  • Oki doki. So I fixed the video because it kept uploading upside down, haha!
    Anyways...so I was worried about this colour, I thought it won’t make much difference at all but it actually came out really well and looks much better in natural light. From now on I will keep colouring with this colour as I am happy with it and it neutralised a lot of yellowish hair :) Yay!🎉🤩

      Thank you! I tested few of the highlights but this one I really liked, of course it’s not super professional but for home use it was acceptable in my opinion. Hope it comes out for you and you are happy. Please let me know once you tried it, I am curious how it works for other hair 😊

    I really like the result! It is nice and even and it lifted pretty well. This and the Schwarzkopf 12-1 are the best! I have bought Wella 12/1 with 40 vol and I am gonna try this to see how it comes out I have heard Wella is nice as well. I honestly liked the Schwarzkopf 12-1 the most how it came out to you and Schwarzkopf also has Fiberplex - which protect the bonds in your hair and prevent breakage. So if you had asked me I would say to go for Schwarzkopf Igora 12-1.

    • @svetlanadiaries
      @svetlanadiaries  Před 3 lety +3

      Alexandra Popescu Oh nice! Yes, my hair turns yellowy quite fast and that’s why I needed ashy tones to neutralise. 12.1 Igora was a good lift but it’s kinda sandy blonde which still was really nice and did lift more. I have never tried wells...maybe I will try someday 😃 but for now I think I better to stick with one colour and maintain it. 😊🦋

      @@svetlanadiaries yes, at some point you need to stop trying and stick to one colour that you like best and be consistent with that one otherwise you end up in a few months having different levels and shades in your hair as all the colour have different lifting power and different tones :) So one colour going forward and in a few months everything will look even :)

    I found your video looking for a reference to this dye, I loved it, but one question is not very clear to me, how exactly is the mixture with peroxide? how many milliliters? And another question is how long, I didn't understand if it was 50 minutes or 15 minutes...?

      I tried something similar to this on a small part of my hair, I applied the highlift colour only on the newly grown root area. I used Wella Koleston Perfect Special Blonde in the shade 12/81 mixed with a 30 volume (9%) developer. I have previously highlighted hair and the hair turned purple in the places where the highlift color had touched the already highlighted hair.
      Do you have any advice on this or has this ever happened to you?

    • @svetlanadiaries
      @svetlanadiaries  Před 3 lety +1

      I never tried that colour but I did read online that it is very concentrated and can leave purple hue but I think with good few washes I should remove the purple tint. 😊

    • @elvenstories
      @elvenstories Před 3 lety +1

      Hi! The koleston works on dark roots? I’m struggling with the orange tones 😭

    • @Karawoolfe
      @Karawoolfe Před 2 lety

      @@_tera__4959 it's because it has color and toner in it to cancel the orange and yellow that appear in the hair while lightening, you're already highlighted hair, have no orange or yellow so it deposits the pigments of the toner. The color wheel theory, every color mixed with the opposite color on the wheel makes brown, that's why they use purple shampoo to tone yellow, but since there's nothing to cancel or to mix with it's going to deposit and therefore color your hair

    Its better to use 40 vols once, than 30 vols 2X in the same hair. I use 40vols once and its okay… it handles. Also your sides/ contour needed more dye, were almost transparent without dye, because its a highlift you need to be more generous with the application. It turned out good do 👍🏻

    • @svetlanadiaries
      @svetlanadiaries  Před 3 lety

      Tim Schulze Thank you, yes, I can try higher developer on roots but as I read online that it’s more extra damaging that’s why I didn’t use, just incase I get fried up 😃 Purple shampoo doesn’t do anything much, not to roots anyways. It kinda lightens the yellow hue a little but roots still warm.

    • @svetlanadiaries
      @svetlanadiaries  Před 3 lety

      I agree and that’s why I haven’t been using 12% and never would. It’s bad enough the lighter developer damages but after 12% it would be even more tragic!😃

      @@timschulze4162 Thank you ☺️ That is true, only roots needed and no need was apply to all hair as that’s how damage progressed. No, this Highlift doesn’t give blue tint as I know other highlift did but this one it didn’t for me, it was nice ashy tone, roots slightly warmer but nothing too dramatic. Also Highlift still puts damage on hair so make sure hair is somewhat good condition or don’t put so much on ends.
