Thank you very much for excellent info! Pls clarify a doubt if we use UPVC instead of CVPC for concealed bathroom fitting as in project it's cheaper to use UPVC for cold water concealed fitting & for geyser to tap we can use GI. It's bcoz of price difference between UPVC & CPVC .
Cpvc for hot water
uPVC cold water
Pvc drainage
Cpvc pipe used both hot and cold water
And upvc pipes are used for chemical plant

I am very glad that you have boldly come out with the truth.. All along I had been told that CPVC pipes are very robust and that it can withstand temperatures beyond 150 degrees Celsius..This opinion was given by the plumbers, dealers and even the engineers too. But I have seen personally in my home where I have used it for my solar water connection which is also pressurised where a one inch CPVC pipe has expanded to a two inch size like a balloon and I also have photographs to substantiate it.
