An additive substance that develops tolerance to be used with moderation… where did that illusion come from!

Yep that is what I said to someone who said that you should cut back slowly... it doesn't work...when I take a drink I always want more. This sucks why cant drinking be healthy like eating broccoli LOL :)

Hi Kevin I stumbled across your old videos from 2016 and absolutely loved them I recently quit drinking after drinking wine every single night to "chill out" and my whole life is starting to change Infront of my eyes and there is no way on earth I'd drink again... Anyway just wanted to thank you for your videos as I just checked out your channel and recent videos and am so happy to see you are still living a sober lifestyle... Samantha UK 🙂

I sobered up in May, then went on another bender. I'm a week into being on the wagon again and intend on keeping it this way, as I can literally feel the toll and damage to my health. I love your channel

If you think a little bit of alcohol is good, you will eventually believe a lot of alcohol is fantastic. This stuff is insidious.

Indeed. We are either pregnant ... or we are not. There's no middle ground.

Just don't drink. Life is too short and there never has been a good ending associated with drinking.

Kicked booze 3 years ago with help from your videos and advice. Trying to quit cigs and am having a horrible time with insomnia. Any tips, tricks, or natural remedies would be appreciated. This seems 10× harder to quit than booze because sleeping without booze was so easy, but this is unreal. Thanks.

Prayer, mouth hygiene, and bizarre type movement helped me.
The our father, flossing, brushing, oil pulling with coconut oil.
Walking backwards, especially up hills and stairs was especially great because it was only doable with great focus. And you stop thinking about smoking if you’re slightly concerned about bumping into things.
I also found walking on curbs, or on low fences at the park- essentially finding balance beam like structures-a great activity.
My aim was distraction and replacement for the pent up energy/frustration. Keep in mind, all the feelings will pass. Don’t believe yourself when you say the cig is the cure- it’s the cause of the discomfort!
Seven months smoke free. Cold turkey is the way to go.
Good luck to you. It’s doable!

Took me 9 tries with Cigs in the 80’s but you have to hate them. Hate the smell especially. Realize how bad you smell to others and how stupid you look standing outside trying to ‘sneak’ a cig. The last realization that I had before actually quitting was (TMI warning) how much control nicotine had on my body. I couldn’t take a shit without having a cigarette first! That was crazy. It took me 3 days without cigs to be able to go on my own. Also with cigs there are so many triggers. The big ones (telephone, car, after meals, party etc) were fairly easy. It’s when you get down to the smaller triggers that throw you off guard. ( for me it was the potty, after an argument, sitting outside). Sometimes the trigger just happens and you don’t know why or what it is. I used the match trick to help me. I would strike a match, look at it and then blow it out and watch and smell the smoke.
It’s been more that 30 years since I’ve had a cig and I absolutely HATE them now. Good luck. You’re worth it.

for me moderation can work when your focused even for 2 weeks say but then you forget later we two weeks is a long time , so I’ve never managed moderation for longer than 3 weeks but usually less sooner.
