The EASIEST Way to Solve a Cast Spiral After Mixing The Pieces...It Nearly Solves Itself!

I was messing around with my cast spiral and actually figured out my own solution... and I have been watching some other videos abou this puzzle, and noticed they are a little hard to follow and many people are struggling with them. This is my attempt to make an easy to follow, clear instructional video on how to put i together. And i swear it almost feels like the puzzle is solving itself!

Has anyone else noticed the little tiny numbers on the inside of the grooves? The Hanayama piece and it’s “pair” don’t have them. The other three pieces have TINY little numbers inside the grooves; 1, 5 (I think it’s supposed to be 2 but it looks more like a 5), and 3.
If you place them in the order of 1, 5, 3 you can then slide the Hanayama and it’s “pair” easily back on and re-assemble the puzzle

What I do is almost entirely the same but faster. I try all the pieces in the inscribed one and just look at how far each fits. The one that slides second farthest is correct. However, I memorized NLS (nope, long, short). That's the order of the other three going right to left. You put the inscribed piece and the correct one together, the three incorrect (NLS) together. Now you have 2 chunks and you simply slide them together.

This puzzle literally just fell apart in my hands while i was trying to figure it out lol. Then i couldn't put it back together for ages!

sadly I think mine is broken, ive done all these steps and it just doesn't go together, ive tried as many combinations as i could think of and it just doesn't work.

Make sure your putting it together clock wise. Place the first piece to the left of hanayama and the rest to the right. Make sure you take the hanayama and the one to it's left off before you put the last piece on the right side and twist them together.

I got mine so stuck that i had to use pliers to get it apart. I ended up destroying the finish so i bought a new one. 😢

What makes this difficult is poor explanation. You guys moving so fast that we as viewers cannot keep up. Especially if your doing the the first time. Slow it down.

I respectfully disagree! The guy keeps going backwards and explaining things. I have to watch like a hundred times before I get it, regardless of how fast or slow he goes.
