  • This album has German stamps from 1945 onward. It is one of two German albums I have. I did a video of the other near the beginning of this channel last year. There are some beautiful sets of stamps and lots of souvenir sheets. Luckily, I found one nazi stamp sheet that will go into my worldwide album I am currently building.
Thank you for watching. Like and subscribe if you please!

Justa few words from a German collector:
This album is a big mixed up with 4 German areas of a German collection
In the first 17 minutes you'll find stamps from Berlin (Deutsche Bundespost Berlin is printed on all stamps). The first three pages are the interesting ones, because the stamps are from the early 1950s. (only ones of bigger value, can be recognized by 'Deutsch Post Berlin')
At minute 17:01 beginning of the Bundespost stamps:
the interessing pages begins with the souvenir sheet Beethoven and above that you see one from the allied Occupation (both of value)
At 20:40 the sheets of the Olympic games in 1972, also later at 27:00 (very common Stamps)
at 29:08 first ever release sheet of only 10 stamps, which is high wanted, sheets of ten stamps become standard in Germany in the 1990s.
rest of the stamps again - Berlin stamps. The bells are high wanted stamps.
Berlin stamps have a small printage, but the value isn't such high as it should been.

I collect 1939-45 Nazis stamps only...Great designed, strong color & high quality stamps. Most Incredible & aggressive display in Military, Science & Sports. The greatest period in history. Even people who dislike German stamps admired them. A must for German stamp collectors

Yay, I love German stamps. There are just so many interesting periods to collect from there. Recently, started to seriously collect Germany and make it one of my focuses for now. Have bought a large collection of mostly common stuff (I didn’t have yet) and am just sorting through stuff right now. The most interesting things I find are the covers. I have a postcard with a Germania stamp pre printed on it that was sent from like a duke to some damsel. (According to people online who translated it for me) The thing I like the most about it is that the duke actually drew a cute illustration of an owl on it.

That's great! Sorting can be fun! I often find myself quite drawn to covers too.. they can be really interesting, while a stamp may have a meaning/design and postmark, there can be so much more to single cover or postcard. Sometimes even a stain or mark on a cover can spark my imagination about what it's journey could have been. 😊

Nice album. I really like German stamps. I know a lot of people don't but I like the simple, clean designs.
    Thanks for the video.

    Hi Kyle
Regarding the 2x 15pf stamps with handwriting on them..
Text on back says "these commemorative stamps has been signed personally by professor in physics dr. Otto Hahn . I got these stamps from Frau "can't read that" which is the professors niece ."
Btw. Notice the inscription on stamps Hahn, Strassmann , those were the 2 to introduce nuclear fission, 25 years ago (from issue of stamp)
    Regards from 🇩🇰, Claus

Wow, what an amazing find! Otto Hahn, as one of the greatest scientist of the 20th century, also received the Nobelprize for Chemistry in 1945. If you compare the signature with the one depicted on Wikipedia, i would say, it is a genuine one. Furthermore it is on a stamp regarding his work. The rubber-stamp from Otto Kramer says, that he is ladies hairdesser from Frankfurt a. Main, so i guess, that he was a common collector.

Holy moly, I did not know that. I just watched a documentary on Otto Hahn and Lise Meitner. Amazing how influential they were in their fields. Sad the hardships Meitner had to endure with Hitler's rise to power, leaving all her work behind. Here we go with stamp collecting educating me once again, also you guys are a big help. Thanks so much for the information! This knowledge makes the two stamps so much more special!!!

Ever since I was a kid I always had a "thing" for Germany. The Germania series has always been a favorite of mine.

Kyle, nice stock book. I took out all of my Nazi and Hitler stamps and put them in one album. I will go through them and see if I have any extras and I'll send them to you. Take care.

Since glassine is slightly acidic like Ted Talks Stamps and also you have tested it with that acid testing pen, I wonder why they use glassine interleaving? I have one stockbook that actually has clear plastic interleaving like what the strips are made of. I’ve tris to find more online but don’t know what brand it is.

I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of German stamps. There's something cold and boring in them. Perfectly designed and lifeless.
