaded, it's been a pure joy to watch! I cannot express how much this channel is filling a void that wrapping of Mythbusters has left!I was holding off on watching this just because of two reasons:

This is my dream job. Working on props for movies and TV and stuff. I have to know how to get a job working in this department in the future because like I said it's my dream to work in one.
Adam, I love watching your videos.... Next time your in the UK, Please visit the Retro Computer Museum.....I think you`ll love it!
Great video sir
The bmw x5 parked across two spaces is the least surprising part of this video.
Your were here in the UK! Gemma is sweet 👍
Fantastic to see the 555 timer still relevant. And great the ETSY seller is now on the crew working for GBs.
I'd have assumed they'd use mosfets with a microcontroller or something. I wonder why the decision to use 555 with relays.
@@hippopotamus86 simple, cheap, reliable, needs no code written. The circuit running the four lights in sequence with relays and the 555 timer chip likely dates back to the 1970's.
A love how Adam head is constantly moving around the shop... I wonder what are you using it for... :)
Good to see.
Cool 😎
Loved the film (my opinion).... Full props to the team that made it 👍👍👍 Oh yes, pun MOST definitely intended!
Booooo
@@ADHDVLOGS ah good to see a ghost in the comments
It was awesome getting to work with you again!
Hopefully we see each other on the next set lol
Awesome video!! Need more of these geeking out moments behind the scenes of movies. Side note: why didn't you include that amazing tool's info in the video description!?!?!
Thought for Adam: As someone who has mastered and nearly retired from a craft, I am thoughtful and cautious about using the work "just" to describe someone's work or process. It can come off as a subtle putdown. "Oh, so you're just..."
Where is that thumbnail rc car in this video
7:28 - The lady in the background examines a banana very attentively for some reason :)
Thanks Adam for another great video! Were they working on the drone ghost trap in the prop shop? Thanks
where is the link for the punches
Nice video, as always. btw why are you always slapping at things? I was watching mytbusters early and since the beggining any chance you get yo slap hard anything 🤣
Everyone you’ve spoken to on the ghostbusters set has been British
Because it was filmed in Britain
@@tord6725
I figured that out, noticing the benches were all right-hand drive :)
I still wonder what that prop was supposed to be at 5:52? It's not on Lucky's Pack.
Nope, it's the rear of the sidecar from the motorcycle, didn't really get seen in the film 😏
Did you get the hole punch tools?
British craftsmen and women at there very best
their :]
Need details on the styrene rivet stamp.
after some Googling, it looks like it is the RP Toolz Punch and Die and Hexagonal Punch and Die.
What was that thing with the little hammer?
The text graphics have a typo in all the pop-ups. “Frozen Empirere”.
I would love to see some props from M3GAN
Very interesting that they were all British . I wonder why that is ?
Because the movie was produced in the UK.
BoK!
Nope
7:17 favorite prop of the video is the banana the lady behind them is working on lol
Caught me off gaurd seeing a random ass banana hope its a prop and not snack time cause otherwise this joke is even more dumb xD
Now show us behind the scenes of Project hail mary.
:)
Ben Mullen that was worth the $500
Thumbnail shows the Drone trap = 😀
Drone trap isn’t in the video = ☹️
Anytime the prop maker asks the interviewer if they can call the prop their working on the actual name of the item....there is a weirdness.
How does Ben, who knows only the most basic electronics, get made responsible for an electronic prop effect?
Thanks dude 👍
@@BenMillen Did you manage to getta selfie taken with you alongside Adam Savage? 🤔
Why are all these guys British? Were the props made over here? (I'm in the UK)
At the end of the film do they get the chance to get them back??
Why didn't they show you any cool stuff?
RC Razor Crest please.
The lengths some fan builders will go for screen accurate props
This movie was pretty good, but not as good as the previous one.
That young lady looks like she's about fifteen years old
Great props too bad they are wasted on this movie.
This is the ONLY good thing to come from that unoriginal excrement of a film
I always appreciate a filthy lady who is good with her hands.
Especially when they're a pretty, young, petite blond with a cute accent?
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼
I'm not trying to be a hater but the new ghostbusters wasn't that good
