Usage:
All supply pipes need to be in CPVC to withstand hot water or boosted water supply.
The drain pipes can be in PVC since pressure will be less.

If you are on well water, the minerals will 'eat' through copper and you will constantly get pin hole leaks. I had a plumber replace all my copper, hot and cold, with PVC / CPVC. Don't know which was used. I have not had issues since and that's 25 yrs ago. I also have friends on public water who encountered the same issues just not as persistent as mine.
