That Ninja Saviors game kicks ass!
I played Chorus on PC and loved all the "magic" abilities you get like crazy dodges or teleporting behind enemies.
Totally agree, the abilities are so much fun to use!
The more time pass the more that PS4 feels like a PS2 v.2... Huge catalog and it refuse to die against his successor.
Monochrome Moebius looks exactly like the one thing im looking for right now.

I JUST had this conversation with someone. The PS4 really is a lot like the 2. The quality and quantity of the titles available is crazy. I like the PS5 just fine, but most of what I play on it are PS4 games.
I hate how games like Valkyrie Elysium will be harder to come by because Square Enix just announced they will focus more on big quality titles. Honestly I loved their recent ones such as Neo the worls ends with tou and Diofield chronicles.
And some of their one offs like paranormalsight
This channel is great help for me now, to find games for my older consoles/dl for my oled steam deck.

Sakuna is an amazing game. Though it has its problems in combat at times, the rice farming is impeccable. I had been enjoying the farming sim rather than the combat and if you go to a certain point where you can use your tools for farming, it becomes so much better and better.
Also, they featured characters from Sakuna as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Awesome to see Nex Machina highlighted here! Metal Wolf Chaos XD is one I have physically, but haven't tried yet sadly. It does look like a wild time. Great list of games highlighted here man, and a few I learned about as well!

I loved chorus, was a really underrated game with really tight responsive controls. So glad it’s getting some love and it’s pretty cheap to get a physical copy.

Ninja Saviour is fully underrated. I have the excellent Switch port and it's still a blast playing through with the unlocked chatacters - Raiden is so different it's like a whole new game.

This game also has straight up B-movie type humor with its dialogue, story, and characters. And it was made by FromSoftware, you'll definitely enjoy it.

Valkyrie Elysium is awesome. I'll also give a mention to Stranger of Paradise: FF Origin, which is one of my favorite action games ever but it doesn't get enough praise.

Second Valkyrie Elysium, underrated ARPG (the DLC sucks tho)! Got the plat for it actually.
The Last Campfire was also a chill little time.
Campfire is such a great game I played the mobile game version and it has controller support

God Eater reminds me a lot of the Phantasy star games on PSP, I used to play those like crazy with the homies, definetly gotta check it out

Monochrome Mobius feels like spiritual succesor to the Grandia series.
I looked up its rating on metacritic and it aint great... which is probably why it's a game "nobody talks about".
Honestly, if a game has been released in the West and nobody talks about it chances are that it's mediocre at best...

handledcool list. bought the ninja warriors game. Its a shame how square enix handled the valkyrie game, you can't even customize her look and thats just wild to me. Monochrome and god eater def going on the wish list.

@@thelastofus2872 well yes the battle system is something new it's like Action Turn Based however not without it's flaws such as fetch quests, it's a fun game and a good PSP RPG with a unique battle system

Oh yeah Last Ranker is only in Japan I recommend using a Fan Translation patch however the BIGGEST flaw for it is that it only translate the main story, items, menus, and that's all, talking to an NPC will be left in Japanese so yeah..
I saw God Eater in the thumn and wanna say all 3 are still worth playing. I'd say do Rage Burst --> Ressurection --> 3 so that you dont go go backwards gameplay wise.
Ressurection and Rage Burst's OSTs also slap really hard

It's worth noting that a lot of these are available on PC as well. And I believe most of those are Steam Deck verified, or at least playable. While I have a PS4, I quite enjoy playing last gen games portably.
You forgot "gravity rush" that game needs more exposure
I really wanted to like sakuna more but it became too repetitive and I had to put it away after the second in game year. Also, I've been looking for a space game that isn't no man's sky and chorus seems like a nice option to try. Thanks.

The reason no one talks about these games is due to 2 reasons.
* Many retail never had these games in stock.
* Not many gamers cared about buying these games.
The only game that got some marketing hype and solud word of mouth was Sakuna. But many stires nwver had a physical copy. And not many gamers cared.
I did pick up Ninja Warriors.This is the only game on this list I found in stores. But once those copies sold out. I never saw it in stores again.
I saw God Eater 3 in stores in often before 2020. After 2020 I havent seen it all in my area.
Is the girl from the Thumbnail in any of these games in particular or is she just there because why not? I'm too curious. Went through all the games and of all them, I might consider God Eater 3 sometime, since I'm a fan of Code Vein.

Valkyrie Elysium actually looked pretty fun to me, even though it's very different from the original games. god Eater 3 is fun too and I was playing it with a friend some time ago. We haven't gone back to it in a while though.
Lots of things that look fun actually arent which was my point with Elysium nobody on this thread seemed to want to entertain. Don’t spend more than 20 on it and I can’t see anyone being upset by it but 60 dollars??? Nah
It plays very stiff. Your character feels as if they’re on rails half the time when ur locking onto enemies. No fluidity to movements and combo streams. The game was reviewed poorly and not spoken of much for good reason. Story is also completely forgettable
In this series (Games Nobody Talks About) ~70% titles tend to be from Japan. It's not until 8th console Gen that gamers around the world are starting learn about these games. Before, most of them never left the Japanese soil.
No *The Wonderful 101: Remastered* , the God’s gift upon us, on the list.

If the ninja warriors - once again is on this list, then there's definitely worth pointing out the other 2 remake games from the same devs, which would be Wild Guns Reloaded And Pocky & Rocky 2 reshrined. Both are great games in their own right.
And God Eater 3 was a bit of a misfire for me. It's still a decent game but it lacked something which made GE2 so much more enjoyable. The story in GE3 was also unbelievably stupid at points and was more likely to have the opposite effect of how they wanted ppl to feel about certain characters and groups.
Face reveal?
I'm still pissed and angry about the waste of money and time that went into Valkyrie Elysium. It purpose was and still is a mystery - not trying to appeal to old fans and not able to stand out as a unique game. It had too many issues, wasn't even remotely doing fine in that new genre and the worst is.. the world would have been a better place if they went Valkyrie Profile 1 or even 2 combat instead, and focused on the strengths and ironing out weaknesses, instead of this lackluster hack'n'slash.
Chorus' gameplay is what Star Fox needs to evolve into.

I have God Eater 2 for PSP, it's a good game, but moving the camera with the d-pad when you are in gun-mode, and moving the character with the analog while you are moving the camera is f*cking terrible! They put the analog and d-pad in the same place, how am I suposed to move with the gun while moving the camera? Why didn't they put a lock-camera button? the only way to lock the camera in enemies, is when you're in sword-mode. Terrible controls I need to say.
Locking on in Gun Form can be acquired through an abandoned god arc in cosole versions

As a Monster Hunter player, I just can't get into God Eater. I think the weapons look dumb and the gameplay is bland and boring imo
