@@charchar4143 you could have oily skin that’s dehydrated or compromised in some way or maybe just combo skin. My skins been a chameleon since getting into skincare. I never really had breakouts until I got into skincare and irritated it with products. I thought i had dry skin but cerave cream was too heavy. Gel moisturizer such as curology one or i unik centalla calming gel felt too light and I woke up with some dry patches. I’d suggest balance and moderation in skin care (as in not going for things too geared to a specific skin type, too light or too heavy) so I’m minimizing my products and seeing where i can make things multitask

And in summer when the weather is hot you get just the tiniest bit oily in your T-zone but the rest is pretty much normal with a slightly dry feeling. The best products to use is the ones that are labelled for normal to dry skin. Hope I helped 😊. And go have a look on Hyram here on youtube,he can really help any skin type. Me, my sister, and my mom all have the 3 different Cerave cleansers (hydrating, foaming, SA) and we kind of rotate using them since none of us really need just one in particular. I have to say that the Cerave daily moisturizing lotion is amazing. I was previously using Cetaphil oil-free hydrating lotion with hyaluronic acid, which is similar, except for the ceramides. The Cetaphil is good under makeup but is very watery and lightweight and just didn't do much. The Cerave however, transformed my skin. I woke up to my skin looking significantly different than the day before. It looks lightweight and like it's not going to do much but it does!! I own the cream version too, but I'd say the lotion does more for me. That's my new moisturizer and I'm not Changing it. Using it on my wet skin right after washing is a game changer.

I’m hoping to try it out again at a later date. Once I stopped Tretinoin, my skin cleared up almost immediately with just using a salicylic acid 2% exfoliating toner.
Thinking I may try out the Retin-A Micro version so it’s more gentle on my skin

I really wish they had chosen a different filter for the DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen or just keep it mineral only. Octinoxate breaks me out and it is in fact a very irritating chemical filter along with oxybenzone. I have very sensitive and acne prone skin and I am trying mineral tinted sunscreens, currently I have the Paula’s Choice Super-light daily wrinkle defense spf 30 and MDSolarSciences spf 50 in light-medium. Not sure yet which one I like best. Also, I have to comment on my HG under eye cream, the Avùne Soothing eye contour cream. This dedicated eye cream has saved my ultra dry and tight under eye skin. I don’t even use concealer anymore (I don’t have bags or dark circles) and my under eyes look super smooth and just perfectly healthy and hydrated. I will continue to repurchase. Love your channel!!

Hard agree about the CeraVe lotion not being enough for dry skin (or even moderately dry skin). It is so, so light. I wish they'd make a product with a thickness/richness between the lotion and the cream (which is...very intense).

Oily, acne prone, sensitive skin... Also aging skin... Lol. But right now in MN (winter-ish) it's kind of dry. Also, Cerave is my favorite. I started using the facewash and my face stopped being as sensitive as it used to be. I use a light facewash in the morning, then an oil cleaser, then a soft facial cleanser at night. Also, always use face lotion twice a day otherwise my face gets super irritated.

I've used the Cerave Hydrating cleanser since 2007.I started using retinoids then for my teenage going into hormonal acne.It works well for those with dehydrated/dry due to treatments skin.I also used the lotion and cream.
The lotion worked well for my dehydrated, flaky sensitized oily skin then and works well with my more balanced combo/seasonally dry/oily skin now
I keep Cliniques DDML on hand because it has never cause an issue with my skin.Even after I was building up my barrier after giving myself chemical burns.

I just started aczone/dapsone topical gel a few months ago, and when the weather turned cold and the furnace turned on and the indoor air is dry, I started getting a similar reaction on my eyelids to what you described! Then I also noticed that in a few days there was also a dry patch and even my gentle moisturizer was burning and tingling a little just on my eyelids.
I think it was the dapsone, so if you're still using that what I've been doing is switching to a WAY thicker moisturizer and being very cautious to keep my dapsone application far away from my eyes. I dot it on the outside of my face and rub it in toward the center, staying away from my eyes. I talked to my medical aesthetician who also happens to use dapsone, and she gave me that method. She says dapsone/aczone does travel on the skin even if you don't apply it directly to your eyes, so it's important to keep it away from the eyes. Also only use a small pea size amount. I was using way too much also.
