I once had the privilege of meeting a Muslim of common sense.
He was a journalist in the west for an Arabic Newspaper in London.. He told me how much he hated the arrogance of his colleagues. They were constantly ridiculing the Kuffar for their stupidity. He felt compelled to tell them a few truths “,That’s a nice Rolex Watch you have there, was it made by an Arabic firm?’ That’s a super Mercedes car you have, are they made by Arabs.
What about your computer, Mobile, Radio. TV. Is there ONE Arab company that can produce any of these things. And yet you ridicule those that can produce this level of excellence. None of them are Arab Companies.! Their reply was we don’t need to make these thing we just PAY the Kuffar to make them for us.
Of course said my new found friend, you have plenty of money, where does this money come from? OUR OIL was their reply.
Oh said my friend, The oil that you sat on for a thousand years until the American Kuffars came and showed you how to get it out of the ground and process it so that you could sell the excess to the World and become rich. Thanks to the Americans. !!!!

Same for all religions and uber-powers... The problem is, Islamic history, and more importantly, Islam's role in shaping The West and The World whitewashed from our history (unless you do a history degree and take a pertinent topic, and even then pretty biased).. The truth is Muslims invented many things of their own and were obsessed with literature and scribing (copying texts to sell for profit). They spread all those heretical Pagan (Greco-Roman) texts to Europe via the Moors of Spain, despite Catholic's efforts to stop them.
      --
Muslims planted the seeds that just needed the Printing Press to bloom.. The Protestant Reformation and The Enlightenment can both be attributed to Muslims and their prolific scribes. The Muslim world was far more literate than The West in general. Scribing was such a huge industry to Islam is vehemently resisted the printing press. No printing of drawings either in Islam. It rebelled against The Western Enlightenment, like Western Conservatives did and still do in droves.

People tend to forget that the early Middle Age of Europe, it was near constant warfare due to Viking raids, barbarian invasions, kingdoms and principalities being created by warlords, chieftains, exiled nobility, etc. Second, by the time the Islamic invasion into the Levant and Persia started, the two powerful empires, the Persian and Byzantine empires were exhausted both politically and militarily due to constant warfare, palace coups and pandemics. The Islamic invasion hit the Christian learning centers real hard like Egypt, Jerusalem, and North Africa, places that were relatively spared from barbarian invasions and strife.
My contention is that if the Byzantines and the Persian empires were able to effectively stopped the Islamic invasion of the Levant and North Africa cold during the 7th Century with the Byzantines able to hold most of the Levant and Egypt for at least 3-4 centuries and the Persians with the help of the Byzantines were able to hold Mesopotamia for at least that long or until the Mongols came, Europe would had their Renaissance in the 12th century especially if the Byzantines were able to hold on to North Africa for another 3-4 centuries.
The Golden age of Islam came about when the Arabs were able to assimilate the knowledge centers of The Levant and North Africa, Persia and India via converts and made their own discoveries and insights. When the Mongols destroyed Baghdad, the center of knowledge shifted to Andalusia and later, after the fall of Constantinople, the Ottoman Empire. When Granada fell to the forces of both Aragon and Castile in 1492, the Renaissance was already starting in Italy and spreading slowly but surely into the rest of Europe. When the Age of Explorers and Colonization came, Western Europe was on its way. By the 18th century , The Ottomans were surpassed by the Europeans in scientific discoveries, explorations, inventions, innovations, music, architecture, warfare, etc. When the 19th century came, the Ottoman Empire was dubbed to be the sick man of Europe.
If you look at what is happening at Western educational institutions today , the Marxist Left and the Islamists allied themselves to destroy the West from within with the help of the Chinese Government and corrupt Western leaders.

Yes, the book was titled Al-Jabra (which is where we get algebra from). It was written in the early 9th century, and when eventually translated into Latin in the 12th century would become a standard work in European universities for several centuries. The same Persian writer was also responsible for another work, which introduced Indian numbers (so-called Arabic numerals) and the decimal counting system to Europe in the 15th century. Up to that time we were still using the limited Roman numerals.

    • @ShanghaiRooster
      @ShanghaiRooster Před 4 měsíci +7

@@peterschmidt1453 There are many reasons for this falling behind. The major one for me is the destruction of Bagdad in 1258 by the Mongols. The city was the major centre of learning in the Abbasid Caliphate (as Alexandria had been in the Hellenistic world a thousand years previously). When it was sacked the library was totally destroyed - all the books and manuscripts thrown into the Tigris. The men of learning were probably scattered or killed, and without the old resources, trying to rebuild would have been a lost cause (as again, it was at Alexandria, although that place had been in decline for some time due to persecution of the scholars by later Ptolemys). Most important, the political culture changed for the worse. Warlords replaced scholars as heads of state. In the islamic golden age, discussion was free and open; even religion could be critiqued in a way impossible to imagine in today's febrile atmosphere. At the same time in Europe, as you allude to, the Catholic Church was persecuting 'heretics' and anybody who dared to differ from doctrine. Europe went backwards for a thousand years after the fall of Rome.

There is no Arabic numerals. It was totally invented in India. They copied this info in a book by Al-Khwarizmi and now they claim ownership But the West is in connivance by calling the decimal system as an Arabic system. But in Arab countries they correctly refer to the system as originating from al Hind, that is India.
In the 12th century, his textbook on arithmetic was translated into Latin and has been credited as having introduced the decimal number system to the Western world.

As does the fact that if Islam was a 'true religion of peace'..
Then all of its most extreme believers, & other zealots, would all be: EXTREMELY PEACEFUL PEOPLE!
Funny how that's never the truth, huh..exactly the polar opposites.
What it actually is, is a dark-ages cult of hatred-filled madmen, who love paedophilia & misogyny, and murder & mayhem..but clearly also suffer from a massive inferiority complex too..which only further frustrates their many angers & issues.
And their 'beliefs' and their so-called religion's 'holy book' is entirely based on all of this vehemently vile vomit.
Personally, I'm an atheist, but even I have a perfectly good appreciation for the difference between real faith..And just the many faces of dogma & deviancy in so many 'religions' like this one. So much hatred & perversion.
What happened to just wanting to be human, and practice many 6:21 random acts of kindness & occasional, senseless acts of great beauty & courage..?
My late Grandmother used to have a hanging in the family home:
'Love..is a precious thing, that can only truly be nurtured in one's own hearth, and by one's own fireside..
It cannot be picked from the gardens of strangers, and it cannot ever be sown in fallow fields.'

That makes those two religions way more open to interpretation and allow their followers to accommodate their beliefs. Just as a matter of interest, the Wright Bros. managed to make the first successful powered flight, but all the science was worked-out in England in the 1850s. And the power source that allowed powered flight to occur was the internal combustion engine invented in Germany.
In fact a glider carrying a man was flown off a hill in England back in the 1850s to prove the concept (air having to travel further (over the hump in the top of the wing) has less pressure than the air traveling straight under the wing.

And by 'everything else' i mean Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, new age, NLP, autogenous training, spirituality, psychology on my part. And islam on his. We connected quite good and i was able to learn about some deep seated beliefs of his and convincement normal non-islamic people will never do; because he opened up quite a lot. As did I.
BUT, while I was open minded and my focus was always peace, he little by little radicalized himself and became a total fundamentalist. The thing is, the more he became an extremist the more unhappy he was. and is. To this day I don't know any other human who is that isolated, unhappy and frustrated as he is.
