Just like with Bloodborne I'm sharing my character sliders for those who want a cute heroine! :)
time spend on char/game so far: 2.6hours, i almost lost hope during the first hour of the character creation boss lol, this would not be possible without my virginity. - Hry
First time playing a souls game and even the character creator is hard wtf i wasn’t warned hhaha. Thanks for this template man :)

It's not that I don't want to be creative, but it's really hard to get my vision to materialize. This gave me a good template to play around with & add my own touches. Thanks a bunch!

I just struggle with the sliders. It's like mind sweeper on if one will make my character look better or worse.

I'm trying to get the nose to not look like a witch, but can't get the nose any smaller, or when I do the nose looks like someone ran face first into a brick wall. So figured I'd come here
yeah normally i can do this on my own, but elden ring starts you off looking pretty rough. i don't need a super attractive character but i would prefer if she didn't look like her name was Grug lmao
Exactly I have a vision in my head but my actual creative talent has such a low ceiling that this was soooo helpful to give me an amazing starting point to make some minor adjustments without botching it all up. Thanks so much for doing this.
This was definitely a lifesaver on time to get the nose right. Like I was struggling. Much appreciation. I changed up some things to make it my own. Definitely a great start!

I appreciate the ammount of detail the character creator has but the way every setting affects each other makes it pretty hard to go in blind and not mess up horribly lol
Thank you! I spent about an hour in to get a nice look, but the nose/brow were killing me. You've made a "fairer" character that looks really good.

haha yeah, im not sure when they started doing that, i think ds3 and bloodborne had it too. (but not ds1 remastered for sure)
i like how Nioh 2 handled it with a simple character code.
@@GrandTickler 3 didn't, spent a ton of time fighting the creator to get a halfway decent character. This puts a smile on my face lol!

If you start to see that your character isn't turning out like that at all, be sure to check that you started with the "Warrior" preset (in the "Choose base template" menu, not the class). Boy did mine turned into a bonafide alien when I copied the eye stats. 😂

For the record, it doesn't matter what preset you use.
If you copy ALL the sliders & options, it'll come out the exact same as in the video. Can't just do the eyes lol. The eyes are connected to the forehead, nose, cheeks, brow ridge etc. So you have to finish the job. That said, it is good to know which preset this started from if you don't want to replicate the whole thing.
@@MinecraftMartin mine didn't. I copied everything, the eyes where like a giant alien frog. I double checked all the numbers 3 times. Then I restarted with the correct preset and it worked. Maybe I had a bug then.

but in Elden Ring its not easy at all, well.. for me at least :)

Made a grizzled dark elf character. Has nothing in common with this character, but bounced around for ideas. I went too far in before noticing how big a difference the bone structure makes in character creation--thought maybe if I just moved the sliders around enough, it wouldn't matter, but :(

Thanks a lot, this helped me greatly to have an actual starting zone for my character, the default sliders positions are simply awful and couldn't even tell what I was doing or affecting

Was awesome to use this as a baseline and make a few changes my biggest change was putting nose height to 195 instead of 118 I always like the nose closer to the mouth. Edit: Hair is whack as usual lol but the one you chose is best it seems.
My first character is a Inosuke, twin katana bleed build. This face completes it.

I suck at doing this sort of thing, so glad someone has posted a video regarding this to help push it towards something better than these default faces that just look horrible, tweak a couple of random things on my own & I'm sitting here struggling thinking somewhere along the lines "how in the bloody hell do I do this?! It still looks awful, heck it might even be worse than before! & the defaults already looked bad enough... has anyone at all posted a video on making a half decent face on this yet? Or is it going to be a while? I'd like to get into playing the game but it's already so late..."... many gracious, good sir, I have to put this down for now & get to bed. I'll screw with it some more in the morning to make a tad more personalized, because I have slight different preferences like any other human being. The worst part of this was the nose! Couldn't get it anywhere close to resembling a proper curve by the eyes...
After screwing around for this for hours.... I've come to the conclusion that it is impossible to make a half decent female looking face without the help of a tutorial video from someone who's already went through immense pain & suffering that found out how to for everyone else... (somehow they just end up looking too masculine/random disproportions randomly throughout the face if you dare to mess with it...)

@@will_of_europa what do you mean I wouldn't be here? The video came up in my recommendations, I didn't search for "how to make a good looking female". Elden Ring undoubtedly has a more in-depth character customization than any of the Souls games.

Fantastic. Although the iris' look a bit weird, less round and more oval. I guess this is caused by several sliders affecting other sliders. Souls character creators always had that issue.
Dragon's Dogma had the best character creation. It was all hard settings, and the sliders had much less increments.
@@MinecraftMartin Dragon's Dogma was certainly good for it's time, though in my opinion Nioh 2 has by far the best character creator in the Action RPG genre. I actually managed to make characters that were very close to real life friends in that one.

Thank you for this, I used it as a template and tweaked it a bit. Had a hard time getting the eyes and nose to look somewhat normal. The eyes still look weird from below but otherwise tis good. :)

that game has some amazing customization and hairstyles yeah, oh AND presets ;p uploaded a few videos for that too but they never caught on that much cause its a lot easier for people to create what they want

this character creator is an improvement over past games but it is awful in comparison to nioh 2 character creation that give you way more options and doesn't alter everything when u change one little thing, i wish fromsoft would abandon this type of character creator of change one bit and it fucks up several other facial features like even bestheda toned it down or stopped using it when they released skyrim this weird "mechanic"
I can just imagine how many people I'm going to come across looking just like this... It's going to be glorious.

What’s the base template?
i started from warrior
I created a new character in Dark Souls 1 recently, and it's almost funny how limited the customization is in that game. I'm pretty sure you just pick a face template, hair style and color.
i think it has some advanced options, but may or may not lack a lot of sliders or even slider numbers so its hard to make a how-to for. ontop of that i remember if u moved 1 slider, all the other sliders would move with it lol. so yeah agreed this is way better ;p

I accidentally make my male character look so much like Nero from dmc 5,i didnt realized it bcoz of his eyes and hair colour are not grey but then my friend say "dude, why your char look like nero?" so i try change his hair and eyes colour and yes, he look absolutely like Nero xD

@@apariciosoaresdelima6185 i use full dynamic range in nvidia options, i think ps4 has a similar settings to increase the black and white level range on tvs called rgb range
Me and my friend really wanted to make a more serious looking but handsome female character but we could never get rid of the double chin the game gives the model by default
