In answer to his question, when I scrapped my Renault Safrane I kept the Wabco compressor as a tyre inflator. It works very well compared to the cheapo ones but don’t use the cigar lighter socket, it will blow the fuse.

Piston ring is tapered so watch out when you putting new one back on 😁👍

I studied it pretty well, not sure I recall a taper on it. Either way it's been working fine for months
