My first car which I still have is a white 97 c230. its lowered on bilsteins and it was my grandpas. He had it 3 years and bought it because it was lowered (lol) sold it to me and I've had it for 3 year and it's been nothing but reliable 316,000kms and still going strong just about ready for new shocks tho. great video randy!

I think I put this on the original video for this car, but my daughter totaled my 97 C280 hitting a Jersey barrier at 60. And walked away without a scratch. The W202 is a great platform.
Hey Randy. As other people mentioned the fog lights are built in the front lights assesment. As far as the slow temperature concern you probably do have a problem with your thermostat cause from my personal experience this car warms up pretty fast it's engine

MB Used same light switch (9 or 11 pin version, 11 had fog lights) for many C class cars, no fog lights on your car, was optional, removeable plastic cover and fog lights added) LED on radio and hvac fade after time, pressing screen sometimes makes it come back

The two inner most front lights are the fog lights (next to grill) you can see them when you turn off the regular head lights

That merc is a really nice car for the money.
The display may be suffering from Zebra strips with bad contact, a relatively common problem with older LCDs. These can basically be cleaned (be very careful on the display side and use demi H2O with 99% isopropyl alc) or replaced. An automotive environment seems like exactly the place where those would be used. The alternative would be a hot bar attachment affair, which is a high-temperature plastic film cable that's been soldered on using, you guessed it, a hot bar, basically a soldering iron with a massive tip.
Two bulbs out in the same rear light? Could be a coincidence, but I would definitely check the ground, too...

Light is intergraded into the bottom edge of the left rear taillight
The fog lights are built in to the headlights. Also, rear fog light basically just turns on one brake light. Normally the drivers side.
I've glued headliners using those glue sticks from the dollar store and that was 5 years ago and it's still holding. Not that much was hanging just a little bit up by my front visors.

hi randy i got a w202 c180 and i can confirm that your thermostat is stuck open because the temp gauge most reach 40 after warming up and yours is 0

Is this 230 or the 280 more reliable?
Mine is a 2000 mercedes benz c230 kompressor, but on the side it says sports and I don't know what that means. It's only got 186000 miles and I have never had any major issues with it. Runs great and doesn't leak any oils of any kind
