    Today I installed the Big Red L.E.D. driving lights and the Narva L.E.D. light bar, I also used a wiring harness from Narva that supplied the relay, cabin switches an fuses, this will take about 2.5 hours to install depending on skill level.

    Thanks for the video mate.
    I have a question if you have the time.
    I have a set of spotties that have been on the vehicle 2 years without problems. Wired the same way you've done it here.
    I recently bought a LED lightbar and wired it independently (even using the other side high beam wire as a trigger). Both the lightbar and the spotties work when they're on, but when I turn off the lightbar the spotties lose power and turn off too. Any idea what might be happening here?
    Cheers mate.

      @ServiceMyRide  Před 4 lety

      Not excatly sure, 1st check the earth wire to the LED bar is that it a clean earth! 2nd try using the same trigger wire for for the LED bar that the spotties are using, easier setup and cleaner, still have independent relays and switches just use the same trigger, heard of this happening when the amps drop from 1 head light to another turning off a aux light can do this, that's where I would start.

    Awesome video, really informative. I would've liked more of an explanation about the relays and how they work so I can recycle that info for other projects but the rest was awesome. Time to get me some lights. Would you recommend HID driving lights and an LED light bar or just LEDs all round?

    • @ServiceMyRide
      @ServiceMyRide  Před 4 lety

      Thanks mate, there is heaps of info online about using relays in different ways, this was just for the light bar so not to much to show, in lights I haven't dealt with HID before but those who have love them, I'm happy with the LED for now.

    Hi Mate, you mentioned in this video you are going to installa switch box for the rocker switches. Did you find one? Do you have a video or reference of what you got and where you did put it in the car? Cheers

      Hi Walter, I've purchased quite a few different types of switch boxes but not happy with any of them, jump on to the face book page as I will be installing them soon in a neat spot, no video but a post with pic will be going up soon, thanks mate!

      Hey mate, They are running on 2 separate switches and relays so I can run 1 or the other or both.

    Hey man how are you! Bro what diameter clamps did you use for the led light bar? That pipe is slightly smaller than the rest isn’t it? I’ve got some 76mm clamps at home but they were too big. Thanks 👍

    • @ServiceMyRide
      @ServiceMyRide  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi mate, busy as always setting up the garage and new studio, the clamps in using are 66mm-71mm, they are slightly oversize but I've used strap rubber (from Clark rubber) to fill the difference, hope this helps 👍

    Hey mate have a few questions.
    1.You wouldn’t have a tutorial on how to change the fog lights in the triton I’m not sure whether I have to pop out the fog light surrounds or get up behind the bumper
    2. What diameter are the bar clamps where the light bar is installed
    Cheers

    • @ServiceMyRide
      @ServiceMyRide  Před 5 lety +1

      hey mate, no tutorial but the best way is to remove the inner wheel arch to access the clips on the fog light, will pop straight out, the bar clamps are 66mm-71mm with rubber infill to clamp tight on the bar cheers

      labate71 if you are using a wiring harness that is plug an play you will need to swap the wire in the plug, in the video I connected directly to the high beam
