I knew it would end badly, but I just had to....
There’s also another one in act three in the underground part of the map. There is an area with a boat and a bunch of cranium rats. If you click on the boat, someone would tell you you are not ready to face the final Boss, but if you keep clicking that someone will eventually let you go leading to a cut scene then a game over. (Tried to keep the description spoiler free)

Warninf to everyone, if you use Gale as your sacrifice to BOOAAALL than you cant resurrect him. Very unfortunate ending to an honor run.
Your own stupidity for sacrificing a walking nuke
I did this. Not in an honor run, but my gf, and our friend were playing a trio game and sacrificed Gale to the Kua-Toa. Then sure enough after 3 long rests, and several hours of gameplay later. He blew up and we had to reload so far back. Which I call bs on because if you talk to him about his orb he says "I'll go to the depths of the underdark" WHERE HE WAS AT! And he still got us a game over in the overworld.
Its strange that this is a loss condition for anyone not playing a Durge where you can kill him on accident with no consequences
It's because he's in the portal. He does explode in there but it is contained
also if u blow him up while kethric is talking to orin and gortash
I love the narration afterwards. "Well, you technically did it, but everyone's still f*cked." 😂

What happens if he died on act 1 and you make it to act three in less than 3 long rests
Do you think he could take out the elder brain with an explosion from the Druid grove
nope if he was closer to the tower where its hiding maybe 🤔
But can you use Gale's exploded body on the pedestal in the necromancer's chamber?
What if gale will dye in anather place
Astral plane or in house oh hope
it would be neat if you'd moved to a new area that it wasn't a game over but the old area was no completely inaccessible to you
How far away from him is safe
No where
Someone left his body in the House of Hope in Avernus and the game just hangs on a black screen until the Game Over pop up
he can take out the whole city of baldurs gate technically so no where lol hes a walking nuke

Yet another reason to let him die in the portal. You can tell gale much like shadowheart was someone's special OC, except they quite literally made him unkillable except for 1 point at the beginning and then the end. Unlike every other character
Why do you dislike Gale so much?
@tangerinemelon1578 he is the most annoying and has 1 use, and it's in Act 2 for 1 insta Kill strat and nothing else

i kinda agree i never use him or wyll (with the exception of the iron throne i use all my casters to cast misty steps and gates ) im usually a sorc or warlock and shart is always on cleric duty no real need for 3 spell casters in the party i can save my items to sell early and he doesn’t waste them 😅
@@tangerinemelon1578 he's got a terrible personality with a terrible story and terrible endings. They try to paint over this much like they do with some of the other characters by making them quirky or attemptedly funny but with Gale it's extra forced.
I hate that you have to keep gale. It's so annoying I don't like him at all, i hate gale and astartion. I kill them every play through
