The Canmake Mermaid Gel is a freaking amazing sunscreen for oily skin! It's the only one I've ever liked. The CeraVe PM makes my skin outrageously greasy. I have no idea why! So weird. I love the Timeless Vitamin C serum, it's super lightweight. Thanks for the other suggestions too! I need to look into Versed.

I have tried most of the products from this video and totally agree with your recommendations, with the cerave cleansers and moisturizers being my fave. Quick question for you - even with the SA cleanser, Vit C serum, and using a form of retinoid at night, do you find the ordinary peel helpful? On days when you use it, would you recommend skipping other active ingredients to avoid skin being too sensitive? Thanks a bunch Abbey!
So glad to help! I havenât been using the peel lately due to barrier damage Iâve been trying to heal for a while đ but when I do I use it in the AM & typically donât need to skip the retinoid in the PM but you definitely can if itâs too irritating for your skin!

I wish people with acne prone skin knew how important moisturizing is. Many people with acne (oily) fear moisturizer and think that it will exacerbate oiliness and as a result will lead to more acne. Absolutely not the case at all. Acne is inflammation and moisturizing helps to replenish the lipids after cleansing (which is a must regardless of acne) and reduce inflammation. A moisturizer with niacinamide is perfect for acne prone skin
Iâm a guy and just now getting into actual skin careâŚ. I always thought you know thatâs for girls bla blah blah however I alwaysâsufferedâ from oily skin to breakouts to tons of sun exposure. Now that I can see and completely understand how important it really is to take care of your face I actually feel better about myself confident and to be honest low key I kinda like it when a girl is studying my face and some just flat out ask me âwhat is your skin care routine I have to know!â
Favorite place to shop is target and definitely donât mind asking a girl what she recommendsâŚâŚbesides I do my routine at home nobody knows and besides skin is skin no matter your sex gender background ethnicities so on and so on

I would LOVE to see a sensitive/dry skin video! Especially if you could find some great products that donât include Hylaronic or Polyglutamic Acid. Iâm super highly sensitive to both those ingredients, PA isnât in much so thatâs not so much an issue but HA is in EVERYTHING! It seems to be especially in products made for sensitive and dry skin. I basically can only use VaniCream (other than the new moisturizer with HA). I want to go cruelty free but am struggling so hard to find options, especially with finding a great moisturizer! The only ones Iâve tried so far that are ok(ish) are two from the Inkey List but they are such tiny little bottles for the price that they are
I have a dry skin version coming soon that I already filmed- agreed HA does seem to be in everything! I need to do some more digging there

Hi!! I just recently found your channel and love it! I had a question concerning cleansers. I have oily/combination skin and am acne-prone. I cleanse morning and night but still have been having breakouts. I use the CeraVe foaming cleanser in the morning and CeraVe SA cleanser at night along with a .5% SA toner and the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer. I am not irritated by either cleanser and do not find my skin overly dry. I am just curious if using a combination of these CeraVe cleansers is a good idea?
thanks so much! I do the same thing (alternating cleansers) and really enjoy that. Not necessary, but allows you to adjust based on what your skin needs!

I have loved this review Abbey for my oily combination skin type. There is definitely products there that I would get. This video also helps me for recommending sunscreen. Can you just apply this once a day before I apply make-up? I automatically thought that you had to use all items for skincare products for am and pm from the same brand! Is this not necessary? Of course happy to help! I recommend reapplying sunscreen throughout the day. When it comes to makeup sunscreen powders are my favorite way to reapply!

I was prescribed epiduo by my dermatologist to use in the morning. Where would you put that in the routine? What can't you mix with it

don't use it together with vit c, exfoliating acids and any other form of retinoids
so question, I am on week 2 of using the foaming cleanser in the am & the pm, but am on day 5 of using the cerave sa cleanser; using this in am and the foaming at night; using the pm moisturizer after both. I am new to skin care & this is my first time ever using products on my face besides just washing, and I am not seeing results. Is this normal? I know everyone is different, but I am just not seeing results; I am actually seeing more... So i wasn't sure if it is not for me or if i need to give it more time...
any advice?
Hey, that's totally normal. The SA cleanser is likely causing a purge in your skin... my skin definitely does that too so I have stopped the SA cleanser for now as I am already purging from tretinoin and the two together is too much for me. Give it 4-6 weeks. Good luck â¤
The rest of your skin care routine plays a large role too! If youâre using other things that have irritating ingredients that can continue to cause issues despite cleanser changes. If the rest of your routine is good there, try leaving the SA cleanser on for a few minutes before rinsing off đ

Hello Abbey, I am new to your channel, I have combination skin but I wanted to mention the Japanese brand Hada Labo. Especially their SPF 50 PA ++++.....it's the blue packaging 90g... comes sadly in a jar, but it has a kind of balancing effect if you have combination skin,and I think also perfect for oily skin specially if you live in humid or more warm places...anyway I enjoy your channel, I always laugh đwhen you drop something!!!

Applying a toner before washing your face, does nothing. The toner is there to re-establish the pH level of your skin after rinsing it with water. Also, all the good ingredients in a toner would be useless if you washed them off right away.
Iâm specifically referring to toners with witch hazel. This is actually a tip I received from a dermatologist.

Toners were originally for balancing the pH because people used to wash with pure soap.
Nowadays " toners" aren't the traditional kind.
Leaving the toner mentioned in the video on for 10 minutes will certainly have an effect, it gives the active ingredients (chemical Exfoliants mostly) time to work. Leaving it on all day can cause irration to some people.
