Still jamming to this in 2024. Always will be a banger!!
Well fellow funksters and funksterettes, if you are of a certain age like me, you will probably remember this funky song when it first came out. This was a song that we all loved in the various discos and clubs that we frequented. It is one of those songs that is timeless. So all you funksters, get on that dance floor and boogie.
I am so thankful I grew up in a time when musicians and vocalists were reliant on pure talent, they made music that would stand the test of time, would still get people up dancing, singing along and evoking great memories
I know right!
YES INDEED.WE HAD GOOOD MUSIC BK IN THE DAY.BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE WHO LOVED BEAUTIFUL MUSIC.THEY ALSO APPRECIATED THE CROWD AKA FANS.I WISH WE COULD HAVE A CONCERT OF MUSIC LIKE THAT RIGHT NOW.
WELL SAID AND VERY UNDERSTOOD 👍
Amen to this! ❤

Soo jealous. flew from Perth to Sydney in aus to see them and they didn’t perform :(

I am a lifetime fan of Third World. Still rockin to this in 2023. Following up these guys from the late 80's. Love dem too.
One thing about us Africans is we give good music all over the land! That is something they cannot take from us!
Jamaican not african
African baby AFRICAN

They are Jamaican, Google it
They are Jamaican
Timeless classic 🇯🇲🙏🏿
2023. Its too much...When music IS (WAS) music...
Let's Make a joyful noise unto the Lord in the name of the Father the son and the holy Spirit amen
Still listening in 2924, isn't it amazing what great music came from black musicians, full of love and hope and how much unity there was between black and white? What happened?
Racist
Music has no boundaries. It transcends racial, cultural, political, societal, and religious barriers. People like you make music a tool for your narrative.
Time will tell brotherman
Music has no racial boundaries. A true music lover would know that.
One of the all-time great reggae songs...316 jealous people giving thumbs down? You need your brains and hearts re-wired...
No matter how old this song gets it still gets me dancing. Love it.
The world needs this kind of love.
Come lord Jesus, come
Revelation 22:20❤️
Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart it shall be done on Earth as it is in heaven amen
This recording is a strong claim for vinyl played on a high-end, full-range, hi-fi system.
Boy, how it shook the room! The drums and percussion to the fore hit you in the right spot. And the deep bass rattled all the ashtrays in the house.
Youngsters who listen to music on cell phones simply cannot experience these aural delights.
Hear hear! The UK Island records for this, Shiela Hylton & all of Bob Marleys are full of DEEP bass and dynamic attack. The versions available now are thin and in the case of Bob Marley have been remixed through a mobile phone and an echo chamber!
@@Bongomag p
My son is 20 and is on a 4 yr scholarship for drums and he jams this song 🎵
I still have the Vinyl-LP of Third World from the year when this song came out. :)
I’m a youngster and I know what you mean, I use vinyls. The instruments hit your organs the right way
When I hear this song I always think of my God Jah and His eternal love for us! The day of our sovereign Lord, and only true God Jah, is very near! He is eager to give all righteous people eternal life in His coming paradise here on earth! But to live eternally in His coming paradise, we must exercise faith in Him and His Son Jesus Christ, as written in His Word!
John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent".
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the best version of the gem. That baritone killed it🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
I saw this band twice in the UK in my opinion one of the most underrated bands ever.
Underrated? Who says? III 🌎 was explosive, impactful and loved on a global level! 💕 🎶
@@GlendaClarke-ir2cd by those who knew of them yes but most people are not even aware of them or the role they played musically. They never received the recognition they deserved at the time, only now are many becoming aware of their influence and place in the founding fathers.
Osibisa are another band who similarly in the 70s didn't get the respect, praise and recognition they deserved, I know I was there in the 70s, listening at their concerts and on radio. Not many loved their sounds or were into their genre, those who bought their music after hearing their "chart" successes didn't "get" their tracks that reflected their real message.
Now through festivals and smaller gigs many people can see and hear Third World. Not disagreeing with you re explosive and impactful but initially not global that took many years. Glad to see someone loves them as much as I do.
@@susandikko3521The Coffee Song by Osibisa was first released in 1946, and has been done by many artistes, including Sinatra, but it was never more popular than when performed by this group. They charted well, too! I don't care about charts, this music and these musicians are all top ranking to me!!
MAN THIS MY JAM WE GOING WAY BACK . POSITIVE VIBES ALL THE WAY.RESPECT
Rest In Power Ibo Found Member of Third World 🙌🏽🙏🏽🕊️
Just a classic jam. Heard it so many times and it just never gets old.
An absolute tune.Timeless even now makes you think of long hot summers and times when music was made by musicians and not computers
Couldn't agree more !!! 😂😘🎵🎶👍
I so agree! I hope the real musicians will come back again and young people realizing music made only by computers is soulless.

My mom loved this song RIP. We love you and miss you!!!
One of the best music anthems ever & one I still love to spin on vinyl 45, at age 73. I ask the people "Now that we've found Love What Are we gonna do with it?"
its a shame that so many would'nt know, but I keep trying my friend...
Love never grows old or goes out of style. Neither does talent. After 43 years it's still a hit. Gotta love this❣ 🙏🏼💖
Yes, 1978. I was 14. Excellent song.
You are so right. They sung from the heart, look at the joy on their faces!
America , this song is is for you , 👏
Man that voice!!!!! pure love. One of those voices that u know who it is right away, and everything is all sudden alright with the world.
Jamaica blessed us with reggae music oh yes
Amen
@@C0wboyzfan4life Yup
It was not jamaica, but mother africa, that blessed us with music including reggae, since their ancestors came from the continent, via the obnoxious slave trade
@@ferdinarduguru6444 A lot of people as you, who are coming from Africa , don' t respect Afrodescendants, they think that all music came from Africa( reggae,Zouk,Salsa,jazz,funk...) and it' s not very true.Carribeans and afro americans create that kind of music with african heritage with others influences which don' t exist in Africa,; the bass line, the way of playing organ, drums and guitars.
@@dreadallans1 Thanks for shedding more light on the issue

One of Third World's BEST
Agree!
Who's loving ❤ Jesus Christ and spreading His love?
I was introduced to reggae music in 1975 and Bob Marley lit a flame in me for years and I’m still listening. Also I believe Ziggy Marley should have played Bob Marley in the movie.
I love when the Artists sound as good as the recording. These guys sound better than their recorded version. Oh thank Heaven for the World Wide Web.
I still love this record, this was a GR8 group.Thumbs Up.
Music of my youth. Still amazing! Great rythm and text. Rare nowadays. 🙌🏻

My dad an Irishman who lived and worked in kilburn during the 1970’s as work was scarce in rural Ireland he like other Irishmen Befriended the Jamaican community irish immigrants and Jamaicans both these nationalities were not wanted by a lot of the English people
He was introduced to the fabulous reggae music by the Jamaicans . And when he returned to Ireland introduced his own children to this fabulous rhythmic reggae music I absolutely love reggae music because of this
I Love this song
What music, my god.!!!.. It revives your soul and calms your mind, it's beautiful, I love this group! ^^
