First Blood is the best movie in the franchise, but Rambo 2 is the most entertaining and rewatchable.

The last Rambo is sort of an exception. The classic ones, were not as violent.
But since Rambo IV, the violence got extreme, yeah. The last one was pretty much a gore/slasher movie. IV had some scenes where he was shooting a big caliber gun cutting down ppl, but really, the last one was insanely gorish.
Rambo 4 was crazy from the jump lmao I think they were burning people alive in the first 1-2min

My father is a legit rambo, joined the usmc at 17 in 1979. Went to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt (iykyk), and iraq again. 32 years, from motor pool to marsoc and from DI to ordnance supervisor. He's 62 but he retired at 49. Everyone that meets him tells me how nice and sweet he is. They have no idea the reign of terror mastergunz held over mcas new river, cherrypoint, camp Johnson and Lejeune. I have to explain to them that he's found peace after 32 years of being of violence. You can only know peace through war and he's a prime example. That, and he can legally smoke weed and is ready to blame ptsd for any mishaps. Genuine quote.

Only one person dies in the First Rambo movie and it is kind of an accident. The body count goes way up after that. The first one is the only one worth watching.
Because that film actually had a moving story worth telling 😂. Some dreadful acting but still a good film. The others are just cynical cash cows.
