Just confirming that Coolers LV3 does counter certain ki blast. Like Kamehameha, Dodon Ray etc.
KonohaXV what about his midair level 1? You know the one that he used against Goku’s Kamehameha in the movie.
It counters beam supers. I think it does nothing against grenade-like supers like the Big Bang Attack
Orange Powarangur I know what scene you’re talking about, but I’m not sure what you’re asking. His mid-air level one is pretty much like Frieza’s level 3. It also just comes out. No counter needed.

This game is pure quality. Every single move and animation on each character is straight outta the anime. You can tell the people behind this love the hell outta dragon ball. If other developers put even half this amount of effort and care into their games instead of the bare minimum they do now we'd be in a golden era of entertainment.

julius hall I think you’re misunderstanding why I criticized that. I’m not saying they aren’t good characters they are and I guess they are different enough but man we really shouldn’t have to pay extra for the two most basic characters in dragonball lore. Ya know what I mean? I respect arc system works a lot cus im a huge fan of guilty gear but that’s some scrubby shit making those 2 characters dlc and not just part of the base game

I mean, I do have to agree with that guy above. Sure, the characters are accurate and everything is a reference to the source material… and sure, maybe they play okay. But c’mon. The goku meme isn’t just for fun.
I love that he makes up for the lack of flair on his energy attacks with animations that look like he's seriously demolishing you with just his bare hands. It's like watching an angry bodybuilder wrecking a printer.
One of the best parts of the Cooler fight in his movie is when Goku fires a massive Kamahame at him and he just "swims"/flies right through it, pops out in front of Goku, and punches him in the face. I absolutely love the fact that they gave him the ability to do that in this game.

Cooler's theme is way too good, seriously the trumpets at the start are just a beautiful way to emphasize his character and purpose, like I almost find as good as Broly's.

I'm sure somebody would be working on restoring his deeper voice. It doesn't bother me too much because it's still Cooler, but yeah, I think somebody is working on adding Budokai Tenkaichi or Xenoverse 2 Cooler voice clips.

I'd personally prefer a Golden Cooler mod first tbh.
His voice actor sounds so spirited and sincere. Like he's really having fun and getting into it. It's such a joy.
While I prefer his voice a little deeper, Cooler still sounds awesome.
It's the same voice actor for Cooler, but they forgot to add the voice filter for his final form. He just sounds like base form Cooler.

Wow Max, I really think that out of all your other breakdown videos this was most definately one of the *cooler* videos
Fuckin' love Cooler. Very faithful rendition of how he performs in his pair of movies. Very pleased they went with form 5 instead of Meta Cooler, and he looks fun as hell. Considering Broly is becoming canon, I'd hope the same fate for Cooler, but his visual design is SO much more aesthetically pleasing than Frieza that I don't think it's likely.

I just love how some of his moves go through super like he did in the movie, mechanics work like how characters are portrayed as is one of the reasons I appreciate the work put into the game.

Ooh a counter super. I feel like Hit should have had that. He's like a more mobile Broly with less armor, like 16 but a striker instead of a grappler. A different utility character.
I like the way he shoots a normal ki blast. He looks amusing while doing so.
I love how Cooler attacks send the enemy all over the place with brutal looking attacks. So many heavy hit sound effects =D!

So Cooler is going to be a challenge to use as it seems since he is missing some components and has low damaging moves and some invincible moves but they need start up, his assist is meh, and his death drop does low damage.........Its definitely gonna be hard to master him and use him greatly then.....

Sounds like nonsense lol. He has great tools, amazing reach, good damage, possible safejumps after lvl1 and lvl3, a dp etc. If anything hes looking like the next bardock.

When you DHC with cooler into his level 3 it is the grab. Max didn't state it but it is shown in the combo portion of the video.

Max said if u block the lvl3 in the air that it will hit u as a true grab so now im just thinking on snap u could do the usually jmll into the lvl3 and there not many options the enemy has but time a reversal correct,do there own lvl3 or just take the hit which sounds very crazy

I went to Rhyme's channel trying to see if he had content for Cooler and he did some testing with Cooler's Lv3 Super and it counters Ki Blasts but I do wonder if it can counter Ki Supers...
Jesus they did a great job with him. The only slight complaint I have is they didn't give him the deep voice, but whatever i'm sure someone can do a pitch mod like Venom. Can't wait for him to come out.
