  • It's hiking day! Our first stop was Calanque de Port-Miou, a 1,400-metre long inlet surrounded by steep cliffs. It's the only calanque in the Cassis district and it's the most eastern one between Marseille and Cassis. A natural shelter for about 500 ships anchored during the year.
Next stopis the Calanque de Port-Pin. It is in Marseille and not in Cassis, as many people think and is a part of the Calanques National Park. In 20 minutes' walk, you can access to this little paradise.
Last stop is in Calanque d'En Vau, one of the most beautiful and isolated creeks in the Calanques National Park. Located in the Vaufrèges district, just before the Calanque de Port Pin. Being able to swim in En-Vau is a well-deserved reward because to access it, you have to hike or arrive by sea with a boat.

I don't live far from this place and it's so beautiful that you can never get enough of it. It's nice to rediscover this calanque through your eyes while you come for the first time. Your camera did an excellent job, the image is so beautiful, it's almost like we are there while watching !

Hey y'all! This was by far the best calanque video without a doubt. I am going to visit there with my wife in a couple of weeks and already full of excitement. Thanks for the video and cheers to your journey :)

was the hike at any point dangerous? I'm traveling with a friend and she's concerned about the falling rocks and the overall safety of the hike

Not really dangerous. The last bit was a steep downhill, but not dangerous at all IMO

Great video! Do you need a map, or are the trails easily marked?

    1) when both of you swim in water, who watch out your belongings? So many thieves.
    2) Is kayaking an easier way to access these inlets from Cassis town? but it looks like a long distance.
Where are these kayaks come from?
    Enjoy your video! :)

We both kept an eye on our belongings. We weren't far from it. However, I don't think thieves would want to hike that far just to steal a few things, but who knows, I may be wrong. Yes, you can kayak to the inlets, but I'm not sure what the distance would be. We didn't kayak, but we saw others do it.

Calanc’o Kayak and Paddle. We had Renaud who is fantastic. I definitely recommend this - it was a highlight of our trip. In South Africa I don’t kayak where there are waves. This was very easy- but I did make my husband do most of the rowing in our two person kayak. 😂
