I used to live in this area for about 10 years… I was missing Metairie today and stumbled across you video. Thank you for uploading… felt like I was back home for a bit 🥲

I grew up in Metairie and Kenner. I left there in 1996 for Baton Rouge and haven't been back too many times. Lakeside sure has changed. Thanks for the video.

I'm glad you tagged this video with Metairie, because that is what I was searching for! I am about to leave Thailand after living here for 10 years, and will be going back to the states in the next month or so. And I am going to be moving here with a friend who wants to live here. So this is helping me to get a feel for what this place is like, so thank you so much!

Awesome! Glad it's helping out. What was Thailand like? Never been.

@@midnightmystery544 it's been great living here. The cost of living is super low and allowed me the chance to live walking distance from the beach, which I doubt I can do in the states. It's really beautiful here, but I do miss home. Looking forward to seeing what Merairie is like!

@@ASMRTingledPink Metairie is typical US suburbia but more densely populated than most US suburbs and it does off quite a bit in terms of dining and entertainment.
We have beaches about an hour away to the East in Mississippi. They are nice and plenty to do there, but the water is brownish looking.

@@midnightmystery544 thanks! I'm sure it will be a bit of an adjustment from Thailand. Life here is so very different. When I first came here it was a total culture shock. And I'm sure going back there will be too.
