No squats!!! Hurrah! Very nice workout. I wish there were instructors today who did this type of a workout. Does anyone find that the workouts today go a lot faster and are a lot harder? Seems so to me, except The Firm workout back in the 80s and 90s - that was ridiculously hard. Thank you for posting!
Thank you sooooo much for taking the time out to share these on CZcams. I have the VHS tape and did the workout for years but I haven't used my VHS tape system for years now and had been looking for an online version. Thank you so much as now I can resume one of my favourite workouts! I see you also have Cher's workouts on here too, which I also have and enjoyed in my younger days and now am happy that I can resume again. Thank you sooo much! 🌹🥰
Thank you for posting these videos! I had been searching for them for several years. I had the VHS tape back in 2000 and did it almost weekly for 10 years. :)
I have had these tapes for years and would never throw them away. They are not available anymore to buy. I realized others could benefit as well during the pandemic shutdown so I decided to share them. I love This tape more than any other tape I have or any gym I could join! Jane is my mentor! This tape gets you into great shape! Once you follow both pt 1 & 2 for 12 weeks I suggest following her on BeFit... She has more awesome workouts... at 79 years young!
@@topcat3097 I cannot emphasize too much what you say about Jane. She is the best! I've done all sorts of workouts over the years and hers are the top, they're well-produced, the music is good, Jane is a wonderful teacher.
Me too!!! I did it almost every day when I was 30 and was in the best shape of my life. I'm now 62 and going back to it to fight that post-meno flab and muscle loss. It's the best all around training, really improves your strength and posture.
I think that lady in blue at the VERY BEGINNING is Sue Cook, the lady with a grey wig in the _stress reduction program_ and in _The Complete Workout._ She was also featured in _The Lean Routine_ from Jane Fonda. Sorry, just me being a nerd and paying attention to trivial stuff. XOXO
Hi, thank you for sharing this video. Do you know if there’s a way to do this workout without that type of bench? Can it be substituted for anything else?
Hi Rosalyn Jane says do these exercises 3 times a week for 6 weeks, then move on to part 2 and continue with three times a week for 6 weeks. You will start to feel a difference about 6 weeks and 12 weeks usually you will feel SO MUCH STRONGER and fit. After 12 weeks, consider additional workouts and I would include this with aerobic workouts on opposite days of the week. Can be anything from other Jane Fonda videos (try BEFIT which has a great new variety), fast walking, running, an exercise bike, etc. Good Luck.
I know this is done at least 6 weeks before moving on to part two but does anyone know if there was a structure? 3 days a week? 4? After 6 weeks are you supposed to do the second workout exclusively or do you alternate with this one?
i’m not sure what jane recommends but kathy smith has a similar workout where u do the easier half for 6 weeks before moving onto the second and harder half for another 6 weeks, and she recommends that after completing all 12 weeks that you then rotate between the tapes in the same 6 week intervals in order to receive maximum benefits & results from it all. :)
First 6 weeks workout three times a week. After 6 weeks move on to part two of her workout with same workout schedule. Combine this workout with aerobic workout (I love Kathy Smith or Cher so included these videos as well but I am an 80's girl and if you prefer todays workouts find something that gets your heart pumping and your limbs moving for at least 35 minutes). Hope this helps.
I remember The Firm but I don't have it. I used these videos only but if you go to a used bookstore that sells used DVDs and VHS tapes they may have it.

My mom use to do these workouts. And I did them with her too. Thank you for posting. ❤

I love these old workout videos. Do you have any old Margaret Richards body electric videos?
No I only have literally what I use… I still use all of these and would use nothing else.
Hi, thank you for sharing this video. Do you know if there’s a way to do this workout without that type of bench? Can it be substituted for anything else?
Yep, you can use the corner of your bed or an aerobic step for the bench when she does chest work.
I've been doing the flies lying on the floor & the rows on the edge of my couch.
How many days per week does she recommend doing this routine before moving to Part 2? thanks :)

Troop Beverly Hills brought me here
While she was opening a can of Mayo.
And needed her (almost) ex husband to do it for her.
U mean to say this isn't KIDS INCORPORATED LOL
Best things about the 80’s!
1. Our youth (Gen X)
2. No fat millennials!
3. Jane Fonda Work Outs
4. No Planet Fitness fools with bad form
