It's nice to see less known PS4 titles somewhere in indie or AA budget range gain recognition.
Glad you liked the picks!
The makers of wreckfest was bugbear which was the same makers of flat out for PS2 and PSP.
Some sweet titles highlighted here. Broforce is a blast (and hilarious) to play. I’m glad you highlight Gungrave Gore since it always seemed intriguing, but saw it received low scores when it released. Instead, it looks like something right up my alley. Gravity Circuit looks awesome as well! Another awesome episode man!
Great list, those that I've played I really liked and the others I'm def gonna try! I really loved playing Steamworld Dig, Steamworld Heist and Ittle Dew 2 on the PS4 myself. West of Loathing on the Switch was another unexpected gem I recently finished playing.
Saw the title and immediately thought of ‘Wreckfest’. Love your work, especially the always perfect narration.
Thank you very much!
Just want to say appreciate the vids and the simple playlists, so I dont have to dig for what Im looking for 😂 Also did you make a GameBoy/Color vid? Would be interesting to see your picks!
I've been getting back into classic gameboy and gameboy color games and would love to see lists on those again eventually (if they haven't been done in some time). Tiny Toons Adventures 2: Montana' Movie Madness and Batman: The Animated Series both for the gameboy are lesser known examples of stunning overall production and technical achievements on the old gameboy hardware integrated with solid gameplay. Thanks for the content as always!
Good to see Deception being covered. One of my favourite series, would love to see another entry.
Bro force rules. It took one hour to understand the pace but them i was unstoppable
Still loving your content, thanks ❤️
Glad you enjoy it!
Thx for the list, still collecting for PS4 and referencing if I have then alreadybfor XBSX or not.
Love your videos please post more videos on playstation games
And please post videos about classic PC games like Nocturne 1999 or RTS games old , new or upcoming like commandos origins that I'm super excited for.
More on the way!
DNF Duel seemed intriguing, and I know a few of my friends play it. They were big into DFO back then. Broforce I've also played with some friends it was pretty fun LOL! We got stuck on the boss that is underground, I don't remember what it's called. One of my favorite Let's Play CZcamsrs played Gravity Circuit recently and it does look fun!
I’ll second that, gravity circuit is so much fun!
I think I have Wreckfest on my library as it was one of the monthly PS+ free games a while back if I'm not mistaken. I'll check it out.
Rise of the Third Power is giving me Albert Odyssey vibes....Def checking this one out
Hope you enjoy it!
Hurray for Wreckfest! Everyone should play it!
I’ll second that!
Unrelated to this video:
I just finished watching all your videos about DS games, and I think TAO's Adventure Curse of the Demon Seal fits in one of those videos.
Lost Magic, with the spell drawing, reminded me of this game.
I played so much of it! I hope you check it out :)
Edit: Denpa Men for the 3DS is also a lot of fun.
love d the video!
I platinumed Gungrave GORE and it was a grind but I had a ton of fun getting it though.
You’re back awesome ps4 time
More to come!
The best hidden gem videos period!!!
Cheers!
It's time to buy it xDDDD
I love shot em ups to so this looks so interesting to me 5:23
Thanks for another underated suggestions.
Glad you found something you liked!
Nobody never mention deception series! I love it so much !
I think the PS4/5 eras have cast a light on smaller indie games. I have enjoyed far more small dev indie games than I have big budge AAA games.
My favorite in the last few years have been A Hat in Time, Sea of Stars, Cosmic Star Heroine, The Messenger, and Anno:Mutationem.
Gungrave gore honestly felt like the old school run and gun platformers and was a fantastic game
I’ll second that!
Great list of games 🎮 i got some of them ngl
Interesting to see Gungrave G.O.R.E on here! Seems like a kind of game that you either really jive with or you don't. Hard to find a middle ground.
One of my favourites for the PS4 was No Straight Roads. A short game with a lot of love in it.
It’s definitely a mixed bag but after the patches is definitely worth giving a go. Never heard of no straight roads, I’ll have to check it out! 🙂
Rise of the Third Power is not just one of the best indie RPGs out there, it is also one of the best RPGs released in recent years. The writing, characters, and combat are great and there is even enough optional content to extend the game's length another 5-10 hours, which isn't common for an indie RPG. With the multiple difficulty settings, both beginners and veterans can find something satisfying here and I was very happy with how engaging the combat is on the Expert difficulty setting. If you enjoy retro JRPGs and/or indie RPGs in general, then Rise of the Third Power is must-play. Limited Run also did a physical release of this game in a combo release with Ara Fell, an earlier Stegosoft game, which is also great. That release is available for both the PS4 and Switch.
This is a good list of lesser known and overlooked gems on the PS4, the one game I can name that is on that system I feel is criminally underrated is the Mad Max game by Avalanche, I haven't met anyone who's played it at all, I went for a full completion run and I loved every minute of it, the other that's on PS4 as well as Xbox One and the Next Gen systems is the Guardians of the Galaxy game by Eidos Montreal, heck both Guardians games are criminally underrated despite both being in two different genres and yet still are fun.
Such a solid game, included it in part 1 of this series!
@@thatvideogamesshow Oh yeah I forgot this is the second part, ever heard of a game called Republique? It's a stealth game inspired by the Resident Evil Remake and Metal Gear Solid, it's a wild title and possibly one of the most underrated PS4 games cause I hear even less people discuss it than Mad Max.
The two interesting looking games here (gungrave & wreckfest) are on PS5
I wonder if the PS4 version of Broforce has improved since the time I played it, which was a long while ago. When it was released on PS+, the game was plagued by absolutely godawful performance and a myriad of game crashing bugs. It may be OK now, but it took a long time to get there. Gungrave Gore had nothing on Broforce...
DNF duel is an interesting one as it's a fighting game which will turn ppl away as easily as attract others. The developers were the ones who made Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and it shows in the gameplay. It's really easy in DNF duel to shut out the opponent completely and basically make it impossible for them to do anything, which makes it not too appealing to new players. Added to that, for a while, it didn't look like the game was going to get any support after release and early on, the game was dominated by a handful of characters who were clearly more powerful than the others and this only helped push away players of the game.
Things are different now, but DNF duel suffered from a lot of unforced errors and missed its chance to shine and is not likely to make a major resurgence.
These are SO cheap right now. It's about time I picked one up.
bro knows what he's doing with the thumbnail :)
😉
PS4 is still a beast with a lot of good games!
One of the best consoles!
Shadow Warrior 2 is better than pt. 3 just due to having 3 player coop That is open world and drop in. So you could be in one world and everyone else would be doing their thing all helping the collection of loot.
... broforce is ridiculously good :)
Gun grave will always be #1
ps4 is amazing. Change that thermal paste though lmao
Be magic if you could put in time stamps.
Dnf Duell GungGrave Gore und wreckfest sind wirklich gute Spiele Dnf Duell und wreckfest zocken mein Bruder und ich sehr gerne echt schade alle underrated sind
..Do Not Fcuk Duel looks like Guilty Gear tbh
That gungrave segment was like the hobo that finds the cheese crust on the top of the discarded pizza box. Still trash. A strange way to start a video with the rest of the games being pretty decent.
Most of these are on Switch too 😐
- Gungrave isn't underrated , it's polarizing . Some people loved it because they found it fun , some people hated it because the gameplay is boring ...
- Rise of third power isn't underrated , it's a gem and everybody who played said so ...
- DNF duel isn't underrated , it's a competent fighting game that brought nothing new to the table and was instantly surpassed by the guilty gear that followed...
- Natsuki Chronicle isn't underrated , it's recognized as a basic Shoot'emUp with bad art design and very common mechanics...
- Broforce isn't underrated .... come on ... everybody on the planet fell in love with that game since it's early access 10 years ago ....
- Wreckfest isn't underrated , people like it for what it is ...
- Gravity circuit isn't underrated , everybody who played loved it...
- Shadow warrior 2 isn't underrated , it's an upgrade from the first and everybody knows it is much better than the 3rd...
- Deception 4 isn't underrated .... this is a cult classic from the PS2 era that people love for it's many quality and it's many flaws
- Astria ascending isn't underrated ... it is a mediocre game and people recognized it as such...
This list was made by someone that never played any of those games and has no idea what the word "underrated" means , the author just took 10 random games and is reading a script most probably taken from somewhere else.
That's just a bunch of bad games... and Deception
First to like
14:59 What do you mean "dated appearance"? I hope you would reply or specify on future vid's given the state of gaming these days. If you meant because there's a female that actually looks feminine then I can unsub and not waste my time but if you meant graphics could be more polished than great, thanks for the video.
Man you are just looking for a reason to get triggered, aren't you?
These all look pretty terrible, honestly.
Thought everyone was being rude...until I watched it all lol😂 💩
Only one I've played is Broforce and it's real fun
@@omegaweapon116 Looks like shit to me.
I enjoyed playing as all the characters from 80s and 90s action movies: Blade, Neo, Braveheart, etc. @@androxilogin
@@omegaweapon116 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Most of these games on this list (if not all) came out on PC long before they were on PS4, including this one.
