    Symptoms of fault
Noisy suspension? Is your vehicles air suspension rising slowly or perhaps failing to rise at all? Red Air Suspension Light lit? 1772 - Pressure problems, 1400 - Control position not adjustable, 1577 - Can't raise, errors shown?
    The fault
The piston ring within your vehicles EAS air compressor is worn reducing output significantly.
The poor quality piston ring within your air suspensions compressor wears over time causing these symptoms. The piston ring within the compressor unit of your air suspension system deteriorates over time, the OEM piston ring is made from a soft plastic that wears quickly, this wear substantially reduces the output of your compressor leading to noisy, slow rising or non-rising suspension.
    The solution
Fit our improved design PTFE piston ring and restore your compressor to full health!
Simply install our replacement PTFE piston ring and restore your compressor, full instructions are included to guide you through this simple process which should take under 30 minutes. Our item is made from PTFE which has far superior wear resistance compared to the OEM part providing a permanent fix to the problems with your compressor.

I've just fitted a new piston ring and the plug in says it's producing 5.5 bar and the required is over 8 bar. the valve on top of the piston head is raised half a millimeter should that be flat? there's not much gap but could it be enough to lose that extra bit of pressure? many thanks

I removed the Wabco Continental ZSB suspension compressor on my 2005 Audi Allroad. I have a hard and steady 01397 code failure indicating the N111 solenoid was bad. I didn't see any bad wiring anywhere, so I removed the compressor.
How do I bench check this compressor to confirm it's bad? It seemed to be working fine before it failed suddenly as I was driving it. Over a week or so it sunk down evenly to the lowest stops on all fours wheels. When I disconnected the brown airline to it, air was released as of it was being stored well in the system.
The numbers after Wabco are: 001 0424. Does this mean it was made on 2004?
    Thanks!

My compressor comes on but wont shut off... I tested the relay and its working fine. Would you have any suggestions on what you think can cause this? Any input would really be appreciated. Thanks & great video! Also wanted to add, have no leaks in my system, as she stays up even when I pull the fuse to disengage the pump.

If there is no leaks the compressor running on is often a symptom of a worn piston seal.

Hi there, unfortunately we are not aware of where that part can be purchased. If it's available to buy separately they will have a part number printed on them, which you could search on eBay. - Georgina, X8R Ltd

+klintous If the compressor was generating good output on bench, it can be a leak within the system.
