  • I've been dyeing my hair for 15 years so I'm quite familiar with blonde hair dye.
    A couple of years ago I switched from warm blonde to ash blonde and I've been testing options since.
    In this video I will be dying my roots with L'Oreal Majirel High Lift Ash Plus.

    Thank you for your advice, I have tried to dye my hair many times, but I didn't get the results I wanted, but thanks to your video I got the hair colour I wanted.

    Thank you for sharing, it’s helping me :)
    Instead of using purple shampoo to maintain the coolness of the hair, might it be less damaging to apply a toner to it, when it starts to get brassy / warm?

    Was processing time 30 minutes? I'm confused on how long you actually processed.

    I tried this recently. Majirel Ash Plus with 40 Vol. My natural hair is between a level 6 and 7 (looks like a 7, but behaves like a 6 with quite a lot of orange underlying pigment). I was not impressed with the result. Even though I left it on for a full hour, the result was still too yellow, and I had to tone to correct. The bigger problem was that it destroyed my scalp. I got a small chemical burn and my scalp was itchy, flaky and angry for weeks afterwards. Now, some people have sensitive scalps, and I may be one of them, but last week I used Wella Koleston Perfect high lift with 40 Vol. instead, and I didn't have any problems with that. The result was also better. Hope this helps someone 🙂

      Hi Océane! Thank you for your feedback! I have the opposite issue: Wella Koleston leaves me with damaged hair if I use it on a monthly basis and makes my scalp itch like crazy. Majirel High Lift is not for everyone, especially if you have a strong underlying orange pigment. It also doesn't work for overgrown roots as it uses the heat from your scalp to process color and it works for hair that wouldn't normally need very high amounts of blue pigment to cancel the orange. However, it's great to see other people's experiences with the same product and super useful to know how the result can differ from one person to the other :)

      Try keeping it to 20vol max on the scalp, stops the burns x

      You see for orange undertone which colour you would suggest?
      I was using majirel neutral and even purple..and still I would get brassy hair at the back..😢

    Thank you very much for this video I am redhead and on the golden bland lengths which flow I can put ash plus or ash purple.

      Hi lovely! I'm not sure the High Lift line would be right for you. Red is opposed to green on the color wheel so it's a bit of a mix finding the right undertone to cancel the red in your hair. For regular blond hair, you can just use Ash Plus, but not on red hair.

    Hi Kristina, how often do you have to do yours roots? Thanks for the video 💐

    • @KristinaCrown
      @KristinaCrown  Před 2 lety

      Hi Nicole! I usually do it once a month. I can even go 2 month without dyeing my roots, but I find that dyeing my hair also helps with dryness... For some reason, it's less dry after dyeing it.

    Hi Kristina, lovely video again!
    So is all of the blonde in your lengths is from the Ash Violet Majirel?
    So does this mean that you once did a full head with this product ?
    And if so did you do your first full head of Majirel high lift on all virgin hair?
    Or was there some old hair color or bleach in the lengths when you first did your full head with majirel ?

    • @KristinaCrown
      @KristinaCrown  Před 2 lety

      Hi Alice! I've been dyeing my hair for years so the Majirel High Lift was never applied on all virgin hair, just roots plus an emulsion on the rest of my hair of 2-10 minutes (depending how brassy my hair is). HighLift is usually only used on grown roots because it uses the heat from your scalp. I don't think you can lift all virgin hair (the whole length) with HighLift and I wouldn't try it. Ash Violet is for correcting your tone and lifting roots. Hope this helps!

      In my personal experience I would say Koleston (if used with its specific developer). 12.0 by koleston perfect always give me a really light shade of blonde

    Hola cristina, siempre usas un toner?

    • @KristinaCrown
      @KristinaCrown  Před 2 lety

      I actually almost never do because I usually use Majirel High Lift Ash Plus or Ash Violet and the emulsion gives it an even cool tone from root to tip.

      I used to use Kevin Murphy Angel hair that supposedly doesn't dry your hair as much, but now I use L'Oreal Professional Blondifier Cool which seems to be gentle on my hair. The one that worked best, but dried my hair like crazy was L'Oreal professional Silver.
