      @dozer7221 there is a video on my channel of me offshore. Its title is Offshore in a small center console or something like that.

    Sweet KW-love em! My 1720 w/115 is very similar and is my go-to boat even before the 263FS. 17-21" are the most all around versatile boats in my mind.

      I feel the same, awesome boats. Similar too my 2014 176 cc. March, 2024 will make one year of ownership, absolutely zero complaints. And only has the Yamaha F90XA, very fuel efficient.

    Love it. Just picked up my 189FS. Question on your tabs. They look like the 12x9 Lencos. How did you clear the ladder with those?

    • @austinsadventures305
      @austinsadventures305  Před rokem +1

      Don’t get the big ones. Get the limited space tabs from Lenco. It clears the ladder but barely. When boarding from the water I have to constantly tell guest to not step on the tab. I am switching to the small ones soon.

    We have a 2013 189fs as well, but ours has the long bench style transom backrest. Did you do a cushion swap or did yours come the way it is?

    • @austinsadventures305
      @austinsadventures305  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I cut the backrest and shaped the rear seat backrest with the original material and had it re upholstered.

      Know that area well, and it is a great boat for that area. 90 pound thrust I pilot is what I run. Check out my video 30 miles out in a small center console, where I ran out of the port.

    What is the total length on the trailer motor up? Does it fit in a garage?
    Thank you.

    • @austinsadventures305
      @austinsadventures305  Před 2 lety

      This boat without a T Top and with a foldable tongue trailer can fit in a standard 2 car garage. May have to go at an angle so you couldn’t park another car in there. Total length of boat and trailer is probably close to 22’.

      @@austinsadventures305 hi, new sub here, live up in the Jacksonville area, will be looking for a boat that can fit in my garage since the HOA has a beef about boats in the driveway or side yard and storage fees are running around $100+, so garage it is. With the foldable tongue, is the boat/motor still around 22' ? I've got about 19 ft without cocking it sideways to play with, thx

    • @austinsadventures305
      @austinsadventures305  Před 2 lety +1

      @@mikewalker1081 Thanks for the sub!
      Typically foldable tongues will fold at the nose of the boat, give or take about a foot. You want the tongue to fold right at the bow if possible for the least amount of space to be used. It all depends on the trailer you choose really. The boat length can’t be changed. 😆 Take some measurements of the boat at your local dealer and go from there. 🤙🏼

    • @Ray56z
      @Ray56z Před 2 lety +1

      @@mikewalker1081 There are trailers available with removable tongue. None of my trailers have that but a friend does and it allows him to keep his in a shed he wouldn't otherwise be able to close door. on.
      Works like the hitch on your truck, remove pin so you can remove ball mount, but with 2 heavy pins so it's stronger. Was originally designed as a thief deterrent, removing tongue back to wench mount, but shortens trailer doing so too.

    • @austinsadventures305
      @austinsadventures305  Před 2 lety

      Drilled a hole between anchor locker and that hatch as high as I could just big enough for wires to pass through. It will handle 2-3 easy but it’s not recommended.

      A couple feet behind the center console there should be a round plate with a screw off cover or it could just be screwed into the floor. That’s to access sending unit and tank info.
