I fully believe that is anakin. I think the reason he appeared like that is because he wanted to appear how ahsoka last remembered him
only problem with that is he's missing the scar. he had the scar when he was training ahsoka. this anakin doesn't have the scar at all

also...i think filoni would want a wider audience to watch this? not just those who have watched rebels and clone wars . explaining what the world between worlds is ...can be easier than explaining who the son is ig..so it should be anakin...

I think it's just Anakin's ghost and the music was just representing Ahsoka's feelings and he's appearing to her as she would recognize him. She sees Anakin, is happy and the music is more uplifting but then she remembers who Anakin becomes and then Vader's theme plays. I think the setup is obvious here, Anakin chose his personal feelings and fell to the darkside. Sabine just made that same choice and went with personal feelings. I think we'll see Anakin tell her there was nothing she could have done for him and it's entirely his fault and he can offer some insight into Sabines thinking given they made similar poor choices.

I like the idea that this is Anakin taking the mantle of the father, being balance in light and darkside thus completing his role as the chosen one and appears to Ahsoka how she perceive him physically. That will be cool.

@@robertdouglass1703 yeah. I think balance means peace in this sense. And if there are any sith, there will always be conflict because the sith will always be fighting for more power. But if there is only light, there will be no conflict within the force.

I'm not too sure that Filoni would go as far as to bring the son and daughter of mortis in live action. I feel like The World Between worlds is a place that can justify many visions and elseworlds possibilities, and that will justify Anakin being there, as more of a dream vision manifestation of him rather than a full-on corporeal Anakin or Vader. He has a glove for the mechanical hand because it is how Ahsoka knew him.

My theory is this. Since anakin is the chosen one. It could be his duty to remain in the work between worlds as a guardian or protector.

But Anakin always just took it too far and became possessive of those around him, including Ahsoka, REFUSING to accept her death on Mortis and outright DEMANDING the father to save her. Even when he was told no.

I don't think that this is the son. He only appeared in these few episodes in TCW, it would confuse so many casual viewers if there suddenly is a dark side god doing stuff, that's not the disney way.
I think this is Anakin in his RotS Outfit, because that's the disney way, and he'll be showing Ahsoka around what would have happened here and there.
And maybe we get Mustafar, maybe another Vader x Ahsoka and a scene with Rex, all as flashbacks in those portals. That would make a lot of sense from the disney POV and it would explain why they put this episode in the theaters

In Rebels, neither Ahsoka nor Ezra were dead when they were in the world between worlds, so I believe they don’t need to have died to be there.
Anakin’s the chosen one so maybe the rules of a force ghost don’t apply to him. Maybe he can actually just show up but usually doesn’t

Yeah everyone is thinking way to deep into this. We see this time and time again. Morrok is a great example, "Hey what if hes Starkiller", "Hey what if hes secretly Ezrea turned darkside".. People are just setting themselves up for disappointment lol. Also I don't think most fans know what they want, if this is actually not Anakin we get robbed of a meaningful moment between Anakin and Ashoka.

It could be an evil Anakin who fights Ahsoka, but then it will be revealed to be a test by the actual force ghost Anakin who we will see later.
I think the daughter left some of her essence in Ahsoka, and the son did the same to Anakin. When Anakin was redeemed, his "good" side became a force ghost, and that part that was darkness (the son's influence) was banished to the WBW. That is why Anakin appears as he did at the time he bowed down to and became Palpatine's apprentice.
I don’t think it could be the son. I just watched Mortis again for the billionth time yesterday. And at the end it became pretty clear that all 3 of them died. Once the father stabbed himself, the sons power vanished, so Anakin stabbing him definitely would’ve killed him. Also, the crystal at the top of the monastery fell, which I think means the planet lost its connection to the force since all the force gods died. Lastly, when the daughter died, the planet became engulfed in darkness. And when the father died, there was no more balance. So if the son did live, the planet should’ve theoretically become fully dark. However that didn’t happen, since he was in fact dead.
Anyways the whole point of the Mortis arc is that they as gods can in fact die. So to undo the sons death kinda feels like a fuck you to the father and the stakes of the Mortis episodes. Kinda like how bringing Palpatine back took away all the stakes from ROTJ.

I think you are spot on about mortis in play, but i think it’s the sister portraying Anakin so she can forgive herself from walking away. We haven’t seen Morai yet like we did in Mando. This is her way to get Ahsoka to find balance which will be needed in the near future for her and more importantly Sabine. We are watching Ahsoka battling demons and struggled to be a master because she never forgave herself for hers.

I mentioned this in your Ahsoka emotion video, but yeah I'm really leaning on this being Ahsokas memory of Anakin and this being either the Son or the Daughter trying to teach her a lesson on certain things. Or it could be even a certain force entity that could be related to Baylons pull towards what is calling him and Ahsoka is part of all this, a kind of key or such. Grabbing straws here but who knows, really if they bring a live action of the Son and Daughter to this, makes you wonder if she will get memories of the moments they first met.
I think its indeed an afterlife anakin, who is wise and understands the way of the force and also aknowledges what happened to him and why he did what he did. Maybe he is finally enlightened on his inner struggles, traumas and is now here to help ahsoka, for the first time not because of his selfish character thats overly protective of his loved ones, but just the chosen one who follows the force and does what the force wants.

After almost a week of videos and research, here are my thoughts: 1) that’s clearly the ROTS anakin saber; the button gives it away; the lighting just throws it off. 2) I don’t think ahsoka is dead; when Ezra was there, he was alive and not glowing. 3) I think this is either anakin from before ROTS who somehow found the world and pulled ahsoka in OR this is anakin’s spirit right after he died in ROTJ who also pulled her in; this is all because he is also not glowing and still has his robot hand. 4) she’ll use the world to travel to the unknown regions
I agree that this is probably Anakin from just before ROTS, having somehow gotten into WBW, and that he is the one who has just pulled Ahsoka in so that she doesn't die, just like Ezra did previously. (Not a lore expert, so I am not sure if this makes sense on every level but it seems like the simplest explanation to me.) What's next is anyones guess. But Ahsoka may try to warn him, and she fails to convince, and just contributes to him turning instead... IDK. He might see Padme dead, making him more prone to believeing Palpatine? Ahsoka might see Thrawn and Ezra and jump through that gate, but where on the timeline? ...
Have noticed that some "doors" are circles (most from the looks of it) and some ar triangle with other patterns around it?? The doorway ezra pulls askoka out of is one of the triangle "doorways"! it seems like the shape of the doorway may indicate any "fixed"(unchangeable) moments in the timeline, or moments that can shouldnt be fucked with.. perhaps the circle entrances are un enterable or inprenatrable and only work as a "oneway" window!! There has to be a reason or purpose for why most of those "windows/enteries are circles wheras the one ezra is able to interact with is a triangle... i havent paused tp see if there are other shapes.Just pause at 4:07 and u can see multiple circles pathways/windows bur only one triangle, and the one ezra pulls/saves ashoka from again is a triangle one. Dave usually never does anything for no reason so there must be a reason or purpose for what the shapes indicate! My guess like I said is that the more common circles are either one way windows or "fixed" inevitable moments that cannot be changed or if they are changed could collapses reality, and triangle entrances are ones that are maluable and can be influenced without affecting the natural order of what is supposed to happen.
I think that anakin being in the world between worlds if it’s not the son, is his consciousness manifesting himself there in full body as it’s a realm completely in touch with the force. Like how morai was already there when Ezra showed up to the world between worlds.

I rewatched the Mortis Arc and in the end the father, the son and the daughter all die. I fully believe it cannot be the son because of this. It has to be Anakin in some form, whether it's him in the flesh or some kind of manifestation

The World Between Worlds is that place.
The World Between Worlds is the intersection of all time and space. It very well could be pre-scar Anakin between episodes 2 and 3 where he was sucked into the WBW and we are now learning about it for the first time. If so Ahsoka is going to struggle with not warning him about his future.
You have to consider the viewers who have not seen the clone wars or rebels… I think it would be far too confusing for the average viewer if they were to go the route of anakin actually being the son. It just doesn’t make sense to do that… he’s simply going to give her closure in some way or give her knowledge that will help her

Theory hear me out. Imagine this is Vader. Imagine the purpose of him being in the world between worlds to get padme back. This might be nightfall Vader (unlikely) but if it is imagine he pulled ahsoka out to help him get padme back. His whole purpose for turning to the dark side in the beginning so he achieved his power and found out a way to “cheat death” plus like in the VR game where he nearly did this

I really hope it's not the son. The thought of that coming to fruition infuriates me. They're going to have all of these beautiful moments and then if it's the son then none of those will mean ANYTHING if it's not Anakin. Like are we going to get a whole episode of not really Anakin and then just a couple minutes of real force ghost Anakin later? That would be horrible
Indeed, it would be extremely disappointing if it turned out to not be him. The only scene we have ever had with Anakin after he turned back to the light side is the one at the victory celebration at the end of Return of the Jedi. This is the perfect opportunity to finally make it happen.
I think how we are seeing Anakin is how Ahsoka wants to remember him, regardless of if it is actually him or The Son.
Couldn’t you argue that the world between worlds will look real when you’re there and when you pass to the real world you’ll have that glow
I don't put too much stock in exactly how force ghosts appear, especially since they changed Anakin at the end of Episode VI. There could be so many things affecting this, such as their changing self-perception, the way the other person perceives them (or needs to perceive them), etc.

What I think might be important to point out is that in Clone Wars the Son was not killed by the Dagger of mortis, but by Anakin’s lightsaber. That being important because the dagger was supposed to be the only thing that could kill one of the mortis gods.
Yes the Dagger of Mortis was not the killing blow for the son but the Father sacrifices himself with the dagger and take all the power of the son with that act so I really think the Son is dead either that or all 3 survied

I think this is definitely Anakin... Ezra, from this other galaxy, has pulled him into the WBW from a point before Mustafa happens to help end the growing threat from Thrawn. Anakin, in turn, has pulled Ahsoka through. They will exit into the other Galaxy with Ezra... Sabine arrives shocked to see Ahsoka already there. Just my thoughts.
I think if it is Anakin this will prove something about Force Ghosts. Namely that they can look however they wish themselves to be seen. He was in the light side robes in ROTJ for Luke because he wanted to show Luke that he did truly return to the light and was whole again. Here he would want to have Ahsoka see him as she knew him to ensure that the trust was there. That she would know that it was truly him. So he had himself look just as he did in the Clone Wars. As for why he has his Jedi Weapon this would link to the Last Jedi where Luke as a projection from the force did the same trick to make a replica of that weapon. Something that has been known to be done in Force Nexuses before as far back as The Empire Strikes Back. Yes, that was a force vision of Vader on Dagobah, but he also had a presence. The only difference is Luke manifested that vision in the Tree of Dagobah. Here it would be Anakin manifesting his old form so he can help his padawan once more. At least thats my theory on it.

It's definitely Anakin. He's presented in the way he is because that's how Ahsoka remembers him. It's not a force ghost. The world between the worlds is specific to the person who is transported there. It's meant to be a 4th dimensional kind of dream/memory world where everything is happening all at once, time isn't linear. It's like the teseract from Interstellar.
I think it is more interesting what if Ahsoka became the Jedi Knight. The Council states she went through quite a thing that not any knight could, so she defentely could return to the Order and become one of the knights. That would make Anakin a Jedi Master, so he would have other options in the Episode 3 to save Padme, not mentioining Ahsoka around him with whom he could be more open about his emotions, I believe.
Hey Theory, the biggest German SW CZcamsr (Star Wars Stories) just released a video with his 3 theories on who Anakin is in EP 4 of Ahsoka.
Firstly his interpretation of what the World between Worlds is, is the following: it's no place allowing time travel or a multiverse, rather a place where different people from different times can meet, u have the ability to intervene conditionally and u can only exit the wbw by going through the portal u came in (just like Asoka and Ezra in rebels) basically u can't travel in time, however act with people from other times and your own timeline is always fixed.
The theories:
1: It's Anakin from around EP 3 he enters the world between worlds and just like Ezra sees Ahsoka in danger and saves her. (him saying didn't expect to see you so soon could mean it's Anakin shortly after Asoka left the Jedi) what speaks against this theory is that so far we haven't seen that portals to the future can open
2: It's Anakins force ghost, maybe the world between worlds is a place where force ghost can manifest themselves and can partially intervene, however it brings up a lot of questions like why is it only Anakin?`couldn't others like obi wan and Yoda be there too? And why didn't they intervene, or did they and we didn't notice?
3: It's not Anakin but the son. The beings of Mortis literally are the force. Morai(Ahsokas bird) is more or less the reincarnation of the daughter, and she has access to the wbw. Implying it probably applies to the other beings of Mortis like the son, but they are dead, right? Not the son necessarily because 1. After Ezra leaves the wbw the father and the daughter are still rather static while the Son moves more, which could be a sign the son lives. Supporting this theory: while the daughter and the father were killed with the blade of Mortis the son was "killed" by Anakins lightsaber. Supporting this theory furthermore is Sam Witwer. He is the voice of not only maul but also the son. We already heard his voice in ep1 saying: "he is the chosen one" in the beginning everyone thought it was maul, but since maul and the son share Sam Witwer as their voice actor it could also have been the son.(just like you stated in your video) Speaking against this theory of course is that we heard the voice in a temple of the sisters of the night and maul had a deep connection to them...

I think force ghost can have sabers in the comic of the adventures of Darth vader castle the force ghost of Anakin appear with a saber and the outfit could be to show her the way she saw him for the last time. In the end we could say the world between worlds works different than the living world and how they manifest(I have wanted to see the force ghost of Anakin appear to Ahsoka because the force ghost of Anakin is the least explored of all the saga)
In Wii Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga - which is THE Standard of Lore Accuracy im Star Wars, the force ghosts have lightsabers.
I think the Son would complicate things for "new" viewers. There's not really been anything overly complicated about these episodes yet to confuse.
Imagine thinking they're going to reference some esoteric arc from a cartoon. The casual audience would be even more confused.
IF this is the case. IF it is done right. I would like to see the Sister pop up at the end all flowing water like "all your scheming and planning, and here you are, right where I wanted you. To show you the Will." or something better written to kick off whatever the next stage of this will be. Not excited but it would be really neat to see Sister reappear, and show that the Will of the Force isn't a thought exercise, it is a very real thing. And even Brother cannot move against it.
I think this is just Anakin, he may have visited the World between Worlds after Ahsoka left the order. The WbW shows him Ahsoka and he saves her. And thats why she’s there

A whole episode of not Anakin and then probably seeing him later on as force ghost Anakin for just a few minutes of screen time? Makes no sense. Technically the way it works is more like the MCUs branch timeline theory if you pull someone out of the world between worlds then it is doesn't change the main timeline it creates an alternate timeline a branch time line . And i also would not like this Anakin to be the son in disguise that would undercut hayden imo . I believe it's a variant of Anakin

Dave basically said this is Rebels season 5. Throwing the Son into it a huge villain would completely undermine the Thrawn/Ezra story they've been setting up. The portrait of the Son moving in Rebels doesn't mean he's still alive. The Daughter moved to open the portal and she's dead, so that was an illogical statement. There's just no rational reason for forcing the Son into this episode unless it's a one off that pushes Ahsoka forward. If the Father/Son/Daughter play any roll in this, my Occam's Razor is that Anakin did take over the Father's position as he wanted him to do, thus he'd be head of Light and Dark, hence the light side Anakin & Imperial theme.
Hey bud just wanted to say I love your channel I like how your real with things and don't beat around the bush and lot stuff you say makes sense. I really hope it's anaken and may be hes appearing in front of her in that out fit cause that's how she will remember him easier cause that what he was wearing the last time she seen him and be cool if obi-wan shows up to to give her advice on what to do. Or anakin is the one who saved her and that only he could of saved her is by pulling her in that world
I really hope that it is just Anakin and not the Son. I say this as a starwars fan. Its hard enough for me to keep up with stories due to not reading many of the canon novels etc. But I manage to get by. I can't imagine how hard it would be for casual viewers as it is, let alone adding the Mortis gods back into the mix. It would be a big own goal if Dave F has added him in without any sort of introduction or story recap for the casuals.

It's also possible that since Ezra knows how to enter the world Between Worlds that he had reason to pull Anakin out. Maybe right before episode 3

It could be that force ghosts appear to as the viewer would remember them. So Ahsoka would think of him as episode 3 ani and Luke would see Obi as old Ben in the OT

I think this is a good Anakin that pops up and that he is finally able to finish Ahsoka’s training against the fight with baylan.
What if after Anakin brought balance to the force and became a force ghost, he found out about the world between worlds and he is now the keeper of it, he would then fill the Father role from the Mortis gods, Ahsoka would be the Daughter obvs, and then maybe a starkiller type character/Vader secret apprentice would be the Son? It will be an interesting episode anyhow, especially since it’s going to theatres.

I think its Anakin too. When Ahsoka was pulled out by Ezra an older version of him pulled her out. You can go back and forward in time in there. Time isn't a linear path. I believe its Anakin.
I hope it’s Anakin, man. This is probably the only chance we’re gonna get of watching Anakin and Ahsoka in live action. I don’t want it to be some “trick” or whatever, I just wanna enjoy the moment.

My new theory is that sometime before Anakin fell to the dark side he found an entrance to the WBW, went in, saw Ahsoka fighting Baylon in one of the portals and yanked her out just like Ezra. That's why he isn't glowing. But Idk. 🙂

I think they just wamted to portray him like he was in the beloved Revenge of the Sith, and the explanation would be that he wanted to present himself to Ahsoka in the way she remembered him....like in ROTS.❤
It was probably footage that was cut from ROTS.
All of this is Ahsoka going through The Trials. When she returns, she will be a Jedi Master.
Luke and Hera will find Ezra with the help of Jacen, and a young Ben Solo. But that will be the next season. Luke and Wedge (and Han?) will show up after Hera’s failure with the hyperspace ring, and there will be 2 or 3 missions going on at once.
•Ahsoka finding Zeb and Rex for help.
•Luke, Ben, and Jacen searching for Ezra.
•Sabine sabotaging the inter-galactic voyage to find Thrawn, using her engineering “power.”
Unfortunately, Hera will probably die, saving Jacen.
I heard this episode will be in theaters. I hope it rocks.

Maybe it’s based on the perception of who the person talking to the force ghost. So Ahsoka sees anikan as she did the last time she saw him. And anikan can see Ashoka’s current form because he’s been keeping watch since he died. Just a thought

I would say if this is Anakin, he chose to appear to Ahsoka as that Pre-Mustafar younger self. Because that’s how she remembered him before going on the mission to Mandalore, before Order 66.
HISHE made a joke about that perception with the casting change for Force Anakin during the Special Editions compared to the Original Release. So maybe this joke is being brought into cannon, from a certain point of view.
As an example of this from another source of media: In The Legend of Korra, Aang’s son Tenzin ends up in the Spirit world, and while there speaks with him. He perceives him as an older man compared to how Korra sees Aang when he speaks to her as a younger man.

He said hello snips, didn’t think I’d be seeing You this soon. Telling us he seen her recently. Think of times Ashoka has interacted with anakin around ROTS. I think this is truly anakin and for some reason the force has brought them back together to defeat a powerful evil. The only thing that makes me a lil nervous about this is the Vader theme. But I really hope filoni makes anakin if not a goood character, a morally balanced one in the least. Anakin was never truly evil as sidious is. So this is the chance for us to see the True anakin. The one the fans don’t know. The one I love the most.
I almost wonder if the reason they allow the lightsabers now is because lightsaber cyber crystals are a living extension of yourself ... they require that connection to you specifically and Noone else can connect the same way ... so kinda like a if you still have it when you die ... you can be granted that

So I know it's a different scenario but here is a thought..Luke projected across the galaxy, looked different as well as had a lightsaber that wasn't in his possession in EP 7. Maybe it really just is Anakin. This will for sure be a interesting reveal either way, can't wait

I think your kinda right about world between worlds is where force ghosts reside because in clone wars qui gon tells yoda he exists in the past present and future. Where else does one do that but the world between worlds
Thank you for finally debunking this Theory! It was getting really annoying with everyone saying it's Vaders lightsaber or he has no scar, when he very clearly had the scar and the ROTS lightsaber
I actually believe that Anakin has become the Father after his death in ROTJ and is bringing balance to the Cosmic Force. Ahsoka dies and is brought to the World between Worlds due to her cosmic power given to her by the Daughter on Mortis. Anakin will teach Ahsoka to tap into her cosmic powers thus creating Ahsoka the White (light side of the force). He will put her back in the time of the finale of Rebels where she shows up with the staff and white robe.
