- Mecca is absolutely important to Islam. This is the place where Adam, Eve, and Abraham were to have lived. It is supposed to be the oldest city in the world famed for its culture, trade, and the birthplace of Muhammad, yet there is absolutely no historical evidence of this. No historians mention Mecca - ever - not until the 7th century which is much too late for the wild claims of Islam. Plenty of other towns are documented, but not Mecca. The Standard Islamic Narrative has nothing to stand on.

Since becoming a mother I decided to leave Islam. I have a daughter who will be 9 years old next month. My family is full of tolerance we said Merry Christmas to our Christian friends but I realized the reason why we have high tolerance is because we don’t practice Islam. None of us do solat/pray, I don’t even read the Quran. But as I grew older I tried to learn Islam properly but idk why I just never can accept it fully. And now that I have daughters I know for sure I can’t accept the teaching of their Prophet. I can’t imagine if my soon to be 9 years old is being married to a 50 years old man I don’t care if he is a prophet or God Himself like hell no I’m not giving my daughter. I grew up in Indonesia and there are many girls under 15 years old (I’m talking about these days 2024) that are being married off to a 40-50 years old Sheikh. In Indonesia they do have Women and Children Rights but they still can’t do anything if a 12 years old (this was even in the national news) being married to an old man, because they said in their religion is not a problem. The girl’s parents agreed to the marriage and since their prophet did marry an underage child then for them it’s fine. I have 2 daughters I just can’t ….nope I will find my way to appreciate God’s kindness.

I have read elsewhere that the authorities in Mecca do not allow archaeological research there as it would prove the claims that Mecca is ancient would be refuted by the lack of any remains.

I don't know of any other prophet that came from Mecca. But Jerusalem or as you say Israel, it is from this place where many prophets came from. Gentlemen, you have to again refer to the absence of anything in the archaeological record pertaining to any habitation prior to the 7th Century. Surely, the "City of Adam" would have extensive evidence in the ground. But there is no "tell"; there are no ruins; there are not even any coins earlier than the 7th Century. The absence of any pre-Islamic evidence at Mecca must shout more loudly than the voices of Islamic apologists.

Archaeological investigations in Mecca prior to the construction of the skyscrapers were NOT PERMITTED by the local authorities for good reasons. The only thing that was excavated was the remains of an old fort from the 13th or 14th century AD.
Ptolemy and others have already documented ALL Arab settlements in the 2nd century AD - the supposedly "most important place of mankind" Mecca was NOT among them. And this so-called "prophet" Muhammad... if he was such an important man, from whom the violent conquest of half the then known world started - why are there NO records, engravings or coins about him? Mu'awiyah I (reign 661-680 AD) was the first caliph to have coins minted with his image - with a CROSS in his hands and above his head! He was a Christian before the disagreements about the unity or trinity of God at the turn of the 8th century. Abd al-Malik and his governor Al Hajjaj ibn Yusuf were the actual founders of Islam, the pagan cult that only began after the middle of the 8th century with the Quran and Hadith. For this purpose, a "Prophet Muhammad" was invented, to whom Abd al-Malik gave the name - derived from the term "MHMD" (Mah'mad - Muhammad), which was around 2000 years older and was a term reserved solely for God himself.

I just can't believe what this guy was narrating. He said Mecca didn't exist in historical documentation. Quran mentions Mecca only ones in the context that they won one of the battles there. The holy city from quran is named Bakkah, which is known today as Petra. That is where Kaaba was originally located.

Jay, was the Jewish and Christian apocrypha added before the translation from Aramaic to Arabic or after?
They're very quick to discount Mecca, but they themselves cannot establish the location of the Gihon and Pishon rivers mentioned in the 2nd chapter of Genesis... which means they cannot tell us where the Garden of Eden was located. They mention nothing of the archaeological findings in what is known as Mecca. And yet, they speak as if they know the one and only truth. Pretty sad to witness.
