I prayed before leaving to school that I would be able to understand, and anyway funny enough as we were going over some difficult stuff, I felt my mind expand in such a way that I felt that I was capable of understanding it for the first time, and just as I felt that, the sun literally came out of the clouds shining over me and literally reminding me of this song! Yes it is a wonderful song and my favorite cover. Johnny Nash though in 1972 and it hit #1 on Billboard. This was a remake for a movie in 1993 and is the best cover of all. Both are very inspiring.

God, I love this song. Love Jimmy Cliff's spin on it. Especially coming out of this pandemic year, listening to it makes my soul happy. It gives you hope. It makes you feel that the challenges you're facing, no matter how difficult, will all wash away in time.
