Nice win for Roglic, and next to that I'm so happy to see Schachmann getting better again.
Top 10 on Saturday and now 8th here, hope this trend continues so he can get back to his 2020/21 form.
Ineos' strategic decision making is literally the equivalent to Ferrari's decision making in the past in F1.
I wonder if they had 2022 TdF stage 1 in mind where the favourites went early due to the forecast and then Lampaert won going later as conditions improved. You have to put your GC guys when the forecast says best weather is, but if they didn't think Hayter can win the stage on an equal playing field then roll the dice hoping the rain comes early he could have an advantage?
Nicolas Portal (the Sky-Ineos DS during all of the team's major victories) passed a couple years ago and the team has not been the same ever since.
@@prof_Pomari 4 years ago.
There’s quite a good vid on YT (Cycling Stories?) examining the Ineos decline. As I recall, bad luck (Portal, Bernal etc), ageing heroes (Thomas, Rowe etc) bad form (Sheffield, Hayter, Ganna etc), bad signings (Rodriguez? etc etc), bad tactics (everywhere!) and leadership distractions (Brailsford Man Utd).
👋Merch request! I want LRP bidons! If you get bidons in your shop, I will buy them. Please do it!
So tired of the cycling brands bidons that are either overpriced, ugly, or both.
Yes! that would be amazing
Visma time trails are realy crap so far this season, without the crash of Remco and Primoz missing that last corner, they would both have gained half a minute on Vingegaard already after just 10 km ! Super happy to see Roclic win today ❤
Helmets look so heavy I could be wrong tho
@@josephsong8911 I agree on that... But it is just that I have seen zero Visma deliver a good TT so far this season... And I do not blaim the helmets per se.
Primoz always strikes back!!!
"Vroom Vroom, I'm a car" 🤣 that needs to go on a t-shirt!
The "shit can hit the fan" count is going up exponentially with every podcast!
26:38 that was the Wollongong Worlds in 2022 where Hayter could've won without his mechanical.
Whoops. Australia - Britain. Close enough. Same country anyway. 👀

Glad to see Schachmann back in game
The polish guy did T1 to finish of the descent (not including the final climb) 37 s slower on strava than Buitrago who got the KOM
Enjoyed the recap as usual. Thanks!
Peobably most interesting tt in a while when you Consider all things that happened in and before the race
Dont forget Schachmann
Not mentioning him is Anti German Agenda😂
Good showing from Vine, especially since he was a last minute call up for the race. Hopefully he can string together a full week in good health and no bad luck.
Hmm, Bora beating Visma in the TT... Roglic teaching Uijtdebroeks how it's done. 😉
Guys, good podcast as usual!... but Venezuela is in South America...the north part of it, but still south...😅
April 1...
ARTICULO 7. BONIFICACIONES
Where do you find the results with time splits?
Tour the France was better at measuring times in the 2000s then many organisations nowadays. We can track keys, pets, children easily yet cyclists seems to hard for organisations. Some teams are definitely ahead of the curve, but plenty of organisations are still living several decades in the past when it comes technology.
Also RvV had at the most important sections still those old barriers with metal feet.
Are any of the stages going to be covered on LR for a recap?
I’m throwing a name in the ring for Stage 2: Quinten Hermans. He’s a punchy rider who the could win in a breakaway.
CZcams algorithm pushing me weird flat races in sea breezes on featureless flat courses from Belize. (15:37)
Weather forecasting is notoriously fallible. Ineos hedging their bets by putting Piddock early and Hayter late made complete sense in advance.
ROGLA TDF 2024
Wanna Bet ? He doesnt stand a chance.
@@Na-zj3uk Pogi have a chance in 2020? NO.
Jonas have a chance in 2022? NO.
Roglič without bad luck can win.
He’s Good for sure but in a 3 week race i Think he’s over the top. Vingegaard and pogacar is much more durable.
@@LL-iy7bg theres a big diffrence between a 21 year old pogcar and 25 vingegaard and a 34 year old roglic
Hayters descending was terrible even before it started hailing
I’m so conflicted. Love Primoz but his whole greedy tantrum over Kuss in the Vuelta soured me. Then he leaves and I’m a real Visma fan and have been since they sucked. Now he’s the enemy I still love - like a few ex-wives. He brought the team to life and instilled a fierce winning zeitgeist in the team. He was big brother to Jonas & Sepp. Makes my head hurt!! Anyway one thing I’m sure of is the UCI is dysfunctional.
Get a bit informed, and you will be conflicted less :-) Kuss was not a problem for Roglic, it was Vingo, who HAD to win a stage once for his child birthday, once for his dog, once for a blue sky...
... or you could like different competitors from different teams at the same time like normal people.
UCI! The joke that keeps on being unfunny.
C'mon, he's an extremely competitive guy, and one of the best riders in the world, having to give up a world tour race to a rider he can beat? I'm neither for or against Roglic, but leaving Visma was the right move for him. Anyone who has the audacity to tell a guy like him he has to give up a world tour race out of kindness for a lesser rider, doesn't deserve him on their team. If anything, his decisions during La Vuelta, made me a fan of his.
"...like a few ex-wives." Dude, HOW MANY ex-wives do you have? Something tells me that being "conflicted" and not being "sure" while also having problems with individuals who exhibit "greedy tantrums" isn't something new to you. Just sayin'.
@@simonlyng8335No he could not have beaten Kuss at that point. Vingo could have but no way was he taking all that time back on Kuss. It’s a team sport and Sepp was the secret sauce on that team. Utterly and totally devoted. You conveniently forget the positives I attributed to Primoz. But without Kuss he may well have not won some of his Tours.
Gutted landa can’t do tt 🤷 maybe he just saved himself for helping remco
All teams did get the same lettre from the UCI and all teams can at any time check the UCI rules.... But for one reason or another only Soudal did get a lettre with another date on it ?!?!?! Yeah sure, always those sad excuses, getting bored by it tbh.
I agree that the UCI is amateuristic organisation, logic it is ruled by French who still live in 1945. But nevertheless no other team did find problems in finding the correct regulation.
The first nine minutes of this podcast is only about searching for excuses for the fact that Remco did not win....
As a Belgian I am fan of Remco, but these eternal excuses are starting to work against him, at least that is the impression I get when my friends and I are watching the races.
He did not win cause he crashed. He only blamed himself for the crash. He rightfully mentioned UCI strangeness but nothing more. He did not blame the UCI for his loss.
Maybe you should have stayed after those 9min to know why he actually did not won.
@@koopalibrary First learn to read, and understand what is said exactly before you react....
Please can you point me where I do say that REMCO is looking for excuses ?!?!
Indeed, I did not talk about Remco, but about our two hosts.......
But it does not change the fact that Remco is a rider that complains a lot, and if he isn't his fans are...
🤣
@@swissbiggy if you say so. Seems most ppl say it is remco who often has an excuse. If you are claiming that was not what you were implying then that is that i guess. Though your reply suggests otherwise.
@@koopalibrary it is because I hear the Belgian interviews with Sporza too. And there he was again complaining about a roster on the road which made slip away his wheel....
After that he says that he would have won without this small crash, which again proves my point.
How difficult is it to just congratulate the winner, and to further shut up ?!?!
So yes he is a cry baby that always tries to point at others... And if he doesn't many of his fans always manage to find excuses.
The kid has plenty great performances achieved already, and he will in the future win many more....
But he has to stop with the excuses each time he does get beaten.
April fools style on that broadcast... How about demanding the best guys to start whenever the broadcast have its prime time? No, keep on prioritizing sock height regulations and head sock ban! I dont get where they find these UCI-people, seems corrupt as hell. Nobody is this amateurish and straight out stupid without there being something dirty in the mix.
Arndt will win the sprint
Remco's is definitely back in form. His whining is really impressive this year, he must have been training all winter on that. Looking forward to another season of poor Remco Christ screaming from his imaginary cross about everyone's sins, while they're riding off into the sunset leaving him face-planted in the dust.
this two and their hobit propaganda. Remco is most toxic rider
on point!
Hey LR I have no idea how this would work, but one day if you could do a collab with The Grade Cricketer, it would be legendary. I think you’re both Australian channels who have both changed the CZcams landscape for your respective sports in a similar way
Imagine Pezza and Benji going back and forth 😂
